Goliathdude Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Hey everyone I made and Xcelerator model and wanted to share it enjoy also there still is painting to do and other things. Oh and sorry if it's in the wrong place.
Ccron10 Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Really Good. I'm designing my first one now too. But don't expect me done anytime soon.
Goliathdude Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 I used these things: . Posterboard - for the base/track . Toothpicks/chopsticks - for the supports . Glue gun/super glue . and tape  thanks Ccron10
Goliathdude Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 Thanks thefitness i plan on starting a Kingda ka one next.
vjgx Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Wow, nice job! Â Ironically, I'm currently working on an Xcelerator model too! Â But mine is made from straws, coffee stirrers, foam, and packing tape. And so far, it's much more ghetto... but I like it that way. Makes it unique.
Real Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Nice, however I like the Underoath picture. Good CD.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Great model, I don't know if just haven't got around to it, but you are missing the cross beam between the top hat. Other than that great model.
TheMan Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 very nice, how do you make those because i would love to make them
Satoshi Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 goliathdude< wow show us the way you built knott's berry farm super coaster xcelerator for the good people! yay you're the best! i love that tall top hat coz very kinda real structure!
Goliathdude Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 Ok here's how I did it Satoshi, TheMan, and anyone else who wants to know. First I drew the basic out line on a full peice of posterboard. From there I used chopsticks and tooth picks for the supports. Next Make the track by useing posterboard. draw 5 equal lines. score the lines and fold over to make a square shap for the box track. you glue the 5th line to the underside of the 1st to hold it in place.
RRollergod Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 How did you shape the posterboard like bend it? I make models from real wood but the way you are doing it is much cheaper and saves room.
Goliathdude Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 You just bend it gently till you get the shape you want. The only downside is you cant bend it very far or you'll get ugly bend marks.
savemagicmountain Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Good job. Nice underoath poster I have the same one. There only chasing safty was a much better cd then define the great line. keep up the good work.
