I saw Transformers last night and have to say it was by far the best movie of the summer, and also very possibly one of the most entertaining movies I have ever seen. Honest.

Having said that it’s not perfect, but the movie is fun, has great humor, and beautiful action with amazing effects that will blow you away. And yes that chick is smoking hot!!!!!!!! The humor is witty and quick, and who cares if it’s not the same as the old cartoon. This movie is fun.

All in all for its short comings the movie makes up for the faults and then some. I can also say this is the first time I have been in a movie where the whole audience actually applauded about 8 times during the movie.

The FX is so good, honest to god you completely forget the robots are FX objects and take them as being real. You really feel the robots emotions oddly.

See it. This movie blows….. sh!t up.

PS: The dude that did Megatron’s voice really was not bad at all.

Saw Rattatouille sat night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very deep, intelligent movie from Brad Bird (Incredibles). Evan Almighty I enjoyed even if it was a bit heavy handed. Transformers I'm seeing tomorrow and I don't know quite what to expect despite the majority favorable reviews that have been pouring in.

"Ratatouille," incredibly, rivals Toy Story as the best Pixar movie of all time (I almost said "best animated film," but then I remembered Studio Ghibli, lol). It is the best movie of the summer by far. I cannot wait to see it again.

I also saw "1408," wich was a lot better than I expected. Very creepy and Stephen King-y

BTW, I wouldn't call "License to Wed" a "chick" flick. I would call it a "Robin Williams making an idiot of himself... again" flick.

I'm longing to see Evan Almighty, 'cause of Steve Carell. His best scene in Bruce Almighty was the "DooDooCaCa" scene where Bruce possesses Evan into saying funny gibberish.

I might look into seeing Transformers, I hear Josh Duhamel and Shia LaBeouf have some good roles in it.

I was pleasantly surprised by Transformers. Sure, it was big Bay and pretty much his version of Independence Day, and there was a little too much humor in it, especially for its rating of PG-13. But the action and robots were pretty awesome, even if they didn't all resemble the Transformers I grew up with. Plus Megan Fox was F-I-N-E fine!

Did anybody notice that Megatron was Hugo Weaving?

I just saw it after I got back from camp, I must say it was right up there with Ratatouille as the best movie of the summer.

BTW, does anybody know what movie that review was where the Statue of Liberty head fell onto the street and people where screaming "oh my god!" all the time?

I think after seeing Transformers (we got it earlier than you suckers in Australia.. SUCKERS! =P ) i will have to buy myself a HD-DVD and 106inch LCD screen.

A high def projector would be just as good.
