niiicolaaah Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 So the last time we went back up to Buffalo, we drove thru the Finger Lakes region and I thought by the edge of one of those lakes would be a cool place for an amusement park. I have no add-on packs or custom scenery, so it's all going to be pretty basic for now. Once I get the hang of RCT3 I can start making crazy parks with 700 coasters. My favorite part of the ride is when you drive on top of the roof. That's it for now!! Airtime here? HEeeeeeeelixxxx The water looks nice! Too bad the beach isn't open. Here's an overview of the layout. There's the helix! Big Dipper is the park's classic woodie. There's a scrambler in there! And a coaster in the background!! Heading down the big drop! Not much better over here. The scenery is a bit cheesy, I know. Let's head over to the park's log flume, Adventure Falls. There's the park's newest ride, Rockin' Tug. It looks like more people want to watch than ride today. The mini-helicopters ride offers a nice view of the park. You can see the log flume in the distance. I think I'll pass on eating here. I rode the teacups with this random chick and I swear she was hitting on me. Look at how crowded that food court is! From the top of the lift you can see the vast nothingness that is the park so far. There's a cute kiddy coaster in the middle of it, and I can't remember what it's called! The park for now is mostly a kiddy area, with many rides the whole family can enjoy. Welcome to Seneca Lake Park.
Pufferfish Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Welcome to RCT3 Nicole! The park looks really good for it not having any CS, and that is rare to find. Can't wait to see what you make out of this, it has a lot of potential.
JKLer Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Looks pretty. I like that small town look. Very good start for what I'm sure will be a thriving park. If I were you, I would probably keep it "little", and not add any large structures such as 100mph coasters, or something.
DBru Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Welcome to the world of RCT! Your park has lots of potential, keep it up!
amusing_parks Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 whoaa best game ever. Looks nice for first time!
Moose Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Congrats on finally getting RCT3. Â Looks like a nice little park. Having lived in the Finger Lakes Region i must admit I share your love of the area. Absolutely gorges.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Looks good Nicole, its a fun little park. Any update on it?
Team Thriller Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I like the looks of the wooden coaster. Great job. Â --James
niiicolaaah Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 Thanks for the comments guys! I've been really busy studying lately, I haven't had much time to work on the park... I will post an update of what's new later tonight.
coasterdude5 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 It looks great, Nicole, especially for no custom scenery! That can be a difficult task but you've managed to pull it off!
niiicolaaah Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 Just like a real park, the evolution of Seneca Lake Park has been reeeeeally slow. Here's what's been added since the first update! Â Any suggestions on what I should add next? Here is an overview of the park's layout so far! It has a pirate ship and a couple boat rides, as well as some food stands. A mini boardwalk area has also been built out over the beach. Also in an effort to spread out guests, the park has added some flat rides out near Big Dipper, such as the Phoenix condor. The park also has a new railroad. I guess they were tired of everybody congregating in the kiddy area, and wanted to spread out the guests a bit. Right next to that is the park's new restaurant, Seneca Lake Brewing Company. This could really use some CS sprucing up. I better learn how to install custom scenery! Here's one of the skyride stations. There's a new food court over by Adventure Falls to help relieve the congestion of the one in the kiddy area... there's a new chairlift too!
coasterdude5 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I think a Premier "spaghetti bowl" would look great in this park.
coasterguy99 Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I like this park. But all parks need an Arrow Looper
