I guess its good to see more coasters propping up in Aus, but why cant they build something exciting for goodness' sake!?

Then again, my rants are premature going on the pictures available so far!

Fingers crossed it ends up being something which would help justify a 4,000km trek from the West Coast! =D

^ Yup, i need another excuse to go to QLD so that i can ride Superman Escape again. Not fair, where's our new coaster in W.A.?

Thanks for the pictures and update. Very interesting.

I do have a couple of questions after doing some research.

In the pics, it looks like the ride is already verticle (left side of pic), but the track pictured looks like S&S, while I found these pictures of the track:

Has the park made an official announcement yet?

^ Yup, you're probably right. It is interesting to see the track arrived in February, and the footer are now being poured in June?

^ the track in the update you are looking at is for Wet N Wild and the footers I posted is for Dreamworld, The Gold Coast has 6 theme parks and we are getting two coaster in total this year.

Adventure World is too busy coming up with more 'packup' thrill rides methinks.

They have bucket loads of land; how much would a small to mid sized woodie cost?

For those of you confused this new update is about the rumoured Intamin Booster Bike (I believe it will be the first one for Intamin), and the construction site that has been established at Dreamworld for the new attraction.

There is a separate update about the Intamin Halfpipe coaster that is going in at Wet and Wild.

I'm going up to Queensland tomorrow, more Superman Escape loving: woo-hoo.

I know this will have a slower launch, and the ride will be family friendly, so I'm expecting something along the lines of Rita in terms on intensity. It looks like it will an out and back coaster, but I hope it is not a near clone of the Booster Bike coasters. I hope to follow the construction of this coaster, and it will probably be the year's sleeper hit.

Your right, they've got the land and in my opinion are busy enough in summer to justify it.

We'll just have to keep dreaming though because Adventure World is owned by the same company that owns Dreamworld, and i'm sure that right now, they are concentrating on competing with Movie World and Superman Escape......(daydreams about SE for about 5 mins).

but your closer to QLD than we are, it's a much cheaper flight for you.

Plus you've got Luna Park................. um, well, at least your closer to QLD.

Edit: Snipped rant about Melb being closer!
