spacemtfan
So, this is my first RCT3 roller coaster that I post on Theme Park Review. Hopefully, it goes well. Anyway, this is a coaster I created called "Rasengan" (for any anime fans, the name should sound familiar). It's a B&M Stand-up roller coaster ride that goes through a ninja village. Of course, it's not as big or intense as Riddler's Revenge at Magic Mountain, but I think with all of the buildings built around the coaster, I think it will be thrilling enough. So...here are some pictures: This is the station where the guests board the attraction. Might need to add a few more things. Overview of the ride along with the ninja village. I still need to add a few more buildings and some more trees...and some of the buildings still need rooms. So...comments?
DBru
Not big on the colors, but the buildings are looking good!
BelgianGuy
As far as I can see the layout rocks your world but I think the zero g is a little low for the speeds it has to get up the cobra roll so you might wanna change that and if its any help you can use asian wall set and custom supports. the asain wall set will get you a better anime feel to I think and every coaster looks better with custom supports. I hope to see more of this
thrillrideseeker
I like the layout of the coaster, but not so much the colors... and I agree with "BelgianGuy" That zero-g roll is going to end up hurting some one, so maybe change it a bit? Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see more! ~Matthew
Chris Benvenuto
I think the colors reflect Naruto's bright orange jumpsuit and the Rasengen when seen on screen is a bright ball of blue energy, when the proper amount of chakra is summoned. So, if your questioning the colors, that's why it's those colors and if he were to change it. It would have to be called some other Jutsu and the like Sorry about the info, but I've jumped on the Naruto anime train last year and have watched the show since. (I feel like such a nerd ) But, good idea here man! An asian wall set would help with the theme, and keeping the themeing consistent with an idea like this! Thelegendarymatthew
Killer Zero-G. Epic Theme, but yet agian. I am a big anime fan -Matthew.K
spacemtfan
Thank you all for the comments! ^ That is the reason why I picked those colors. Also, from what I learned from my art class, orange and blue are colors that complement each other. Like how purple & yellow and green & red complement each other. But...I can see why people didn't like the color choice. So, I changed it. I think it's much better. It reminds me of Naruto's Shippuden clothes. Plus, I think it looks a lot better. If you guys don't like it, I can change it back. Also, since many people commented on the Zero-G roll being too low, I raised it up a few feet higher. I took a picture from the ground to see how high it's off now. Is this better? I hope it is, because I can't make it any higher with changing the cobra roll. Feel free to leave comments! Chris Benvenuto
Either color scheme is fine, I just wanted to point out that info for people who don't watch anime or don't have a clue what Naruto is. whenever I correct people or tell people about anime and facts from different animes, my nerd scale goes through the roof. Roller Coaster facts? not so much!
DBru
The whole ride looks MUCH better now! Make sure to continue with those custom supports!
spacemtfan
December 19, 2008 I'm almost done with the village. Just a few more plants and pieces and then I can start with the custom supports. And now...some photos... The cobra roll from the back... The double corkscrews... A shot of the first inversion from the queue line... Please leave any comments or feedback...
DBru
I'm really liking this coaster... Interesting layout for a stand-up!

spacemtfan
December 23, 2008 Two more days until Christmas! Anyway, I am almost finished with the buildings and the supports. Hopefully, I can get a POV out before New Year's. Here are your batch of pictures for today: The overbanked turn with the new supports... A new building has emerged near the zero-G roll... The diving loop with its new supports... The corkscrews with the new supports... Please forgive me if the supports seem a little off. This is my first time actually using the custom supports. As always, comments, questions, and feedback are always welcomed!
thrillrideseeker
See? Supports make a world of differance! Your coaster looks so much better!! I peronsally did not see anything wrong with the supports. Keep up the good work!! ~Matthew
spacemtfan
I am almost done! Like I said earlier, I hope to get a POV out before New Year's. But...here is an over-head shot of the coaster so far:
Thelegendarymatthew
Well I will tell you that anime themed coasters are hard to pull off and you probably did the best anyone else could come close too. The coaster fells more like a floorless coaster. I would get more Asian themed walls and roofs though. -Matthew.K
spacemtfan
^ Anime-themed coasters are hard to pull off. But I think this we'll manage. Funny that you mention floorless...I was thinking about making it a floorless coaster, but I thought a stand-up coaster would be better. I can always change to a floorless train whenever I want, because it's the Extended Coaster. =============================================== December 27, 2008 Merry Chri....oops! That was two days ago. I hope all of you had a great Christmas. I did (I got a Nintendo Wii) ! Anyway, I've been making little progress with the ride. I have decided to add a little wooden fort/gate surronding the village, as it is in the anime. Here are some pictures. I could really use your guys' help in making it a bit better... Here is the wooden entrance so far... I think it needs a little more work, but this will add to the whole 'ninja village' atmosphere. A shot from the back of the cobra roll... Any feedback? spacemtfan
January 7, 2009 Happy New Year everybody! Sorry I wasn't able to get the POV out in time before New Year's Day, like I promised. But things got in the way, like life, homework, and the mock trial for my Government class. Also, with school semester finals coming up, I can't waste time. Anyway, I need a little help with supporting the catwalks on the first hill: Is that fine to just leave the catwalks floating in mid air, or is there some way that they are supported. I would like to know before the park decides to crash on me. Here is another overview of the ride. Feel free to leave comments and feedback! coastercrazy216
I'm loving the coaster, but I think you have the skills to make this a park. This could be your big attraction and ya it could be really great.
SFAfan#1
I agree with coastercrazy! This really looks like it could turn up to e a very nice park. Also, the Naruto(however you spell it) coaster looks awesome! I actually liked the zero-g roll how it was originally, but I guess it would be dangerous lol. Keep up the good work
spacemtfan
^^ ^ It actually is part of an existing park that I'm creating. Hopefully I don't screw it up. I have no pictures for today, but I do have a preview video up-and-running at TPRTV and YouTube. Enjoy! packfanlv
The coaster looks pretty darn good. I love the theming you added. I wish I had the patience to design a ride with this much detail. Thanks for sharing! BTW you spelled Bolliger & Mabillard wrong in the closing credits.
spacemtfan
BTW you spelled Bolliger & Mabillard wrong in the closing credits. Shoot, and I also forgot to put the "14" in "coasterfreak14" in the credits. I added an annotation. Hopefully that helps...
