Here you go with another dimension shock. These bottles are not for heating or frying but merely to blow those oceans of beer through that army of polished taps. The supply shown should last one beer hall a weekend or so. That´s the spirit of Octoberfest! Polished taps, wood, ... you should know by now.

This is another Wiesn classic. A must-go. It´s an arena with a spinning disc of polished wood (heh-heh) in the center. Goal is to hold on to the disc foras long as you can, facing various obstacles like swinging medicine balls. Sounds boring? Without all the beer, might even be...

First comes the whole base. Once levelled, they go on from inside out, from bottom to top (of course) and soon no one will be able to tell which way. But they always start with the helix of death part of track.

Digital zoom goodness. Like said, it is a plug and play coaster. Therefore mostly hammerwork high in the sky.

Eurostar crew @ work. Yes, they wash each and every part before erection. Imo a new paint job would do as well...

They feature probably the best roast chicken ("Hendl") you can get there. Might also be wrong, it is always hard to remember precisely...

Yes, it really is such a mess. I could have earned thousands by making all the drawings for it, but wasn´t in the business until eight years later.

For all the Egypt freaks. It is rumored to be full of quicksand and scorpions.

Freefall up and testing. Still slightly askew, but who cares?

The Sensorium. Probably the biggest ripoff on the whole place. 95% of the budget must have gone into the cladding. Inside, a couple of benches to watch random laser beams, breathe artificial fog and listen to way overamplified sound effects. Totally pointless and boring. Not even really dark inside.

The Toboggan. Great to watch drunk people trying to get on and stay on the conveyor belt. A total classic and must-do. Topped of by a slide. Looks a little unsafe and ancient and just is.

Olympia Looping going for a test spin. Today, they tested all the safety devices and brakes. An emergency braking on the upper levels always gives the whole structure a good shaking.

How to erect an Octoberfest ride? Four man handle the tape measure, two watch every move they do so nothing goes wrong, one dashes off quickly to get more beer so nothing goes wrong

Would definitely like to get over there one year for it. That Olympia Looping looks awesome and some what crazy. I bet it would be even crazier after drinking Weissbier all day and night!

HOLY CRAP, I haven't seen that thing in ages!! I can remember this from my childhood at the Dade County Youth Fair in South Florida many moons ago. There weren't any drunks trying it, but even all the sober ones had trouble trying to navigate that belt.....and it always had a HUGE crowd watching and laughing. Man, I miss that carnie classic.
