Divv3k
Hi people! A bunch of British TPR members couldn't wait til June for the Scandi Trip to start so we needed to come up with some excuse to go get drunk and stay up late earlier! With Thorpe Park opening Saw: The Ride recently we had the perfect excuse we needed. On top of Saw a few people in the group hadn't been to Legoland before which we felt would provide a nice complement to the madness of Thorpe. We had a great weekend! Updates... LEGOLAND (below) WAGAMAMA & HOTEL BAR! THORPE PARK So the first day we did Legoland. I just love this place. It's probably the best themed park in the UK next to Alton Towers and its just tons of fun. We weren't quite sure if we could do a whole day at Legoland but we found that when you have a great group of people you can spend a whole day there very easily! Without doubt the best ride at Legoland is Fire Academy, there's nothing funnier than competing against your friends and pumping away! Check out Steve's video (keep an eye on Anth!): [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=P1030011_5ccg[/coastertube] Here's some photos... Fire Academy is Divv approved! I can't wait for a TPR takeover in Billund! More Legoland fun to come... If you're wondering why Brad looks so buggered watch the video above! I'm convinced that this was designed specifically with TPR in mind. Time for the best ride in Legoland! Of course this group is incapable of passing a slide without staging a takeover. "Yes, we're all members of the Hobosexual Alliance." I'm so excited to see Q-Bots in a Merlin park. Hopefully Alton, Chessington and Thorpe will follow suit soon! The whores were also too lazy to walk up the hill. The whores rode this. I just took a photo of the sign for TPR's park index. Cartoonish photo of TPDave quota: FILLED. "I'm Super Dragon Train, gimme some track!" The evil dragon certainly had seen better days. Beware the curses of Generic Wizard Man. Looks like it worked! Dave is always on the lookout for new ways of attracting females. I guess this means we did The Dragon next. We tried bribing the ride ops to lock them in. Unfortunately the Legoland employees are way too honest. The greenhouse makes it a very loud experience as the bits all smack against each other through the ride. Greenhouse POV. That is indeed an enclosed car! No you are not seeing things. Ooh a ride sign! We must have rode this next! Today's lunch and DNA menu is brought to you by Steve. I'll let you think of your own dirty caption for this one! Waiting for Steve to pass and pressing the water bomb button was a fun game! Whilst we waited for our Jungle Coaster slot we laughed at each other on the Wave Surfer. If you visit Legoland on a weekend you're not allowed to queue up for it. The only way you can ride is by picking up one of these "fastpasses". The Battle of the Daves is reaching all new levels of gore and brutality! The ride itself is good fun. Maybe not worth the long waits but it's nice to have another dark ride in the UK. Lou loves generic Egyptian heads. The queue is littered with Lego "artifacts". Luckily these are bolted down in case people try and move them. Beware pickpockets in training when in the queue! The first stop was the "new for 2009" shooting dark ride - Laser Raiders! Brad's excited because we're at Legoland!!!
Divv3k
Legoland Part 2... I really think Legoland is one of the best parks to visit as part of a group. I can't wait to get back to the one in Billund for more fun like this in a couple of months! Thorpe Park will be up at some point this week! Here's our supertastic fun group of Generic Lego Fans. We had a great day! Is it Anth or is it Hitler? It's just like the Lego special olympics. Mike's problem #88 - Doesn't have a real grass skirt. Is he Dave or is he Laq? If you're in Legoland make sure you do Rocket Racers. Not so much for the ride but really because it has the BEST pre-show video this side of Sea Odyssey at Port Aventura! Denmark is the only country in the world where the ducks are bigger than the cows. Who's excited about Scandi now?! BLAST OFF! Well, not quite. The group gets super excited about the big shuttle launch! If you look real closely at the displays you find loads of cool little easter eggs like this. I think I can see Lego Steve in the bar! Yup, the streaker is still there! This be a dead skeleton made o' Blocko says I! Mike's problem #63 - sitting in the front of the Log Flume. So whilst none of those guys could breath for five minutes Steve took the opportunity to lie back and recover from the previous night! We tried squeezing five into this boat. It didn't quite work out. The only reason Dave wanted to ride was so he could play with the Duplo in the line. Yup, Pirate Falls was next. These poor wet people have Ben to blame for their plight. These rapids are very "RCT". What better ride to get in the mood for Scandi than Viking's River Splash?! Mike's problem #27 - too many bananas. Louise
Mike's problem no. 91 - His inability to let his friends go to bed before 5am, even when they were up until 5am the previous night, again because of him and him alone. Brad, why do we stand for it?
TPDave
^^ Whatever you say Bradley.
Brad_G
Brad, why do we stand for it? It was the stealing of my car keys to get more beer out that I can't forgive ^^ Whatever you say Bradley. I hope you do come to Scandi, I really do. No seriously it'll be a good laugh.
Rob.Lloyd
Brill photos Divv but you need to post some photos of the drinking session to top it off.
Divv3k
By popular demand! Steve randomly showed up at one point with a balloon. I really hope it wasn't prised out some poor child's hands! Okay, that's it for your "bonus" update! I'll do Thorpe later! Brad, it's like 5am. Get to bed! Fudge 1 just looks creepy in the disguise! Looks like he might needing that disguise soon! Lou tries out Steve's "Drunken Disguise". Mark - this is exactly what I'm bringing to Scandi! This is Scottish Steve. He startles easily. Mike's problem #46 - Divv's posting bar photos. And attempt #2... If you haven't been to Wagamama before you really must try it. It's amazing! Group photo attempt #1 Our guest at dinner was Pete Doherty. Poor Brad really struggled with the chop sticks but never gave up! Done! Here's mine - number 42. That's all you need to know. Go order it! Here's Lou's dinner of choice. Very tasty! Mike, there's a Wagamama at Tivoli Gardens in Denmark. Sign up for Scandi and eat with us there! A staple of these Brit Crew get togethers is dinner at Wagamama! ghost007jas
That fire truck attraction kicks SO much ass! That's exactly what I believe an interactive attraction should be, one that really gives you a work out! Great trip report, it looks like you had a great time! Rob.Lloyd
I think SteveC has a fetish with balloons.
Louise
Bahahahahahaha!!! No camera can or will ever capture the true madness of a Brit Crew Bar Night. I swear, it isn't possible. Much amusement. Looking forward to seeing Thorpe pictures from Coleslaw: The Ride, etc etc.
TPDave
More drinking photo's!!! Ben's caption is fantastic
cobra_roll06
The nights at the bar were truly epic! Talking to SteveC after him nearly finishing a bottle of JD is by far one of the funniest conversations I've ever had! I hope to encounter another in Scandi! And where did the balloon actually come from?
