DBru Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 After about of week of hard work in NL, I bring you: RAMPAGE! This hybrid woodie takes you on a speedy ride through the autumn trees and low, rolling hills. The Gravity Group coaster is 140 feet tall, 2980 feet long! With five 90* banked turns at speeds over 60mph, this 90 second ride will keep you screaming through the entire journey! Rampage looms above... Rampage.nltrack Download and PLEASE COMMENT!!!
King of Ka Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Not bad, but not the greatest. The five 90's seemed excessive, and a lot the transitions were rough and taken too quickly, but I liked the layout. Two things I notice in particular were the first airtime hill and turn/transition to the brake run, both were a bit pumpy. I enjoyed it, but it was too fast, in both the train's speed and the quickness of the transitions.
dr.gumbo Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I'm trying something different this time so bare with me... The Good -Its fun -Its well presented And the not so Good -Its quite pumpy -Its far too short -Its laterals were abismal. My verdict It looks like gold but the trackworks lacking and the fun doesn't last. 6/10
Team Thriller Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 The picture makes the lift look EXTREMLY MASSIVE!. --James
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Ok, well, there were a few things I didn't get to tell you on AIM. One of them was explaining why the first 90* bank is too high. Technically, it could work, IRL, but it would require massive support work, and just wouldn't seem right. Typically, that would be an overbank on a steel coaster. Also, great job managing the wheel hits, the only place they occurred (that I saw) was on the final transition into the brake run. And also, your ride seemed to focus on only 90* banks, which while, are a good compliment, I personally don't think make the coaster. I would have included some more airtime hills and general twisty bits, not just 90* bank, hill, 90* bank, hill, etc. But keep up the good work. I am seeing improvements. PS. Don't forget about the 20' segments!
the ghost Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I really liked it. I jusat got NL and it works now so expect a track soon.
angryemobeaver Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 It was pretty nice, but way to short. I also think that there was too much 90º turns. The ride seemed only about 30 seconds long after the chain lift. I give it 3/5
CCJared Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Could have been better, and just like they said, there should have been less 90* banks. Also you could have tidied up the supports and modified all the ledgers.
