If you all plan on going to CGA, you have to visit me! I'm working at Invertigo, Berserker (a Bayern Curve), and Whitewater Falls. This is going to be a great season.

BTW, If you're interested about info about Firefall, I went to CGA last week for park orientation, and Firefall was still sitting in the parking lot. But training on the ride is supposed to happen tomorrow, so it's probably up by now. How long does it take to build a Top Spin anyway?

It depends if it is a portable model or not, I'm sure the platform boarding area fountains etc have already been completed and its just a matter of setting the ride up at this point. But im sure portable or not it is something that could go up in a single day with a good crew

^You also got a pass?

Yeah, I actually got myself and my lady the Plat passes for the holidays. I visited Knotts about 4 times last year, so it made it totally worth it.

^ I smell a TPR meet up's at CGA this year!

I'm in. I go at least 6-7 times a year.

Awesome! I used to go on my lunches at work all the time and get some rides on Top Gun. I'm totally down to have some meet ups this year!

Sounds good to me, I always try to get a ride or two on Invertigo whenever I visit. Whats your favorite seat?

Oh, and days I'll be most likely visiting would be Sunday afternoons (after I get off work at 12:00) that's like my only free time. I'll be sure to hit up Invertigo, Berserker, and/or White Water Falls.

I like the end facing forwards on the first hill because you experience some major positive g's being pulled through the loop and cobra roll backwards on the return. Plus on the lift, it gives that hanging kind of feeling.

Also my favorite way to ride. My new job is pretty demanding so I doubt I'll be able to go on lunches anymore, but that last hour and a half of daily operation is always awesome for short to no lines.

I find the other end to be better due to the fact that it slamms into the loop on the return trip

I agree with you. I don't see why people have beefs about Invertigo. I think instead of rough, it's more mean and agressive. It's probably the most intense ride in the park.

During the later years of MW in Redwood City watersides were installed, anyone remember those?

And for retro GA, I remember all that stuff. I visited there many times in the late 70s early 80s and remember all those rides.... Bottoms Up, Yankee Clipper, The Lobster, to name a few and of course the train, Tidal Wave, Turn of the Century, and Willard's Whizzer....... great times. And even the dolphin show! I remember as a kid riding in the car from Fremont, going down highway 880 you could see the Sky Tower and Triple Wheel from the freeway.... it was awesome seeing it from miles away.

Wow, what awesome pictures! I remember both of those places as a kid. It was an awesome time growing up with Marriott's Great America! I do miss Tidal Wave most of all. As for the Bees, they still have them! Although, now they are ghosts.
