Top Thrill Dragster Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Great Pictures!! I cant get over on how layered that park is. Parks in the US that are land locked need to look at Blackpool.
martynlfc Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 Thanks!! Yeah it is one mindblowing park. Its why i go so much the rides being so close are what give it such an atmosphere and i love it. Infusion is awesome the Pleasure Beach are experts at making use of what space they have but they have done the best they possibly could with an standard slc and the end result is amazing! It was great Saturday and quite rough on Sunday but it depends were you sit in the train. Front and back are smoothest. Oh and if the wind is blowing, you get soaked!
verticalzero Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 How did you get into the "Scrapyard" to photo yourself on the old "Nash" or "Cyclone" trains..? Wonder if BPB want to see them... I thought it would of been fenced off and padlocked. Did you go on the "Wild Mouse"..? Best ride in the Park. Were the turtles still sunbathing and chasing each other on the grass.!!

Hi those trains are actually in the car park so anyone can walk on and take a look. And the other Scrapyard pics were taken from the monorail. Normally i do the Mouse but gave it a miss Saturday. It was funny the Sunday there was a big incident involving an evac and car stoppage on the Mouse as one of the cars hit a pidgeon! Some ride op had to go up with a bin bag, there was quite a crowd watching to. And yeah the turtles are still there
almightyfire Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 This seems to be the most non themed park I have ever seen. It looks like an overcrowded junkyard. That INFUSION ride is just a clone of Serial Thriller from Six Flags parks.
Nrthwnd Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I miss Blackpool. Thanks for sharing your day there. Some great shots. I liked that one with the 'nose' and the loop so .... close, lol.
EagleFan344 Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Infusion definitely looks like the best SLC operating today.
verticalzero Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I hope the "Wild Mouse" car was ok after hitting a pigeon. You don't want a car to de-rail when it's heading for the last dip and the 2 90 degree corners. Is the ride any smoother this season or is it still "brutal"..? I do miss the park and hopefully the Turtles will be staying for a while.

Ksm at Southport its sister Mouse was the roughest one though.
verticalzero Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 KSM at Southport is being "dismantled" and moving to Margate next to the Scenic Railway ready to open for next season.
RollercoasterTigger Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I use to really like Blackpool but I haven't been for 2-3yrs now!
