Team Thriller Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Don't worry Steffen. I have Vista and it does speed things up a little bit. The problem is, you'll encounter other problems. Just make sure you get some nice graphics cards to keep the game looking as awesome as your park looks in the update. XP works on my PC thats more powerful than yours! The world doesn't evolve around you buddy and I doubt anyone cares. --James
kraken613 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I was saying I have a powerful PC and XP works on it fine its about the same as his but I have different graphics cards. At least if he got the one he showed me. I dual-boot XP and Vista on mine. If a PC supports Vista it supports XP. Yes beware of the Vista compatibility issues. It took me 3 installs of Vista before it finally worked without problems.
Steffen_Dk Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 It's because of the SATA2 harddisks. XP with sp2 only works at them, and my XP-cd only has sp1 on it. And the graphic card was out of stock, so they upgraded it. Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00GHz 6MB S-775 ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI S-775 4GB DDR2 PC6400 800MHz 1. kraken613 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Similar to mine but I have a 3.2 ghz processor and 2 9800 GX2's and I have my 4 Western Digital 250gb 10,000 rpm Velociraptors.

Steffen_Dk Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 Today I succeeded in installing RCT, and right now, I'm downloading tons of cs. But I still tried to open it to see how the graphic settings were, and they were all at 100 %. That's a miracle
kraken613 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Great to hear! Cant wait to see more of your parks!
Steffen_Dk Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 he construction of the new coaster has been pretty slow, but you can slowly start to see some improvements. ~ Update 13.1 ~ The support- and track work is now completely done. The 90° turn over the water has been upgraded with theming since last time. (I really don't know what the coloured lights are doing there; I'll remove them) It looks like they are going to theme this coaster pretty heavy.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I kinda like the lights, makes it look a bit neat. Good work
Steffen_Dk Posted September 7, 2008 Author Posted September 7, 2008 Thanks for the comments, and I might leave the lights. I'm getting more and more used to them, and now I'm actually liking them. ~ Update 14 ~ More and more work is being done, and I've heard rumors which are talking about a whole new area is to open with the coaster. Could it be this? One of the workers sent me this pic (and the following) I'm pretty sure that this isn't a part of the "Afrika" section Close up coaster shot At the same time this is being constructed.
Steffen_Dk Posted September 7, 2008 Author Posted September 7, 2008 ^Thanks ~ Update 15 ~ The Grand Opening of the coaster! Yemaya, as the coaster is called, is themed into an old African temple for the god of Yemaya, which was overtaken by the colonists and then used as a fortress. Now Yemaya takes revenge by turning her rage on the thrill seeking riders. Yemaya takes her riders up to a height of 25 meters with a incredible speed of 22km/h. Then she suddenly grabs the riders and hold them still for just 1 second, and POW - they are now thrown down to 5 meters below sea level with an angle of 90°. With high speed the riders go through a 90° turnaround, into a vertical loop were the seats spin 180°. Hereafter it goes up and down and into a barrel roll were the seats spin again, but this time 270° - now the passengers are facing FORWARDS! Now it goes up and down and into another barrel roll which makes the guests face backwards again, and after a blazing ride Yemaya gently return to her temple. Right now I only have 4 pics of her, but if you comment, I might do another update with more pics tonight.
DBru Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 AWESOME new coaster! I love how the seats rotate during the loop; that would be an amazing experience!
Steffen_Dk Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 Thanks for the overwhelming amount of comments But anyway. It's finally here; the thing you all have been waiting for: Yemaya POV (download version) (Youtube version)
Steffen_Dk Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 Hmmm; I actually have no idea. The ride is just so weird; I don't know what the trains exactly do ~ Update 16 ~ I promised you more pics of Yemaya, and here they are The new area at night; it's far from finished! Zenit gives you a really great view of Yemaya. Looking down! I know that this has nothing to do with Yemaya, but the shot was just so simple and beautiful that I had to show it. Well back to the coaster. A canon welcomes you into the temple. A special thanks to PredatorEvil for the awesome logo. Byebye..
Steffen_Dk Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 ~ Update 17 ~ I think it's time to see some animals! Okay; this is not animals, but here they come Peace and harmony; just not between the rhino and the hippo Back to the rides. I might upload a POV og "Flugten fra Afrika", if you are interested? And this area has almost been forgotten. Even though the park now offers two family/medium wild coasters, the kiddie "Mariehønen" still attracts many riders.
Steffen_Dk Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 I know, but I've put this park on hold. I'm the kind of person who only concentrates on 1 park; otherwise my creations wont be perfect.
Steffen_Dk Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 ~ Update 18 ~ New ride! The ride OP has got his own control building It still has to be worked on - the lights for example are totally wrong.
TurboWagon Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Awesome, a Twister. Carowinds, My local park has one and it is one of the oldest rides in the park. They are great!
BelgianGuy Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 I've just looked at the thread and I'm blown away to be honest. Can I ask how you put those trains on the other rides?
DBru Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Glad to see an update! I was missing this park... Still looking great!
Thelegendarymatthew Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 ^A very risky hack Looking great, I love how TPR has those very great RCT3 Park. -Matt
