ParkTrips Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Seriously though, is it really a surprise that they are down? I am genuinely shocked at the claims that an Intamin Accelerator - much less three of them - is experiencing extended downtime.
Hercules Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 But you can't even put the stratacoasters into that category. I would be shocked if, say, Xcelerator, Storm Runner and Rita were all experiencing extended downtime at the same time. But if you through KK and TTD in the place of Storm Runner and Rita, it's not that shocking. Besides, is Kingda Ka really experiencing that great of downtime? It has either been raining here or been windy for the last couple of weeks. Maybe that is a problem. The last two times I have been to the park, the ride has been down. It is a moody sucker anyway. Me = not surprised at all.
ParkTrips Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 you should know me well enough to know when I am being sarcastic
Hercules Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I know you were.... I was just making a point. You saying genuinely like that almost made me fall off of my chair laughing
the sound Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Superman Escape is fine. no coasters down here have caught Bird flu, they i wish Metropolis would. "One of the few reasons its good to be isolated!"
trustkill22 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 In August I went to CP and TTD was going great with fast dispatches and Millenium Force did break down more than TTD. The only time I did see TTD take a bit of a break is because somebody drooled all over the seat and stuff so they sterlized it and cleaned it. But it was running like GOLD.
coasterfreak101 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Is there any update on this? My family and I are going for our first time the last weekend of this month, we definately want KK to be open when we go! --Tyler
Hurricane Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 no coasters down here have caught Bird flu, though I wish Metropolis would. Ummm... Last year or Early this year, didn't it chuck a Morgan?
pkdcoaster Posted September 17, 2006 Author Posted September 17, 2006 Good news! Thank you very much for the update. JEFF
vjgx Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 According to forum members on RCPro, Xcelerator also reopened yesterday!
XII Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Hooray! Xcelerator is open and will hopefully not have problems next month.
vjgx Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 ^Yeah, hopefully... I plan on going on October 10th (avoiding the Haunt crowds)...
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Derek rode Storm Runner over the weekend. Could it just be that the crappy park (knotts) didn't take care of theirs, and TTD and KK are always broken? Watch your mouth! Knott's is buckets of fun!But I do agree, TTD and KK break down like twice an hour. which is pretty impressive considering it takes two hours to repair it each time. but seriously, one time I had to wait like 3-4 hours for KK while I was already standing in the station itself, because it kept breaking down! it broke down like 8 times that day That was one ballzzey move dude. 5 OUT OF 5 POUND IT STICKERS!
Turtleggjp Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 According to forum members on RCPro, Xcelerator also reopened yesterday! Great! I was just about to ask again about Xcelerator, since I was planning a trip to Knotts right after Ghostrider came out of rehab (according to the schedule on the Knotts website). I thought about cancelling the trip when I heard Xcelerator was down as well, but now it sounds like I might go.
