We have wild floorless coasters like that. As for the big factor, he made announcement specifically stating that it was supposed to be the tallest, biggest and fastest in the world.

Year 22 Announcement

HERSHEY HAWAII - Coming this season, Hershey Hawaii Resort will unleash a massive attraction that will turn the area into a fully functioning resort:

THE VOLCANIC AT HERSHEY HAWAII RESORT

Featuring over 500 guests room, the hotel will become one of Hawaii's most unique and distinguishable hotels in existence. The hotel will also be home to an array of hotels, stores, and a 10 screen movie multiplex.

"This is one of the additions the Hershey Entertainment has been wanting to add for over a decade," said a CEO recently,"and we feel this is the best time to do so."

Construction begun last year and is expected to conclude next month. Rooms are expected to be booked completely for the next year by next month. The hotel features four room packages: single, family, deluxe, and the volcanic, which occupy entire top floors.

Each room will provide guests with a picturesque view of the park and the surroundings. Half of the rooms will feature and ocean view.

Hershey also announced a new attraction for the resort area: Hershey's Chocolate World - a self-guided tour through the makings of the famous Hershey chocolate.

The park asks that you please make reservations at least one year in advance to reduce the risk of a rejection when you arrive.

Construction from LAST YEAR

The park added a lagoon near the front area of the hotel.

All of the movie theaters, stores and stuff is inside the "core" of the volcano.

Looks cool to me.

I got to check out one of the rooms - awesome view.

It's cool how it looks like the hotel is emerging from the volcano.

Overview of the front section

Looks great - nice work Hershey

Some parking has been added but a shuttle runs from the garage to the hotel so that'll be convenient.

It'll be cool to be able to stay overnight right next to the park.

As promised, Hard Rock Cafe also extended to the road.

The addition doubled the size of the restaurant.

More soon. I should have photos of Chocolate World by then.

I agree. Anyways, I think this park is fabulous! Everything, the rides, restraunts, updates- spectular! But you do need more flat rides instead of coasters. Bring back the drop tower!

I just think the color scheme looks a little like a prison, I'm not saying I've seen a prison on the side of a volcano. I really like the hotel though, it's an awesome idea.

^ But floorless coasters are supposed to be long...

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad everybody likes the hotel.

Not Beast long. Just regular long.

I guess my point is that you can make a good record-breaker without overdoing it.

Update

Year 22

Chocolate Tour is now open.

It's an alright attraction, there's a store and a walk-through museum.

Still a decent place.

Latest talk is that Hurtle is on its way out.

I've also heard that the board that conrols the resort has experienced a shift in ownership.

It could be good. It could be bad.

The park looks great. And the hotel compliments it all.

Everything looks how it should be. For the most part.

It's the only coaster remaining from the Hawaiian Escape days.

I mean, imagine this view without Hurtle!

They won't take it out - it's history.

More soon.

Do you mean the whole park got sold again? And Hershey just built the chocolate tour...why? I mean, if the park is sold, what's the point of the chocolate tour?

I kinda knew Hurtle di Zhambi would be the next to go. Hey, it's a Vekoma. Here's to whatever replaces it, if it goes.

No, just a different group of people are in charge of all of the decision-making at the park. Hershey still owns it.

Okay, now that I've looked at it more, Orangu is growing on me. It's really just the drop and the first inversion that I hate. It would be a lot better if it were just a 90 degree turning drop.

I hope Hurtle doesn't leave. It's such a nice coaster.

So,the park has been sold again,to who?

Six Flags?

Cedar Fair?

Disney?

Warner Bros?

Or Universal?

Please don`t sell Hurtle De Shambi,if they do,they only have Tidal Wave from the Hawaiian Escape era,and I don`t like that coaster!

Posted

No, they sold it to Paramount Judging by the great work on the park, I'm hoping that Cedar Fair or Universal took over. Universal for theming sake, and CF for all the rides...

^ THE PARK IS STILL OWNED COMPLETELY BY HERSHEY - ONLY A NEW GROUP OF PEOPLE ARE IN CHARGE OF OVERSEEING THE PARK. THE WERE HIRED BY HERSHEY

Update

Year 23 Announcement

Ownership Change at Hershey Entertainment

HERSHEY HAWAII - Breaking news out of Pennsylvania - the group that controls all of Hershey's resort destinations and other tourist attractions has changed, leaving all of the properties up in the air.

New board member Joe Ward had this to say, "Expect changes in all of the properties, we are about to begin new, innovative tourism measures to bring monetary levels back up to what they should be.

He said not to expect changes for a few years while the board settles out and finalizes a "game plan".

"We're getting this company back on track."

This sounds cool to me, hopefully we'll see alot of new stuff at the park.

Construction has already started on next year's addition(s).

I like JRancher - It doesn't spin as much as it did last year.

I guess that means no addition for Year 23. Makes sense - they need to settle out after a massive addition like the hotel.

I heard the place is booked for the entire Year 23 season. Hopefully an addition is in store.

I'm going across the ocean to California for a few months, I should be back in time for the Year 24 announcement.
