ragerunner Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 This summer my family and I visit the Columbus Zoo and Jungle Jacks Landing. We have been to a lot of zoo's, but this may very well have been the best. The theming, animal exhibits, and attractions were top notch. Hope you enjoy the photos. Our crew. They sure make things fun. ADMIN EDIT: I have gone ahead and added Photo TR: to the beginning of this thread's title. In the future, please remember to include that notation for any photo trip reports. Other than that, keep up the great work!
Electerik Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Nice TR. I don't think I've ever seen that place before. Thanks.
carolinacaniac Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 It is kind of neat to see the way they changed the old Wyandot Lake area. I find it to be an interesting move that they seperated the dry rides from the waterpark. Great pictures! I would love to check out the zoo.
restoca Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 I've always heard great things about this zoo. Your great photos clearly illustrate why. Must add to my "to do" list! Thanks for sharing.
DiSab Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 I haven't been to the zoo in the past year since the opened Jungle Jack's, but I always love the atmosphere there. And the manatees are always fun. reminds me of HornyManatee... One thing I would love to see in the park is a nice little Euro-Fighter. I think its definitely something within the budget of the Zoo, and it would be a nice ride to have right in my hometown.
andy_e219 Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Thanks for the pics, I wanted to visit there this past summer, but I didn't have time, mabye next year.

Jungle Jacks Landing needed more landscaping to be in line with the theming of the water park and zoo. It should be interesting to see their new Safari area with the jungle boat ride that is planned to open in about a year.
coasterbill Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Jungle Jack's landing is pretty cool if you absolutely hate anything that resembles a tree.
Badgergrrrl Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 The last time I was at this park was 25 years ago..It was called "Zoo Park." The "Sea Dragon" was called "Jet Flyer." This was the very first rollercoaster I ever rode..I think I was 6 years old. I really want to go back and see this place again!
spaceace12 Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 On my 2010 list to go to. I have a friend who lives over there so I can sleep there if need be. Also, I want to see JAck Hanna, he looks like a fun person to be around.
