Apparently it was really painful. Such as the trains were badly designed for the track. Supposedly it ran okay its first years, though they took out a corkscrew, but in its last few years, it got too painful.

The ride was no more painful than any other Arrow looper IMO.

It had one very bad element that they removed early on, but I never rode it when that was there so I don't know...but I've seen pics and it looked awful.

There were rumors that Busch was going to be sued because of an injury on the ride, but that never was confirmed at all.

It was a decent Arrow looper, but nothing that special. The glow-in-the-dark trains were awesome though at night.

It amazes me that a so-so ride like this still is being discussed so many years later.

I think its funny how some rides people bitched about so much when they were open.. But as soon as they get removed they become legends...

Now I never got to ride DF (but I did see it SBNO.. My sister got i t::()

It looked cool and all.. But still it seemed like everyone HATED it.. But now that its gone it became famous/infamous. Same kinda thing happened with Shockwave at Great America.. Seems all I heard about it were bad things.. yet as soon as it went everyone got all "I LOVE SHOCKWAVE!! ::(!!!!"

And even to a lesser it happened with Orient Express at WOF.. open - "blahblah it sucks.." but gone - "I MISS IT!!!"

niiicolaaah^definately a good post to read up on. I never got to ride DF, (unfortunately) however, gone or not, the problems perplex me...Orient Express(WOF) was my first looping coaster, so ulitimately i will miss it(although i don't really remember it)

I understood that the ride(Drachen Fire) was rough, and granted it is an Arrow, but after watching a POV over and over again, it seems as though only the EXIT of the first corkscrew(fourth element) was the "snapper", With a little research i found that the design was passed off from B&M to Arrow(most prolly knew that i guess) so a clash in design makes A LITTLE sense, but still, no reason that it couldn't have out-lived Loch-Ness at least...

That was just a rumor.. B&M never had anything to do with the ride.

Then maybe SOB will be the most talked about coaster after it is demolished

"OMG..I remember that loop on SOB 30 years ago...it was the BEST!"

"Yea, those helixes were more intense than Goliath!"

"Yea...SOB...-sob-"

Ha, yea right!
