jarmor
Background: InMotion Simulation manufactures motion simulators and will be placing a 4-seat roller coaster simulator at http://www.freedomstationfun.com/ in late August. InMotion's simulators are compatible with NoLimits Coaster and they are looking for new tracks for the customer. To see a sample video of what the result will be check out this video: CLICK ME Contest Guidelines: Must be made using NoLimits Coaster 1. No loops or Corkscrews (nothing over 120 degrees). 2. Steel or Woodie Non Inverted Track Style. 3. Min length of 8,000 feet, Max length 15,000 feet (the longer the better). 4. Launch lift preferred over chain lifts. 5. Speed must reach 90 MPH. 6. Aggressive track style, quick turns from left to right and vice versa. 7. Scenery design and interaction is a must and a main focus of the contest. 8. Use custom scenery, 3D models, bright colors a plus for track and scenery. 9. Scenery must include Freedom Station's logo (http://www.freedomstationfun.com/). Their logo should be on the cars and building where the ride starts. -Link to logos: http://www.freedomstationfun.com/logos.htm 10. Must be fun in an actual motion simulator. 11. All entries are due by August 11, 2008 (winners will be announced within 24 hours). --new edit-- Track Theme: Freedom Station's logo is a train (see their website). It's highly recommended that you use a train theme in the track and car design. For example, the station where the cars depart and arrive should probably resemble a train depot of some type. And the cars should have the customer's logo on it along with a paint scheme that looks like a train. --end new edit-- Prize Money: 1st - $100 USD Each additional track used by InMotion - $50 / track US residents will be sent a check Non-US residents will receive an online gift card of their choice (Note: InMotion will own any track it pays for and can be used commercially)
Rct3man777
So you want us to make a gigantic, extremely fast roller coaster with a train theme...? No offence, just asking.

schrubber
100 Dollar? And each additional track 50? Sorry, it seems like this company looks for cheap videos to use in their simulators. Such a high quality project takes many, many hours to build (my last project "monkey island" took around 20-30). 100 Dollars means 3,33 Dollar per hour, this wouldn`t be enough to pay the current in germany Greetings schrubber
TPDave
If you think of it from another angle, if you enjoy making these things and do them as a hobby, you're getting paid to do something for fun...
Rct3man777
I dont want you do to anything lol...im just quoting what was posted on another site... Oh. So they want us to make a huge, extremely fast coaster with a train theme?
Vekoma Fan Boy
^Where does it say it has to have a train theme? Just because it's going to a train themed place doesn't mean it has to be train themed.
schrubber
If you think of it from another angle, if you enjoy making these things and do them as a hobby, you're getting paid to do something for fun... Of course, but they are going to make money with it. Greetings schrubber
DBru
^So what? For many out there, this is a chance to have great fun trying to create an awesome NL coaster which will make them $100 or $50, which in return gives InMotion Simulation a cheaper video solution than making their own video, and creates publicity for them. It's a win-win situation..
Golfie
I could use $100... too bad I don't have the resources to design quality 3DS scenery. Oh well - thanks for posting the details!
schrubber
Ok, if someone has the time to match all this given criteria for the coaster, then it could be a win win situation. But not for me. It takes decades to build a coaster after these criteria... greetings schrubber
KPWoCkAxX
I saw thison Coastercrazy.com Which was formerly weeweeslap.com. I would gladly give this a go but I don't have No-Limits anymore
