Crystal Creek (RCT3)/No Custom Scenery

Recommended Posts

Hello, my name is Erin. I'm a mechnic at Crystal Creek Amusement Park, the park is in early construction. The park idea came from a man named Derek Patter. He had no experience with parks or coasters. He was a hiker who came across a creek that you could see al the way to the bottom. Usually he would just take a picture but this time his mind imagined a Roller Coaster speeding around it. It was a slim chance, but he thought that maybe if he contacted an Amusement Park company they would consider it. So he e-mailed Cedar Fair with a picture of the area. A month later they responded and said that they would check it out. 2 weeks later the Cedar Fair coaster designers started working, and the logo was done. Here it is:

Boo boo,

I think you forgot to read the Game forum Etiquette thread when posting new parks:

3.) Do NOT start a thread for a park if you only have one screenshot, or just a Photoshoped logo. We want quality posts and threads. Get your park, or track, started and moving along before you need to make an announcement.

I wouldn't be surprised if your park adventure ended before it started.

^That's naughty! But I see it now...

I am not at all disrespecting this park in any way, but no one got pissed at this:

Yeah, I probably should've posted a teaser pic, sorry.

That's because the rule went into effect after he started his thread, so it doesn't apply. Starting your thread two months after the rule went into effect assumes you've read and understood the guidelines.

Hope that clears up why I said what I did. The rule was so that members post parks and tracks that show progress made (rides, scenery, etc), instead of a teaser pic and nothing else. That's what the preview thread is for.

I'm working on getting a park together, but I don't want to show anything until I get something worthy of viewing. Personally, a logo just doesn't do it for me. I designed two coasters/dark rides yesterday and I want to clean them up and add them a themed area. I'm still learning how to do the custom scenery so I know I'm still weeks away from having something ready so it wouldn't make sense for me to just throw up a logo and nothing else, then post nothing else to it for weeks.

^Okies! Don't see how we're rude when you didn't take time to read the rules, but that's life right?

We look forward to seeing the real progress you make on the park! You know... buildings, scenery and rides; not this lone picture of water stuff.

Good luck!
