Ran to Universal Orlando again today. Ive been watching the weather webcam they have setup and noticed on the far left Nick building blue!

As many of you might have read on Screamscape, the NASCAR Sports Grill opened. The woman doing the seating allowed me upstairs to snap some pics. I never went inside before the remodel, but this all looks very nice. Upstairs is nice, with the 2 cars hanging from the ceiling and multiple projectors.

Outside:

Downstairs:

Some other little things around the resort. Mardi Gras is all over USO with the stage set up.

The Conespheres have been moved to the side of the lake, and one has been deflated...

Finally, the red carpet was once again brought out. This time, the massive Home Builders convention is in Orlando. The rented out the entire IOA for the night, as well as pretty much the entire club area of CityWalk...

And finally, as well all know....

Thanks for checking out my update.

Nice report, I'll have to check out the BMG when it opens.

My season passes to Universal expire any day, don't know the exact date because Universal's passes/pass website sucks, but I have no urge to go back.

Maybe if they start actually trying to add new rides or something, but you can only do things so many times before it's just super boring.

Yes. The Cinespheres have been up for awhile. They might be cleaning them, cause the seagulls like to sit and relieve themselves and they have gotten quite dirty.

Nice report. I haven't been to Universal in a long time. What ever happened to Nick Studios?

The first line of this trip report tells you what happened to it.

It's close and Blue Man Group are going in that building.

Wow! So much has happened to the resort since last Friday! Last week, they were just painting the overhang of queue to the Blue Man Group show. Now, they are painting the building.

Last week, there was still a mighty-big sized whole in the Studios side of the Nascar Grille. Now, it is open and looking better than ever (hopefully the food and the service improved during the transition between owners).

I have my Blue Man Group tickets for the opening show, opening night. I was a little excited about the show, so I ended up being the third person to buy a ticket for the first show (I called one minute after the ticket office opened for the first time). We are in the seventh row, middle section. I am guessing that they have reserved much of Section A for the media, but I could be wrong.

^ I'm guessing wrong.

BMG is a cool show, but it's run it's course for those of us that have the "pleasure" of seeing four times. It's really not the big of a deal for the cities that have had it for almost a decade.

^ I got those tickets the day the ticket office opened. I believe it was the day after the press event. I have mentioned it before, especially in my last thread which covered the Universal Orlando Resort. I am really excited. I have already seen the show in New York (that was what got me hooked on the Blue Man Group) and since then, I have been waiting for an Orlando show. Just my luck to be getting one now huh?

You are one lucky kid. May I touch you?

^ I thought you had cooties?

BMG is OK. I think it's run it's course, so I don't get the excitement over it. Nor would I get excited about it coming to Universal, but that's me.

I must not have caught that information from one of your Florida trip reports. Which TR was it. I thought I had read them all, but I am kind of blurry on the details.

"I have already purchased my opening night, opening show tickets. Have you?" http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33009.

^I'd be afraid to touch him because he has cooties.

I have cooties? If I do, of what kind are they? Not the dreaded Vekoma cooties!!!
