Whao...very nice park. I havent been on in a while and I have just noticed this.

Aww....dang about Viper, it looked really nice. Ah well....out with the old, in with the new.

I really like the way you do your parks in the update. Like a Trip Report or something.

Great work!!

Year 2 - Recap

Year 2 was somewhat of a slow year, nothing much. The crowds died off a bit, but they expected that with two headliner rides closed.

Riptide still sitting there nearly untouched.

Hopefully they'll go ahead and tear it down to put it out of its misery. I don't get why they have to leave it there to conduct the investigation.

- Now the moment everybody's been waiting for, the announcement of... -

Update

Year 2 - Next Year Announcement

HAWAIIAN ESCAPE - The park announced today plans for an 8 story thrill ride today.

Hurtle de' Zhambi will thrust riders at 60 mph into three inversions, twists, plunges, and turns.

"We are very excited about the addition," park manager Ron Smith said, "it's a great attraction.

The ride is manufactured by Vekoma. The ride is one of a kind to the area. The ride will open for the Year 3 season.

Stats:

Length: 3403'

Height: 80'

Inversions: 3

Speed: 57 mph

Duration: 1:22

Word on the street is that this was somewhat of a "gift" to the park from Vekoma.

I guess since they really screwed them over with Riptide.

The ride is surprisingly smooth. Hopefully just like it's sister coaster in Florida.

The park is adding a whole new section around it.

I'm glad they were able to reuse Viper's station.

The area around the ride looks nice.

It looks really cool from a distance.

The turnaround back to the station.

More soon. Wait until you hear what I heard might possibly replace Riptide!

Year 3

The Year 3 season is off to a good start

Crowds have been moderate

We haven't covered the ferris wheel alot. It's cool.

The latest talk is that Dolphina is on the way out due to Seaworld Hawaii opening soon.

Riptide is still sitting there.

Line for Hurtle de Zhambi (no, I don't know what that means)

Pre-launch shot.

a few weeks later

Whoa, Dolphina was shut down yesterday...

This is apparently the last show.

The show was almost always packed.

Guess they knew it wouldn't stand up to a Seaworld production

You will be missed.

What's this?

Finally...

The Dolphina eventually closed

Breaking News!

The first pieces of a ride dubbed "Project: Wave" have just arrived!

Floorless, Invert, Dive Machine, Hyper, Stand-up? Those are all of the possibilities in my eyes.

Here's the overview of the land availible for Project: Wave, in the bottom area is where Dolphina once stood. The upper portion is where Riptide stood.

The new coaster for Season 4 will be announced March 9th, 2007!

Year 4 Announcement!

Debuting the Year 4 Season, Hawaiian Escape will unleash yet another thrill ride: Tidal Wave.

Tidal Wave will reach 10 stories toward the sky, and will plunge riders 80 feet into the first vertical loop, from there, riders will be thrown through a zero-g roll and an immelman element. Soaring across the midway, the suspended riders will maneuver through a tilted immelman into an intense helix leading into another vertical loop.

Then it gets interesting, if it hasn't already, riders will cross the midway again, upside down, as they roar through two consecutive flat spins - never before seen in an inverted coaster.

Tidal Wave's twisted layout.

The second vertical loop.

The first vertical loop.

The train crossing over the midway.

Cool lifthill shot!

View of the immelman from down below deck.

This park looks great at dusk.

You can clearly see the ride as you're approaching the park entrance.

Oh, hey immelman.

I searched around after hearing all the Dive Machine rumors and found something interesting: someone in Hawaii had already planned for a dive machine, because HE was planning on adding one. This could only mean the upcoming Seaworld Hawaii park.

No updates for about a week, I'm going out of town, but when HE returns, I hear something big is coming.

Let's just say... I hope you like chocolate.

Update

Year 4

Year 4 has flown by, it seems as in the last week....

The park has been bought out by a huge corporation, but a formal announcement has not yet been made.

Changes are very obvious around the park.

It's going around that all of the tower rides are coming down.

That would really change the park's skyline.

Tidal Wave is still a hit.

I don't know what'd I'd do without the Intamin drop tower.

I also heard that SeaStar might also be removed for the new owners.

That would disappoint alot of people.

It's one of the more popular rides at the park.

Looks like Waste of Space is finally leaving...

I hate corporate takeover.

The new ownership announcement will be announced tomorrow.

This park is really cool, and pretty realistic.Tidal Wave looks great, but I noticed in one of the pictures there was still some of the default supports attached.

Anyways, It's looking really good. Can't wait to see more.

Year 5 Announcement

Hawaiian Escape to become:

HAWAIIAN ESCAPE - Hawaii's favorite themepark is getting a dose of chocolate next year. The park has been bought out by the Hershey Entertainment group. The park is currently being rebranded to include the Hershey name. In order to keep costs down, most of the park will remain themed as it is now, but the new owneers will add the "Hershey Grove" area to the park which will incllude several Hershey-themed rides including: Hershey's Chocolate Coaster, Hershey's Xtreme Cup Challenge, Reese's Cup Twirler, and Twizzler Turnover.

These rides will be added over the next two seasons. The area will also include a Hershey store that the train will go through. The park will add a new "Kissing Tower" observation ride.

Hershey has plans to also add a parking garage to clear up space for the planned "Hershey Hawaii" resort area that will include hotels, stores, and the classic Chocolate Factory Tour.

Hershey also decided to remove 4 rides from the park. These include Delusion [waste of space], Phoenix [condor ride], Skydeck [observation tower], and Rock Drop [gyro drop].

Expect more announcements soon.

No one really knows whether or not this is the old tower with new equipment, or a whole new ride.

It looks great, though.

Skydeck's former site.

Phoenix's former site.

Hershey Grove construction

Whoa, they went and paved over Delusion's old site.

The skyline has really changed.

Delusion's queue is now being removed.

Waste of Space isn't looking too bad compared to this, come on Hershey...

This is dumb.

Hopefully it's only temporary

Hershey's, I mean Reese's

New signage.

More soon.
