SoCal Vs. Central FL - Where to go this winter

I am hoping to take a trip this Januray or February!

 

I have not been to Orlando since 1994 which means I have not done anything at Animal Kingdom, or Test Track, Nemo, Mission Space @ Apricot Center, and I haven't done Poo at MK (anything else new there?)

 

I have then also not been to IOA, or Mummy, MIB, or Shrek

 

Also Kumba was closed last time I was in Tampa and that was their only big coaster back then

 

I have not been in SoCal since 1997 which means I have not been to DCA- also I have never been to Knotts, SFMM, Sea World SDO, or Legoland

 

If you know both areas and know what I have missed in both, what would you pick?

 

It seems that there are more awsome new rides in FL but more "never been to parks in SoCal..."

I vote Florida. There is so much more to do at a MUCH higher quality level.

 

And also, consider that coming to So Cal in January, you will probably find rides like X, at probably one major coaster at Knott's, not working.

But see, there's the other draw to SoCal- I could stop by and "Meet the Alvey's"- sounds like the name of a bad movie

^ Well, I can tell you that Jan & Feb are going to be pretty bad for me due to work. I'm wrapping up a major project then and I'll probably be in the UK for most of those two months. So don't let that be a major draw!

I would suggest Florida, since you ask. Sure you miss out on Tatsu and California Screamin' but you have Tower Of Terror, RNRC, Everest, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, SheiKra, Kumba, etc. etc. to make up for it. Plus there's much less travel between the destinations in Orlando/Tampa than those in SoCal.

Anyway, another good reason in Florida is "Expedition Soren". Be sure to visit the German Pavilion when you are coming to Florida!

Florida wins in both quality and quantity hands down.

I, too, vote for Florida. Even though I do prefer Disneyland the park to Florida's Magic Kingdom, WDW is a much better resort than DL. And ya gotta love Sheikra at BGA. The weather should be nicer in Florida, too.

Florida. The quality level of the parks and attractions is so much higher.

Having been to both, I say Florida. You'll love the 80 degree weather when your friends are knee deep in snow. Plus, the parks are way cooler.
