Guest Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Hopefully they use some budget to replace those seats on Nitro, gross! Its cool theyre painting it now because GAdv opens really early in the spring, so if they did it then theres no way it would open on time.
coasterdude5 Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 That's an interesting color for Medusa. I'm looking forward to seeing what all they do with it. Great trip report!
thrillgeek Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Blue!?!? Where on earth did that come from. I too am really excited about the transformation! May 15th.....if they started now couldn't they get it done sooner?
TheRapidsNerd Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Well, now we know where the Soul Glo people sat...on Nitro. Medusa in blue eh? Ladies and Gentlemen, start your speculating!
kamikazewatermelon Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Obviously Medusa is being painted blue to match the water when they make it into a B&M AQUATRAX!!!!1111!!!one1.
Josh Davidson Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 Obviously Medusa is being painted blue to match the water when they make it into a B&M AQUATRAX!!!!1111!!!one1. Now the real question is, what will the name be.
DiSab Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I must say, I do like the blue track color. And by the looks of it, the supports will be a metallic silver/gray color. I do wonder what the new name will be, though. It should be interesting to see how this comes along during the off-season.
Brandy524 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I didn't notice the Nitro seats until someone else mentioned it, then I went back and looked, and man, they are very gross; head and armpit stains. Someone needs to do some scrubbing! Yuck.
Jinx Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Obviously Medusa is being painted blue to match the water when they make it into a B&M AQUATRAX!!!!1111!!!one1. I kind of feel like the blue is a primer or something? It looks kind of rustic...for lack of a better word. Lol.
saxman47 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I didn't notice the Nitro seats until someone else mentioned it, then I went back and looked, and man, they are very gross; head and armpit stains. Someone needs to do some scrubbing! Yuck. these are the original seats from 2001, and are only found on train C. The other two trains have new seats that are in much better shape. Unfortunately those old ones can't really be cleaned, the foam is kind of just worn away on those areas. Hopefully train C will get some love this off-season although the budget probably doesn't allow it lol.
BuschSchoe Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Nice trip report. Medusa looks like its being painted the same color as Griffon and Manta.
Josh Davidson Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 Nice trip report.Medusa looks like its being painted the same color as Griffon and Manta. Ah, I hope not. I wouldn't mind Griffon's scheme on Kingda Ka however.
