pagemaster_b Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 This thread needs to die. Now. I am truly irked by some of the juvenile thoughtlessness of some of the posted comments. If you can't post anything positive about an amusement park in Iraq, then don't bother posting. And please confine your political comments to the appropriate threads.
ParkTrips Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 ^ I totally agree that the political discussion has NO place in this thread, but people are entitled to not support the park just the same as people are allowed to support it.
ginzo Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 don't believe everything in the news or everything you read, you haven't been there to see for yourself so you just don't know. This is very true, but by your own suggestion we shouldn't really believe you either.
coasterbill Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 This thread needs to die. Now. I am truly irked by some of the juvenile thoughtlessness of some of the posted comments. If you can't post anything positive about an amusement park in Iraq, then don't bother posting. And please confine your political comments to the appropriate threads. First of all you are being extremely naive to think that political beliefs should not go in to the decision to build a theme park in Iraq, and second of all why do people need to make positive posts about something that they don't feel positive about?
pagemaster_b Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Ug, this is exactly why I scored low in debate. If you can't post anything positive about an amusement park in Iraq, then don't bother posting. I was deliberately thinking of some of the tasteless jokes/comments about IEDs and suicide bombers as well as the political garbage, and that's what I intended "anything positive" to mean. Extremely poor choice of words did not reflect my intent or meaning.
Drop-Out Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 does everyone realize that this "Massive" theme park is being built with less money than DCA was built on? That sure is massive.
Airtime&Gravity Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 ^Umm, that's because that was a DISNEY park. Hard Rock Park is a large park, and it was built for under $300 million. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was built for around $250 million. As for this project, it's a step in rebuilding, and although I doubt it will get built, it would be nice if it does.
