DBru Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I know a lot of these have popped up lately, but my catalog will be somewhat different. Mine will be strictly for RCT2 (such as The Ghost's), but its main focus will be on recreations. Many people try to recreate parks, and need all the help they can get, so I will try my best. The shown rides are only the ones I have already made, but I will create any ride at your request. Please note: recreations are not EXACT. The layouts are my main focus, followed by stats, and scenery can be added by request. Though my emphasis is on recreations, I will also make custom coasters. Woodies are my specialty, but I can design a pretty mean steel coaster, too. The catalog will be split up into 4 sections. -Wooden recreations -Steel recreations -Custom Wood -Custom Steel If you order a coaster, I will make sure that you are the only one to acquire it for a period of time, so that your attraction will be unique. I will be updating the catalog frequently, so make sure to check back often! Wooden Recreations The Legend [Holiday World]: First drop. Overview. The Legend.TD6 The Raven [Holiday World]: Overview. The Raven.TD6 Thunder Run [sFKK]: Overview. Thunder Run's layout is slightly altered to raise the excitement rating, but is still pretty accurate (IMO) *UPDATE: Surrounding scenery added/improved Thunder Run.TD6 Steel Recreations Maverick [Cedar Point] Overview. (will not include geographical features) *Please note: I have kept Maverick as a B&M Steel Looping Coaster, it can be changed with 8cars per trainer, but I left it this way for people who don't have it... Maverick.TD6 Vekoma Rollerskater Overview. This particular model is based on SFKK's Rollerskater, so it's the standard model... *Geographical features not included. Roller Skater.TD6 Vortex (Kings Island) Overview of the EVIL Arrow Multilooper... *UPDATE: Station/queue updated Vortex.TD6 Poltergeist (SFFT) Overview. *I honestly have no idea what Poltergeist's station or queue looks like because I've never been to SFFT. This coaster was originally a Flight of Fear recreation, but it had to many scenery pieces, so I couldn't save it. As a result, I removed the building, changes the colors, and built this station and queue to create Poltergeist. Poltergeist.TD6 Custom Wood Cedar Chase [wooden twister] Overview. Cedar Chase.TD6 Airborne [wooden out-&-back] Overview. Airborne was my entry into the "Masters of RCT2 Challenge" contest. It finished in 2nd place... Airborn.TD6 Custom Steel Flight of Fright [b&M Flyer] Close up of first drop and pretzel loop. Overview of Flight of Fright. There are some pretty high positive g's, but I'd like to blame those on the pretzel loop. Are they this high in reality? Flight of Fright.TD6 Let me know (pm me) if you are interested in my services, and I will email you the download to an existing model, or design a new model to fit your needs. Thanks! *PLEASE READ DOWNLOAD INFORMATION: A new feature I am adding to the catalog is the public download to every coaster. I have recently updated the catalog so that each individual download is located under it's coaster information. Thank you, ridehost.com! Enjoy!
Hand 0f Time Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Raven and Legend look really great. Cedar Chase seems decent, but I would definitly say that pink building ruined it, lol. And Maverick needs alot of work still. I would like to download those Holiday World Wooden Coasters you've made. Whenver they come up.
DBru Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 ^Would you like me to send you the download to Raven and Legend?
Hand 0f Time Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 If you add download buttons to your current rides, that'll be fine. So that everyone can enjoy them.
DBru Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Well, that's what I want to do, but how can I post the downloads for each coaster individually? I can make a download section, but I'd like to put each coaster's download in the section with the coaster. Help?
DBru Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Sorry to double post, but I'd like to draw your attention back to the catalog. I have added a custom flyer and a Vekoma Rollerskater recreation! Please leave comments and suggestions!
DBru Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 A recreation of Vortex at Kings Island has been added to the Steel Recreation section of the catalog. Will someone please inform me how to add downloads without using the TPR uploader (so that I can put each download with its coaster)???
GriffyTiffy Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 ^ At the bottom of the page, there is a file uploader (the same place as for pictures) and you just browse until you find it!
