Steffen_Dk Posted October 6, 2008 Author Posted October 6, 2008 KPWoCkAxX: That's what I want to hear; someone who's looking forward instead of being too sad about Werwolf leaving Thelegendarymatthew: Yes; I've thought about making a preliminary download after this new thing is finished.. And there I'll make a cs-list (Don't expect a abnormally long list) I just thought I wanted to show you this little teaser of the construction project:
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I'm not one who tends to dwell on the past; that logo looks freaking awesome! I'm really excited about what's coming next!
Steffen_Dk Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 ^Thanks; I'm actually also quite pleased with it myself... A little more to think about
jason10 Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Oh my god! It's a giga-coaster!? Am I right? The logo is great and so is the rest of the park. I cannot wait to see the layout and the confirmation of the coaster!
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Yup, That's Giga track alright. But then again, it may be a modified ride with custom cars so it looks like an intamin. Because the Giga track can be used for it's certain elements. Oh, and steffen, You're welcome. You should be pleased.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 I think I see some arrow track in there. Can't wait to see the coaster.
Steffen_Dk Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 jason10: Call it a mega lite launched coaster KPWoCkAxX: No, this coaster will not be modified. It's just as RCT gives you. Thelegendarymatthew: No you can't The only construction picture that you'll get
dr.gumbo Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 This may sound like a broken record player but: Looking good!
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 ^ As far as I can tell, the coaster goes nowhere near any bodies of water....... Looks great! Awesome support work! Looking forward to the next update!
Steffen_Dk Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Press releaseThe park's biggest investment ever, will be available to park guests in the upcoming summer season. We will spend almost 8,500,000 Euro on the roller coaster and the theming. The ride will be named Wikinger; Der Herrscher des Nordens, and will be manufactored by the reputable ingeneering company, Intamin AG - that guarentees a high class and high safety roller coaster. Wikinger; Der Herrscher des Nordens brings new technology into the park. Instead of the well know chain lift hill, it'll feature a new form of "lift", namely the very popular launching technology which speeds the train up to 90km/h in just 2.5 seconds. In addition to that Wikinger; Der Herrscher des Nordens will be the owner of a whole new introduced element called Snake-tophat. Unlike normal tophats, the Snake-tophat will send the train in the same direction the train had when entering the tophat. Stats: Amusement park : Flussgärten Familienpark Classification : Roller Coaster Type : Steel - Sit Down Make/model : Intamin AG / Accelerator Coaster Designer : Ingenieur Büro Stengel GmbH Lift/Launched system: Hydraulic Launch Length : 779 meters Height : 25 meters Inversions : 0 Speed : 90km/h Duration : 0:47 Max. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows for a total of 12 riders pr. train. Cost : 8,500,000 Euro Etymology : Wikinger; Der Herrscher des Nordens is German for Viking; the Ruler of the North
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 You appear to have posted the same picture twice. But anyway that looks bloody brilliant! I love the lighting you have used and those supports look amazing! Going under the water spouts would be a great sensation too! Well done Steffen, Well done!
Steffen_Dk Posted October 10, 2008 Author Posted October 10, 2008 Thanks for noticing the picture problem, however, I you want to see the real shot, you have to go over at Atari. And I'm glad that you like the coaster and the settings.. Update 41 Just more pictures showing Wikinger; Der Herrscher des Nordens A little shop has popped up. I guess you can call this a soft opening I was hoping that I could have made a layout overview in a white environment, however, I couldn't figure out how to do it (if someone knows how, please PM me) (Before the little shop was build) It opens up the whole land which was surrounding the station of Werwolf. That means: A lot more opportunities! The dominating loop isn't taking the attention from the little square any more. Soon I'll post a little "commercial video" of Wikinger; Der Herrscher des Nordens!
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 You're welcome. Looks flippin' brilliant! I really like this coaster, You're great at taking screenshots!
DBru Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 It's just one impressive update after another! lol But seriously, this looks like a great accelerator with a fun layout and awesome themeing. Nice work!
