I always wanted to see something like a floorless scrambler, except that then the cars would flip upside briefly.

I've had two decent ideas.

A flying drop tower. Similar to the intamin tilting drop tower, but tilting the full 90 degrees to face down in the flying position. There was something like that at IAAPA wasn't there?Or have I gone insane :S. Either way I'd like to see if any of them get made.

 

And a "Space shuttle" launched tower. In a space shuttle you face vertically upwards rather than straight forwards before being launched. This would give the impression of being launched straight into the sky and a (hopefully) realistic effect of a space shuttle launch. With some immersive space station theming I think it could make for a really good ride.

 

The main problem with my ideas is that I think the rider comfort may be a little awkward though :S

^There was no "flying" drop tower at IAAPA this year.

 

I am still about putting LSM's on an Intamin drop tower to compete with the S&S towers while still remaining true to the pure free fall.
