The pirate ride was still open when Raptor opened. I went to Cedar Point in 1994 (Raptor's opening year) and 1996 (Mantis' opening year). For our 1994 visit, we rode the pirate ride. In 1996, it was closed.

You definitely lined up some great pictures there, thanks for putting those new ones up! Glad you had a good time at the park around the same time I did.

^ I made a change to the front page comment. Is that better now? I didn't exactly mean "photos of the S-curve" just meant "cool pictures of it under construction. Be happy that I found the pics interesting enough to put on the front page!

And I also moved your "Part Two" photos so they are also on the first page.

Hey, I didn't know you could do that.

I didn't mean to complain or anything, I was just surprised I made the front page for once.

Thanks!

Looks like you had a pretty fun time at CP without having Maverick open. I wish I could go to CP and get onto the rides over there but they've made sure only skinny people can get onto all of the good rides like MF, TTD, WT, and Maverick. But at least I'm going down so maybe in a few years I'll finally be able to go there and get onto those rides.

Wow awsome Photo TR! These are really great pics.

^I thought a terra coaster was well.. this is how I thought it wen't (this makes me very confused).

Mega= 100ft

Hyper= 200ft

Giga= 300ft

Strata= 400ft

Terra= 500ft.

At least this is what I was told.

Maverick is not 500 ft.

Terra coaster is just one of the fake buzz words that Cedar Points hype machine comes up with.

Look at the spelling kids...

Terra = short for terrain

Tera = Next logical step from Giga strata, etc.

THANK you. I was just going to say, I believe Terra has someting to do with ground; Maverick is basically a terrain like coaster [close to the ground and not going beyond 100 feet except the first drop.

I mentioned the spelling clear-up somewhere around here, I SWEAR I did...

Nynex: Supposedly, Maverick's restraints are surprisingly accommodating.

Thanks again everyone! New Photo TR coming after Saturday's visit!

I'm actually kind of surprised, because it's made by IntaRides and they're pretty much like Intamin and they look exactly like KK's restraints and there's not a single chance I could ever get onto that one at my current weight besides the main reason i would go there is to go on those record-breaking coasters like I mentioned earlier and yes I know that WT is not a record-breaker.

IntaRide = Intamin.

IntaRide is just the American name that Intamin uses.