DBru Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 Yes, I know that. I want to put each download with its own coaster in the catalog, though. Does anyone know how to do that? Comments on the coasters would also be nice
BRTeller Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Vortex is ok, but I love what you did with maverick. Everyone thinks of making it like 150 feet, and little loops and twists. But in all reality the coaster isn't very high at all. I love how you incorporated all the element realistically. Probably one of the more accurate recreations I've seen, or best, track wise.
coasterguy99 Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Vortex (Kings Island) Overview of the EVIL Arrow Multilooper... I've never been to Ohio but from the videos I've seen that looks really good. And I must disagree with "EVIL Arrow Multilooper", I love Arrow rides and that one looks like it would be very fun.
DBru Posted April 7, 2008 Author Posted April 7, 2008 Thanks! Everyone check the catalog! Thunder Run, as well as ALL THE DOWNLOADS have been added!
thrillrideseeker Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Ok... Ok... I will comment!! So I don't have RCT1 but I would so download these if I did. So all of my comments are going to be based on the pictures... So here I go... Wooden Recreations - The Legend, and The Raven both look really really good I would give them both a 10/10! - Thunder run looks kind of BLAH... I mean there are no trees or anything so it looks bare I give it a 7/10 because of the lack of scenery. Steel Recreations - Maverick looks amazing! I defiantly give it a 10/10! Good job with the fountains as well as the layout! - Vekoma Rollerskater looks really good! Usually I do not see very good kiddie coasters but this one is great! I love the station! 10/10 for sure! - Vortex. It is again great! I must disagree though. I have been on Vortex and I do not think it is EVIL! I actually enjoy the ride! 8/10 Just because I think you could have done more with the que line. Custom Wood - Cedar Chase looks freaking amazing! I do not know how to describe this ride. It has an amazing twisted layout! I love the big pink building too! Thats Hott! Great job placing the trees 10/10! Custom Steel - Flight of Fright looks good! I never can seem to get down a good layout for a flyer but obviously you can! Lucky you! You said "Are they this high in reality?" YES! I don't know if you have ever been on Tatsu but that ride is very freaking intense. It gets to the point that it gets hard to hold your hands up! I give your flying coaster a 10/10 as well! All in all you did very well with your coasters! You defiantly are a very good coaster builder! Keep up the amazing work! I can not wait to see your coasters in the future! ~Matthew
DBru Posted April 9, 2008 Author Posted April 9, 2008 ^Thank you SO much! That is EXACTLY the type of feedback I was looking for! This way, I know what coasters I need to go back and fix to make better. I will find an overview of Thunder Run and do my best to make it seem more realistic (scenery wise), and I'll do the same for Vortex's station and queue. Oh, and this is RCT2, BTW
thrillrideseeker Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 RCT1, and RCT2 both look the same to me! All I play is NL and RCT3 anyways!! I can not wait to see the improved rides! Good luck! ~Matthew
vedved82491 Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 They're pretty good designs. I think the woodies are the best. It's actually quite hard to make a decent layout. Many people are too quick to assume any of their creations are immediate masterpieces, when in reality it takes quite a bit of practice.
DBru Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Okay, after not updating the catalog for a while, I've brought you lots of new stuff! I've added Poltergeist (SFFT), Airborne (a custom wooden coaster) and I've updated Thunder Run and Vortex! Let me know what you all think of the new additions!
the ghost Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I really still love airborne. All of your coasters are pretty awesome. I better get back to my catalog. Maybe I will update it. It has been so long though. Is IA over because I really really really really really really really really really really really hope not
DBru Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Thanks! And SFIA has not been canceled. In fact, look for an update within the next 5 minutes!
DBru Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 Hey guys! I have just updated the catalog! For your convenience, I have added individual downloads under each coaster, so you no longer have to search for them! Please comment. If I received more feedback, I'd post more coasters...
Guest Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 hi, my son would love to download these coasters but the links are broke - anyway we can get them? Thanks!
DBru Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 Sadly, most of them cannot be retrieved...it's really disappointing that ridehost.com went offline. Are there any particular coasters he is interested in downloading? I'd be happy to make even better versions of those rides. I need to start this thread up again, anyway. Thanks for showing interest!
Guest Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Ahhhh that's too bad! I think my son would like any you have created. He is 10 and really into coasters - he's been making his own for years too.
