itnotfair Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 ^ Well done. I wish I rode that beast before it got so painful. Maybe the rehab time will smooth it out a bit? I've heard a lot of complaints about KBF's inverted coaster. I'm glad to see you guys defending it. Silver Bullet is a good time, and while it lacks the jowl-inducing forces of Batman, there are at least three coasters at Knott's that I'd rather see scrapped before that buttery B&M. Boomerang (Cookie-cutter Vekoma, boo-urns.) Timberline Twister (Not even worth the credit.) Pony Express (Its short, boring, and has terrible capacity.) Yes, though, Xcelerator is incredible...I rode Superman at SFMM today and the acceleration is paltry in comparison.
Scream162 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 ^Yeah, but Superman The Escape opened back in 1997 and Xcelerator opened 15 years later. You can't really compare the launches. I, too, like Silver Bullet. However, when you compare it to every other B&M inverted out there, its falls short. I don't think I've ridden a B&M invert that I don't like but obviously some will be better than others. I think everyone's issue with Silver Bullet is that it's weak compared to the other "larger" inverts such as Alpengeist or Montu (which are both intense, incredible rides).

SharkTums Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 ^And it's not really going to open then anyway since the world will end!!!!
Mechanic Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Maybe Xcelerator is really Terminator and it came Back From The Future. In 2012 the rides will meld into a rocket woodie simulator that will kill everyone on the planet. This whole 2012 end of the world thing is making way more sense now.

ebl Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 ^ Maybe you were "xcelerating" time a bit... Eric
SuperShawn Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 Does this mean Xcelerator is a make believe coaster that I only dreamt I saw? And since its always closed it will always be imaginary?
themeparkman25 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 No this means over spring break I can imagine it into existence and that it is working perfectly! Does anyone know what exactly is going wrong?
Jayjay719 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 ^Yeah It's an Intamin! Ok seriously though, I love all Intamin rides! They are truly rides of quality....Ok I'm done.
