Poll: Favorite Style of B+M Drop

I revamped the poll, consolidated the options, and added vertical drops.

It really depends on the design of the coaster, but I like the ones with a pre-drop then a twisted drop slightly more than those with a straight drop. Now coasters like Nitro and Raging Bull have better drops due to their heights, but twisted drops are just more intense enjoyable.

 

Did that make sense?

I like the straight, not turning/twisting drops better. They seem to produce alot more air; save the twisting drops for the end of the ride.

 

But straight down is the best of all.

My personal favorite kind is the vertical drops like on Griffon. With the straight, no pre-drop (Nitro, Hydra) right behind.

I am a fan of twisted drops like Alpengeist's though.

Straight w/o predrop purely for the airtime, Like nitro right off the lfit your in floater heaven...you don't get that with twisting.

I like that signature pre-drop. It's almost like tantric you-know-what...one shallow, one deep. Am I allowed to talk like that on here? I think I love B&M a little too much!

I like twisting/swooping drops better than any other. Right behind comes straight drops like Medusa West.

Hydra's got some some back seat "ROFLAIRTIME" over the first first drop.

I Personally like the pre-drop. Like other people have mentioned, I love the sense of tension it gives. It really adds to the experience of the ride for me.

Vertical is my first choice as it produces great amounts of airtime! If only the could work out how to make the train stop on the vertical (so both rows/all three rows are facing down).

 

After, it would have to be a turn like Nemesis or Nemesis Inferno. Nemesis because it turns around and you get a great view of pretty much everything before the true ride starts, and N:I because you get an extensive view of the entire park before being whipped round a massive turn into the loop...

I selected both predrop straight and curved. (Thankyou for giving an indecisive gemini the chance to NOT make the decision). The speed going over the top of the drop gave it a great feeling for the whole train.

 

I still liked these "elements" better on the Spanish coasters, though I'm not sure why. Perhaps it was the company?

Based on the B&Ms I've ridden, I voted for the pre-drop straight drop and the straight drop without the pre-drop. I love the pre-drop curves as well, but the first two I like better for their crazy air-time in the back row. Plus its just more exhilarating.
