Six Flags Vicksburg [RCT2]

Recommended Posts

I was looking around the internet. This is what I found.

Vicksburg is proud to announce that a new entrainment is coming in 1994. Six Flags has bought 230 acres of land in Vicksburg, Mississippi. "We are proud to bring entrainment to this historical town and to bring more people into town", said Park President Josh Turner.

The park will feature four theme areas; USA, Confederate, Mississippi, and France. Two roller coasters and other themed rides. "I am glad that they are bringing back the history of are state, but we had eight countries that flew over Mississippi", said Mark Hoover.

The park will open April 5th 1996. Construction of the park has already started in 1994. The roller coasters won't start construction tell 1995, so if you go to the park you will see just buildings and some flat rides.

Please remember these rules when posting within the Game Forum:

3.) Do NOT start a thread for a park if you only have one screenshot, or just a Photoshoped logo. We want quality posts and threads. Get your park, or track, started and moving along before you need to make an announcement.

4.) Be descriptive. The better your thread is, the more comments you'll receive on it. Well thought out threads, and good pictures always get you more views, than something slapped together haphazardly.

War + Parks = don't match, even if it is Historical, especially sense its the kiddie land.

The vekoma coaster (I say vekoma, because arrow only had a few coasters with cobra rolls) looks ok, except I don't understand why the first hill after the drop has to look so lumpy. You also stated that it was a clone of SFGAdv's Great American Scream Machine.

and if that didn't help, RCT2 comes with a copy of the ride.

I will also say that the park feels like your trying to cram a ride or a building in every possible spot, I know this is Six Flags, but the rides feel really close together.

I hope you use these tips help you out.

I know there is a copy of that ride but I wanted to make it unique but have the same features. I forgot about the cobra roll, I will be fixing it today.

I really am liking your names of all your coasters and rides! They are very creative and make the park feel really nice! Look forward to the next update, keep it up!

Thanks for the comment. Thats the most difficult part for me is the naming.

I agree that the second hill on the Vekoma is just plain strange. Smooth it out. Maybe have interlocking corkscrews or consecutive corkscrews to give it more of the GASM feel.

I have to disagree on the second comment. I like parks that use up the space well. It seems like you are doing that. The only problem I see is that you may run out of rides and ideas and still have a large space to fill. I have that problem myself.

Otherwise, it looks fantastic. Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing more.

^I always run out of rides because I put stuff near each other. But after the 1st season, when we are adding more rides they will be further apart.

I have work on the Great American Coaster. Here is a photo of it. All the rides are testing for Grand Opening.

I still need a name for the twist ride in USA.

Here's the new layout and info.

1. Some of the buildings look kinda plain. Add some decoration/windows to some of the buildings.

2. Is this gonna be based off of the original SF parks and not include too many Looney Tunes/DC Comics character-based rides?

Glad to see you took that s-bend out but now that Looong Flaaaat straight section looks a bit odd. Have you tried going further down out of the loop and then back up into the double from there? Curious, what's the speed the train is hitting at the top of each of the loops?

As for the twist, how about scrambled eggs? JUST KIDDING!

^^ - This park won't have those theme areas like other Six Flags parks.

^ - The coaster does look weird, but I don’t want to mess with it.

It is Grand Opening here in Vicksburg. It is April 1996. We had two storms that came in, but that didn't stop the people from coming to the park. Park President Josh Turner told me that we had a great turn out for a Grand Opening. The twist ride got painted blue and white and it is now called Hurricane.

Now for the photos!

I'm not a huge fan of the woodies name, may I suggest changing it to something more relative to it's surroundings e.g. Surround it with trees and call it Forest Flier or Tree Runner. Just something to keep in mind.

Overall the park is looking good so far keep up the good work.

It looks very good and the layout of the woodie looks really fun!!!

You really are improving with your skills and I aplaude you on that fact but I'd try not only using full tile trees, and mixing it up more with shrubs and smaller trees to make it look more natural, also try goofing around with some landscaping around the woodie, it'll make all the difference
