AlmereStars
After finishing River Forrest PT is ready for something new. This time it won't be an already-finished park, but we'll start with a small waterpark and see where we go from there. I will also do seasons this time! The waterpark PT bought is really simple and small. It contains a few nice slides but thats about it: Small entrance, no parking lot or anything Swimming pool #1, the wave-maker broke down and is something PT needs to take a look at Swinning Pool #2 and the slides at the back. Because it's a pretty old simming pool 1 of the 3 slides scratches everyones backs open... it has to be closed down for safety reasons. This lake will probably be important when I want to expand everything! So thats the waterpark in the current state. I only have 4 weeks before the season opening and this is what I plan to do in pre-season: - Remove second swimming pool, it's not populair and maintenance costs a lot of money - Repair broken slide - paint the slides into happier colours - Start preparing for expansion - Re-opening and mediaday explaining the plans for expansion If you guys have any suggestions (themes/colours/ideas or anything) just say so! Steffen_Dk
Please use cs slide supports! Right now it looks rather bare, but I'm sure that it is going to change when you expand. The small entrance building or whatever it is, is pretty nice, but maybe you could add more life to it such are a fountain in front of it or something like that? triggernel
Dumb question, but how do you connect the slides to the pools? Thanks
Mr. Starr
Because it's a pretty old simming pool 1 of the 3 slides scratches everyones backs open... it has to be closed down for safety reasons. Umm... Oww?
triggernel
^It might be just me, but that happens to me on every slide.
AlmereStars
@Steffen: haha I will use CS Supports on the slides! The entrance will stay the same for this season, but after that it will change a lot! @triggernel: There is a piece called "end section" or something, use that right next to a pool area and your done @Mr. Starr: the slides are in pretty bad shape when PT bought the place, check next update to see what happens with it! Update Season 1.1 The building/removing crew already showed up last night and did tons of work! They started with the 3rd slide, it's almost gone now but the slidetower looks much less impressive The 2nd pool also gets demolished, but the park said there will be a replacement before opening day! Last but not least the buildingcrew closed down the entire lake and put in these gigantic cranes! I really wonder what they'll do with the lake
triggernel
I like the demolition of the pool.
thrillrideseeker
Last but not least the buildingcrew closed down the entire lake and put in these gigantic cranes! I really wonder what they'll do with the lake OMG! They are going to put in a GIANT B&M Flyer with a splashdown effect like Manta!! Or not... Anyways! The park is looking really good! I like the way you are developing this!~Matthew
triggernel
^Yay another coaster made up of mostly brakes!!!
AlmereStars
@triggernel: thanks @thrillrideseekerthank you! but no, no Mantis, no coaster at all (at least not this season....) Update 1.2 Aaaaaahw its gone!! heeey whats this?? a skeleton for some structure? looks like the tower won't be so open anymore Through the gates (Which I may not enter! security is a bitch) you can see the replacement for the previously removed swimming pool, for those who followed PrimeTime Resort it might look a bit familiar! thrillrideseeker
(at least not this season....) Well at least there is still hope!! So far I am liking how this is going, and I can not wait for the next update!~Matthew
AlmereStars
@thrillrideseeker: keep hoping! media presentation day of all the plans is just 2 updates away! Update 1.3 These pictures where send to me, it shows how fast the constructions are going! Although still under construction, the basics of the tower are clearly visible! Some billboards has been put in, and the painting of the slides also started A 3rd slide is also being build, and already done as you can see here. Looks like a small slide but size doesn't matter
thrillrideseeker
Looking good! Looking good! I am excited for Media day!! [How sad is that? ] ~Matthew
terrancew_hod
^^I'd be scared to get on that slide, considering that thin pool at the bottom. If you move the wrong way, you'll hit the sides or not go in the water at all!
Reality15
I actually like the slide tower without that third slide better, it looks much more realistic. Keep up the good work, this looks really awesome.
AlmereStars
@thrillrideseeker: haha, won't take too long @terrancew_hod: Yeah I thought about it, and it is really small.. maybe I'll make the pool a bit bigger. But the whole idea of that area would be different if I do.. aaah well, I'll see what I can do! @Reality15: I agree, with the third slide sticking out on the side it looks more squashed into eachother
DBru
^^^I think we just have to use our imagination, and pretend that is just a normal, thin splash pool (found at the end of most body slides)
terrancew_hod
^Just don't name a peep Terry; he just might start pacing at the bottom of the slide looking at that area saying "Aw heck no!" Terry "Really using his imagination" Weaver
AlmereStars
as for the thin swimming pools: there gone! you can now safely slide and don't be afraid to break some bones or get a concusion! update1.4 I recieved some more photo's of the tower, which is almost done now.. good thing cause the media/opening day is coming really soon! I wonder if they finish the second pool in time! Some vegetation has been put in, trees and bushes haven't arrived at the site yet Tower as seen from the bottom These promotional posters are hanging all over the city! At least now we know what the logo looks like
DBru
Those posters are perfect! Awesome work.
AlmereStars
^wow thank you BIG UPDATE Season 1.5: Opening Yesterday the park opened for the first time! it was a huge success with over 600 people swimming everywhere. Mystic Harbour was everyone's favorite, not a big surprise cause it's the only new area yet. In the early morning many people lined up in front of the small entrance We're open! Most people run pass the slides and ran straight to Mystic harbour. But everyone liked the fact that the slides where themed! Okay, I haven't shown alot during Pre-Season... surprise a new building, serving as a restaurant Welcome to Mystic Harbour, don't get lost! @Dbru and Terrancehow: a special picture for you guys.. you see, thin pool is gone! It's slightly bigger then its brother at PrimeTime Resort, and just like The Lost Harbour it also has a lot of wave creators all over the place! thrillrideseeker
Oh wow! Mystic Harbour looks amazing! You are really doing a great job! I am excited for the next update! jason10
Mystic Harbour looks pretty stunning! I love the whole idea of it. There should be something like it in real life as it would be fantastic! I love the work you are doing and all I can say is keep making each update as superb as they have been so far!
