drewelap
Since I am moving to Orlando Florida (hells yeah!) in September, this summer i am pretty much going to all the near-by theme parks/amusement parks. P.s. I'm moving to Florida to go to Full Sail University so i can become a director and make kick-ass movies that don't suck! First up is Hersheypark! Yay! Since we went on a Wednesday (May 30th), the park was not too crowded. Of course there were the expected school kids (my god how many schools have to go to one park at the same time?). Anyways, It was still a fun day, we got on EVERYTHING except a few minor rides. Let's start it off! Booyaa! Oh P.s I kind of uploaded the pictures in the wrong order. I would redue it but there are so many pictures! Just go to the bottom and scroll up i guess :/ Hershey school! You can kinda see the "Welcome to Hershey" on the grass in front of it Uh oh....school bus Luckily the park didn't open yet. The lines to get in wern't too bad. Lots of people my age though. You can kinda see a walking reese's cup in the distance Jen. Jason, and Chris. Usually i bring atleast seven of my friends to parks, but this time most of them couldnt Me on the left and my biotch Jen on the right. Bff! 100 years of making kids fat. However with all the STEEP hills and stairs, we easily burned off anything we ate Waiting to buy tickets and enter the park of sweetness and wonder. I really hate waiting in lines. I am such a prick when it comes to waiting in lines Jason and Jen walkin towards Great Bear. The line was HUGE during the middle of the day. We rode it later in the day when there was (i swear to god) no line. We rode in the front (first for me) and i had an orgasm too Great Bear lookin all seductive off in the distance. Short lift, big drop Coal Cracker is a wierd flume ride. Half the ride the boat doesn't even float, it kinda rolls down the flume. The little speed bump at the bottom of the final drop is pretty cool though Great Bear and SooperDooperLooper entangled in a passionate affair Enjoy your lame ending! Eating at the Kraftbarn Kitchen in Founder's Circle. Jen is inhailing a sandwhich. Jason being a bad ass romantic. Contradictory? I think not Chris trying to seduce me with food. It's like an orgy of thrilling wonder Jen, Jason, and Chris walking toward the COMET old school coaster. No line! Old school breaking on the COMET. I was pretty scared to go on this. After all, the lift hill is askew and i was barley in my seat the whole ride! Sidewinder aka Vekoma's minor concusion ride. Everytime i ride this i blackout on the loop going backwards. (i always sit in the very back) I don't know why, I'm pretty stupid. Surprisingly i didn't black out this time. Could be becuase there were only ten people on the ride... Storm Runner is a quick ride but it's worth it. Phallic images mmmmm The wild mouse of doom. This is the fastest, most out of control wild mouse i have EVER been on. They don't break until the very end! The once entrance to TIDAL FORCE. Now you enter near Canyon River Rapids. This area still leads to the queue building, but now its just for show. Todal Force is a kick ass ride. You go up, you turn, you drop 100 feet, and you make a HUGE splash. We didn't get to ride this since the line was packed in the queue house. I've never seen that before! The New Boardwalk! Memorabilia from Ocean City, Wildwood, and Coney Island are scattered all throughout this place. Sandcastle cove or something for the young kids Looking down the Boardwalk toward Roller Soaker aka lame ride with hour wait. NATHAN'S HOT DOGS! East Coast Waterworks aka the largest freakin waterplay structure in the United States. Right now Texas is pissed. This fortress has TWO dump buckets. The larger one dumps so much water at such a great force that when i was underneath it, my trunks nearly ripped off my body! We only went on the toilet bowl slide which kicked major ass. Too bad i was blinded by the surging water half the ride. Ferris Wheel offers a great view of the new area Water slide goodness. random people going under a waterfall on Canyon River Rapids. One of the best rapids rides out there (Popeye's Bilge-rat Barges is still # 1) Canyon River Rapids gives everyone a happy ending (in more than one way) This area is nothing but water rides now. Canyon Rapids, Tidal Force, and ride that has too long of a wait for such a lame ride (roller soaker) Am I in Disney World? Where am I? mmm skin cancery goodness at Taco Bell Chris was so hungry he didn't even bother looking Jason's face after seeing my danger zone I dont know what kinda look this is...I look high or something; must be the magic tacos! larrygator
The Boardwalk area really does look great, even better in person than in pictures. The Wild Mouse thanks you for the shout out, truly the wildest and best non-spinning mouse.
drewelap
the ride was insane! After we got up the lift hill I realized that the tracks looked kinda rusty on the turns so that kinda freaked me out. Then we kept going faster, and faster, and faster, and i kept slamming into Jason like he was my own airbag lol It was fun though lol
Skramp
Nice TR, always wanted to go to HersheyPark. On a side note, good thing you're going to be a director and not a writer, because dang, that grammar!! Hurts my eyes trying to read it.
TexTitan01
Nice TR. I was wanting to get out to see what the Boardwalk was like, now I know. I've always loved those nostaglic-type parks, make me feel more relaxed. I had that same problem with uploading photos in the proper order for my SFA report, the directions for how to upload are kind of confusing, I think... oh, and ..psst...its the Hershey Hotel...not Hershey School... Thanks for giving an insight into the boardwalk!

Thanks for giving an insight into the boardwalk! That thing is the Hershey High School, not Hershey School or Hershey Hotel. The Hershey Hotel is in the upper right corner of the picture. Great TR and I'm looking forward to going in August!
pianojohn
RE: I really hate waiting in lines. I am such a prick when it comes to waiting in lines Well, I suggest you stay out of the Florida parks during Halloween, Christmas, Spring Break, and Summer! Just a suggestion from an Orlando-an (but not an Orlando native...no such thing!!) Enjoy Full Sail!
haiderodes
^^^^^^^ You're danger zone? WOW, if that is what I think it is, I haven't heard someone say that in so long. That had me laughing so hard! Cool pictures, I need to get out to Hershey one of these days. Good luck in Florida!
drewelap
Trust me, that picture is of the Hershey School lol. Oh yeah if any of you are planning to go to Hersheypark, I suggest that you all head straight for the Boardwalk becuase we had problems finding lockers and everything. Plus there are barely any lounge chairs to sit on, and the line for the slides was horendous (i think thats spelled wrong).

adc9787
I just got back from Hersheypark and I thought that the park was really awesome. Has anyone been there on a day when they are blocking off multiple rows on rides for no reason other than the fact that there are fery few people in line. On Ligntning Racer and Wildcat, the middle four cars were roped off. Even worse was RollerSoaker, which they were not seating anyone backwards making the line go so slow. Has anyone ever seen that before? -Andrew
drewelap
Yeah i noticed that too. On almost all the coasters (except Comet,Great Bear, and Storm Runner). Then again it was probably due to the fact that not alot of people were in line.
