Cool! Someone is finally putting the Hershey's rides to good use. Can't wait to see how this park turns out.

Maybe they will sell some type of new candy bar with pineapple or coconut?!?!

Update

Year 5 Mid-Year Installment

There has been alot of work on the Hershey Grove section of the park over the last few months since Hershey announced the buy out.

This looks to be a different version of Reese's Xtreme Cup Challenge... Guess it is:

HERSHEY'S HAWIIAN ESCAPE - Prepare to get your competitive side going for Hershey's newest ride later this season.

Reese's Xtreme Cup Challenge will take riders through several scenes where guests will be able to compete with each other as they try to shoot the most targets. The finale of the ride will be a 30 mph launch through several small bunny hills.

"This is the premier family attraction," said PR manager Stan Smith,"everyone from 4 - 100 will enjoy this ride."

The ride began construction quickly after Hershey's purchase of the park was announced. They hope to have it open by December of Year 5.

Looks like it's going to be pretty dark inside. The park needs a dark ride.

The building doesn't look too bad around everything else.

November, Year 5

I got to be a "test-dummy" a few days ago, here are some pics from the ride.

The other train is getting ahead of us.

The launch is more intense than I expected it to be. Apparently, the ride is a product of Premier with help from Sally Dark Rides.

The loading area...

I think this is where the onride photos will eventually be installed.

These hills provide a decent amount of air.

I heard this ride might be on its way out but I doubt that seeing there are only 2 water rides at the park.

I see Tidal Wave

The double flat-spin on Tidal Wave is crazy.

Closing shot of the other Reese's ride.

More soon.

Update

Year 5

The year is coming to a close and next season's gonna be a slower season, but with alot of improvements.

I've heard the only ride being installed next year is: Twizzler Turnover, which will most likely be your standard top-spin.

The big addition for next year will be the long-awaited parking garage.

Then the old parking lot will probably become the Hershey Hawaii resort area.

Oh yeah, the Hershey Store is soon to be open!

A ton of people thought this would be a train station, but there's one only 300 feet away so that would be somewhat pointless.

There's Kissing Tower in the background

SeaStar looks different now, but not too bad.

Themed lights have been added to the Hershey Grove area.

Cool shot of the only tower in the park now.

Xtreme Cup Challenge has really been bringing in the crowds.

Tidal Wave with Kissing Tower in the background.

Hey, it's Mine Mountain, everybody forgets about this coaster.

It's kept its smoothness.

More soon.

Year 6

Year 6 is now here, and alot has changed over the past few months:

The parking garage has finally been constructed!

Here's a shot from 2 weeks ago

And one from yesterday.

The old parking lot is gone...

But it has opened up alot of space.

Here's the parking garage from Hershey Grove

The crowd-levels have been record-breaking this year, so far.

Hopefully they'll soon develop this area into the Hershey Hawaii area. I've heard from an "insider" we should start to see progress on that in about 5 years.

Twizzler Turnover is also now open.

To intense for me...

Oh yeah, you get soaked.

Hey, if it brings in the crowds.

To close this update, here's a shot of the train going through the Hershey store.

I also heard today that Year 7 will be a huge year coaster-wise for Hershey's Hawaiian Escape. This should be interesting.

I think you should change the Resees Extreme cup ride to a drifting coaster and it would propbly make it better and more fun!! BTW I like how you made the parking structure and how youmade such a big land space! If I were you I would decorate the main path from the entrance more, cause it just looks to bland.

Update

Year 6

Alot is happening in preparation for Year 7.

The go-karts closed...

Tidal Wave at night

This is gonna be a signature shot someday.

Octopus doesn't get much love. Most people forget its here.

Mine Mountain's one of three lift hills.

Oh yeah, Waste of Space's former area was converted into the Marketplace.

It's basically a foodcourt.

Whoa, the go-karts are gone!

What?

It does open the area up.

Hopefully it's for next year's coaster installment.

Oh yeah, you don't know. Orange intamin box track was supposedly seen "heading for the park".

More soon.

Here's a signature shot!

A view across the lake.

The night sky at Hershey's Hawaiian Escape.

Here's some construction - the park is extending the boardwalk area.

Here's a better view of the area of progress.

A gift shop stands where SkyTower once stood.

More soon.

Year 6

Year 7 Announcement

In Year 7, Hershey's Hawiian Escape guests will fly in the sky at speeds of over 70 mph.

Ride's logo.

HERSHEY'S HAWIIAN ESCAPE - Year 7 will be a huge one for Hawaii's best themepark.

Tigre will be a heart-stopping coaster beginning with a 70 mph launch up an 18-story tophat, followed by a cobra loop, and then into twisting turns that will conclude with a 10 story vertical drop back to the station.

The ride is being built by Intamin, a world-wide leader in coaster thrills.

The ride is expected to open next year.

Tigre's layout

The massive tophat dwarfs the rest of the park [*the supports have since been modified]

I heard the ride was originally supposed to launch out of the volcano...

Looks like they still need to build the station.

It's great that this is the first thing you'll see as you enter the park next year.

Oh yeah...

More vertical dropage.

Looks vertical to me.

A final look at the park in Year 6

I don't think I've ever posted a picture of this ride, it's been here since the park first opened.

More soon.

Update

Year 7

Not alot has been happening lately, except: 2 MAJOR ATTRACTIONS WILL BE INSTALLED over the next two years. Hershey released that information in a recent press conference about profit reports. Hopefully both of the attractions will be coasters.

Here's Tigre's station, it is in the Colonial Hawaii area, (AKA the entrance plaza), so it is themed appropriately.

Hopefully they'll get control of that tree branch before the ride officially opens! It might hurt hitting that at 70 mph.

The cobra loop towers over the park.

Airtime is gonna be had...

The park also added a gift store where Phoenix formerly stood.

I still miss Phoenix, though.

What's this? It looks like they've began to add a new section. Check out the lanscaping!

I think the Year 8 installment is gonna be announced soon.

I'm just checking this out for the first time! Awesome job! I was really sad when Hershey came in and paved over half of the park!! It's cool seeing the park evolve just like how it would in real life.
