thrillrideseeker Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Ok so Tony came down and we decided to go to Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's MGM Studios, and Islands Of Adventures! Sadly we did not take the camera to Animal Kingdom, but we did to MGM and IOA!! So now with the TR! We went to Disney's MGM Studios and Rockin' Roller Coaster was open after like 2 weeks of being closed! The wait was about 90 minutes so we only rode it once but when we did ride it we were in the very front row! Then we went over to Tower Of Terror! The wait was about 30 minutes so we rode it 3 times!! The next day we went to Islands Of Adventures! It was so amazing! The first ride of the day was Hulk with a wait time of 30 minutes! After Hulk we headed over to Dueling Dragons! It started raining when we had made it like half way across the park. After a 20 minute wait we rode Dueling Dragons Fire in the very front row in the rain. That was the most stupid idea we have ever had. The rain felt like marbles hitting your face. After riding Fire in the Front we rode Ice in the back. We went back to fire 2 more times, and we went back to Ice 2 more times as well! After Dueling Dragons we headed over to Jurassic Park! The ride was amazing, but we did not get very wet. After that we headed home because the park was closing and we were cold and wet! Anyways... enough of the talk and now to the photos! I hope you guys enjoy!! ~Matthew Meh... they did not look like they were worth the 30 minute wait. There really is a train in the mist. You just can not see it. I have no idea what part of the ride this is or how I got the picture but I think it is pretty! We did not have to wait an extra 30 minutes and we were still close to the front! Random Sign! YAY! Vertical Loop! Have you ever seen this shot before? There were like a million people in line for the Hulk. Yeah we did not feel like waiting 30 extra minutes for the front row. ...and this picture? Can you tell the differance in this picture... We are really really close now! Wouldnt you know. After I moved from under the track a train launched. Vertical Loop! Such a pretty setting for a roller coaster! I liked standing under the track! But I got bored and did not feel like waiting for a train to launch to get a picture! Ok we were getting closer, but then I stoped to take a bunch of pictures! We are almost there! YAY! We are here! I still do not know what this thing is. We are getting closer! The first picture of the first ride of the day! OMG! We are so getting close! We had to take a picture so we knew where we parked! Ok... we did not have to take a picture but I wanted to! YAY! Next up was Islands Of Adventure! Then there is this little swirly thing. This is what happens if you take a picture a second late on Tower Of Terror! Then we went up to the top and there was this view! The doors open! YAY! We are rolling out to the drop! “This as you may recognize is a maintenance service elevator still in operation today… waiting for you!” I am really thinking this counts as a hidden mickey. I think it is really a pretty ride! The next ride of the day was Tower Of Terror! Yeah there are really not very many things to take pictures of for Rockin' Roller Coaster. The first ride of the day! Rockin' Roller Coaster! Do all of these things count as Hidden Mickeys? We are at Disney's MGM Studios incase you might have forgot! YAY! Its the Walt Disney World Resort sign.
bulldogmom Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Nice pics, especially of Hulk. It looks like a great coaster- even the loading area is neatly themed.
missingmusician Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 What day were you guys at IOA? Mike and I were there Tuesday.
DATman Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 That thing is a lighthouse. Glad to see you had a lot of fun!
cfc Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Juxtaposition of the phallic-shaped lighthouse and "The Adventure Begins" sign--hmm . . . I believe it symbolizes the onset of puberty, where the adventure truly begins.
cobra_roll06 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Hey, Those pics of the Hulk are awesome! Really brings back some memories!!!
PKIVortex Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Oh that pic of that line for The Hulk, made me glad I visited in February. I had complete walk on rides for The Hulk. Yay!
Swoosh Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 No photos of the progress on Midway Mania at MGM Studios? What were you thinking?
thrillrideseeker Posted June 30, 2007 Author Posted June 30, 2007 Hey guys thanks for all the comments! OH and like I said... I have the rest of the photos! I hope you guys enjoy and let me know what you think! ~Matthew What trip report would be complete without this picture? Yeah. When you are on this ride you are much closer to that wall than what it shows in this picture. See? I was always like one second to late taking the picture. I loved this part of the ride!! Did I say that it rained all day? OMG. Do you know how long it took me to get this shot? I tried like a million times and was always to early or to late. First up was Fire!! Pretty! Next up was Dueling Dragons! Oh and for your benifit. It is not smart to ride in the front in the rain. HEAVY rain... The fun little drop is in there! Acutally you do not get very wet. And then there was Jurassic Park. Which we skipped so Tony would not get his hair wet. Yeah... after Dueling Dragons in the rain he decided we could ride it! Yeah... these people got soaked. Yeah... there was this ride but we did not ride it because Tony did not want to get his hair wet... yeah... that soon changed.
