Guest Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Here's a short trip report with some photos to follow. Stayed the night at a Cedar Point hotel so we were able to enter the park an hour early - thank goodness!!! (As it got quite crowded later in the day.) Ride 1 - Dragster. Walk-on. We were the third car to be dispatched, however the very first car rolled back. I never realized what a process it is to re-launch a roll-back. To make a long story short the ops "manually" backed up and unloaded the two cars in the station as well as the roll-back and then had to take out the LAST FIVE ROWS on each car. There are nine rows, so when the ride was up and running it had ten ghost riders each cycle! Enough of my rambling - got a GREAT front row ride. Ride 2 - Millinium. Walk-on. Great ride, back row. Quite chilly. I won't bore you with the rest of the rides... I'll just say it got more crowded as the day went on and lines were very lengthy. Overall a very fun time. Stayed til midnight and am worn out. Please bare with me as I just realized I did the ENTIRE report backwards!!! SORRY! Empty que line for Dragster... it did not stay that way for long. I really enjoyed this ride. Yea. The "shot" that everyone has but you still must take. (Did that even make sense?) REALLY???????? Then WHY did the line look like this all day? Ouch! Mandatory construction photo of Maverick. Miss Shia read my fortune... it made no sense at all. Rest in peace, Pirate Ride! I like the photo, not the ride. It HURTS! Even monsters can do "The Electric Slide"! I actually love being jerked around on this ride. Seriously. Wheee! MaxAir - Fun ride. He's ready to hit the slopes! Bloodweiser... Mmmmmmm... sharing my Bloodweiser with a local skull. Interesting fella. Prime mullet sighting. Fright Zone entrance. (Where people jumped out and scared us, thus causing Bloodweiser to go everywhere.)
Ryan King Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Really Nice to See a Trip Report from someone with only 18 posts! I love seeing TR's come from people who are new at it. Good TR! I really enjoyed it. Keep it up! Only one suggestion, I would like to see a few more coaster photos. Your captions were rather good etc. Thanks for the TR! -Ryan
PKI Jizzman Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Man! Empty lines for Dragster and MF must be awesome!!!! I wish I was there! More CP pics, please! Nice PTR!
vjgx Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 The day I get to walk onto TTD and MF is the day I'm happy. Very happy. But alas, that won't happen.
tinflowers Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 'Pout'...I waiting a whole hour for Dragster! But it was worth it...fun ride. Cool TR! Did the Bloodwiser taste like the normal crap? : )
Real Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I was there that day taking pictures. When I got there around 8pm the park was LIT. and by LIT, I mean almost using the OVERFLOW lot. Heck, the line for the Donut shop at the front was almost as long as Raptors line.
Guest Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I was only lucky enough to get walk-ons because I stayed at a C.P. resort and got to enter the park an hour before official opening time. The lines got PROGRESSIVELY LONGER as the day went on. Dragster broke down at some point and I tried to take a photo of it "getting fixed", but some dude didn't like that and put his hand in my face. (See photo.) The Bloodweiser tastes just like the good ol' BUD. (If you can call it "good") Nothing to see here, folks!
ginzo Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I think he was just crushing your head, like in the old Kids in the Hall skit.
