robbalvey
Well, being that Dorney is one of my least favorite parks, can I vote for one of their water slides as my favorite ride there? ' The "Red, White, and Blue" slides are AWESOME!!!! Seriously!!! Other than that...I'd have to go with Laser as my favorite coaster. Steel Force USED to be good when the trims were always off, and before the days of the Intamin hyper came along...now it's only just a 'good' ride IMO. Talon was one of my least favorite B&M inverts, but at least Silver Bullet has knocked Talon up a notch! The Wild Mouse there always seems to run low capacity and I think I've only ridden it once or twice. Thunderhawk is still really good in the front seat, but those trims REALLY kill the ending of the ride. Seriously, this coaster COULD be as good as Phoenix if it wasn't for those trims. It's smooth, it's got good air, and has potential for more...but it just doesn't deliver. And while Hydra looks interesting....I'm not holding my breath after the last two Cedar Fair commissioned B&M's. --Robb "So yeah...not too much positive to say about Dorney." SharkTums
It's a good stopover on the way to other parks! Elissa "I'm with Robb...it's all about Wild Water Kingdom!!!!" Alvey
Meteornotes
Dorney Park = Best Lazy River EVER! Well, of the Lazy Rivers I've been on, anyway. It would only be improved if you could sip frozen drinks while floating around... I grew up in PA, so I've watched this park change over the years. I think I liked it better before CF took it over. Brakes on Thunderhawk and Steel Force really have tamed those rides. The wild mouse is a joke, and Talon is, um, Talon. Laser does kick much ass, though, still one of the most intense coasters out there. I'll judge Hydra when I ride it, but I'll say that I'm not going to be rushing over to the park to get a ride on it right away... dt

cfc
I'd have to go with Steel Force (fairly smooth, with a good Helix of Death), followed by either Talon or Laser (it's a tough call for me there). I liked their log ride quite a bit (especially how it follows the terrain). The next time I visit the place I'll definitely check out the water park--it looked pretty good. I'm with Elissa in that it's a good "stopover" park (nice to visit if you're also going to Knoebels or Hershey).
Ccron10
Hydra is good in a smooth point of way. You get a lot of hang-time in the Jojo Roll. Steel Force is good the bunny hops do produce a touch of airtime. Didn't ride Lazer. Thunderhawk IMO is roughest coaster I've ridden so far and I only rode 9 coasters. The trim on the last few bunny hops ruin the ride. Talon was good, but not really intense. Just a tip. DON'T ride the Monster! You need a cariopractor after you ride it. Hopefully SV will be good addition next year.
Canobie Fan
Talon... Because its the only thing worth riding? Oh and I guess Laser
Little Coaster Girl
I like dorney alot. I think because the staff is pretty fast at loading and unloading, and there is just the right amount of security, not too much, not too little. But i dont agree with some of the people about the coasters, i think some of there coasters are great. I love Steel Force, and always will. And i love talon. I think its the best inverted coaster i have ridden. I agree on the mouse, its got great themeing , but the staff really slow down that ride loading. I also like Hydra. Its best in the back. I personally would rather go to Dorney than six flags great adventure ( if it wasnt for el toro & nitro).
lil jimmy norton
Dominator was pretty fun. I didn't go on anything at the water park. As far as coasters go, Steel Force was fun, but nothing special. I did enjoy Talon as it was my first coaster of the 06 season.
YoshiFan
My 3 favorite rides are Talon, Thunder Creek Mountain and Dominator Blue (Turbo Drop). Thunder Creek Mountain is unlike any other log flume I have ridden with the very long but not steep drop and how it is terrain based. I like Laser but wish they would get rid of the assigned seating. steel
I can't believe no one has said this yet. The Whip is by far the best ride at Dorney Park. Steel Force is fun too, though. I caught a low-trim ride last year and it was sweet. Almost as good as Mamba. Thunderhawk was way more fun for me than people make it out to be. It really isn't all that rough (at least if you're near the front) and the antirollbacks actually make the ride good. Don't get me started on Talon. I pray every night that I just caught it on an off day and that it isn't nearly as horrible as it was both times I rode it. Hydra is fun if you sit in the back row. The front row really does nothing for me on this ride. It's really obvious that your feet aren't about to be ripped off (you're going to slow for something this drastic most of the time anyway) and it's a lot rougher in the front. The back is almost forceful and there's good airtime in a couple places.
