taytig
Just checked the websites again and it looks like PCW passes for next year are only valid at PCW, with no other options. The other parks seem to have MAXX pass options available. If you buy at Kings Dominion, it is even cheaper for the MAXX pass. It also seems that they are ignoring PCW as the other parks get free parking passes if they renew this season, but not PCW. HMMMMMMM looks like they are ignoring their Canadian Park a bit.....or just not giving us options. Kind of disappointing. - I would spend the money if the option was there. Screamomatic
Of course there not going to give us the good stuff, there going to give us crap, just like all the coasters... Â They can take there monopoly and shove it up there ass, I refuse to spend my money at that shit hole.
Carnage
Let's see here ... prices are raised, and any extra value options are removed. Yup, sounds like crap to me. Â I doubt I'll be going to PCW next year. Well, unless I get a season pass at some other CF park. But PCW won't be getting money from me if they're going to do this. bratman
I am not too happy about this... I was hoping to ue my pass in conjunction with the Coastercon at PKI next year, to save some money. I hope they reconsider and give PCW access to this MaxPass.
knottslover77
Knotts and PCW don't have it cause there to far away. Â --Jay
bratman
PCW is less than a 6 hour drive from Geauga and CP, and an 8 hr drive from PKI. I imagine Dorney is only slightly longer. People here in Toronto go to Cedar Point quite a bit.
307
PKD is about the same distance from any other Cedar Fair park. How far is Knott's from PGA? Â This is garbage, btw and I definately am not getting a Wonderland pass next year [especially since they ruined Wild Beast].
disneyfan1313
Not to play the devils advocate here - but season passes are "advertised" to get you into the park you are buying them for...anything else is generally gravy and an great extra. Â I would bet that for the most part the GP does not even pay attention to the ability to go between parks (i.e. with a six flags pass) and unfortunately the GP is who parks market to and who they make the most money off of. Gnome
Knotts and PCW don't have it cause there to far away. --Jay Knotts pass is still being negotiated. Also, in the past we've had all the CF parks, it just was not advertised on the back of the pass. I'm expecting to at least still get all original CF parks on the pass, I don't see why that would change at all.

So all the US parks season passes will be good at PCW, but PCW will be only good at PCW.  That sure seems like a slap in the face to me.
bratman
I just thought of something..... Â With the Americans requiring a passport for entry into their country starting next year (fully phased in by 2008)...maybe Cedar Fair is figuring that most Canadians will stop travelling to the USA? Carnage
^ No passports will be required for land crossings in 2007. Â So even if that requirement was being factored in I can't imagine it being an issue for the 2007 passes.
Screamomatic
Maybe if everyone knew CP ownz PCW, they would stop going to Canada's Wonderland altogether
ShannonSomerville
Well,I just found out about the PKD/Cedar Fair pass system on Monday when I went to PKD for my Birthday. Maybe they haven't announced it for PCW yet. I hoping that's the case. A PKD ONLY Pass is 65.00,while the Cedar Fair Maxx Pass is 89.95,and that includes all 12 parks. Carnage
^ That's not the case. Â PCW public relations has already confirmed that they are not currently offering the Maxx pass, and that they currently do not have any plans too.

I am wondering if CF is taking that into account.  Niagara Falls is feeling the pinch this year due to this issue, and the proposed amusement park on Clifton Hill is on hold until they see what happens with the issue.  Anyways, I am just trying to find a reason for the exclusion, and right now nothing makes much sense about it. Carnage
^ To be honest, I think the passport issue is probably to complicated. Â I honestly believe it's much simpler then that. I'm guessing this is simply a case of CF not offering it because they don't think the Canadian GP will even know it's missing. CF probably figures the amount of people they'll annoy will be small enough not to offer the deal. Â I'd actually like to see PCW sold. I'd rather see PCW run privately then become CFs piggy bank. Â Hmm maybe there is something to that, there... perhaps (ok I know it is a longshot) CP plans on flipping PCW, hence not offering a MaxPass. Â As you can see I am pulling at straws here
Carnage
^ Yeah, I kind of wondered the same thing. It could actually explain the lack of a maxx pass. Â Though I'd probably say it's not all that likely. Â Selling PCW could get CF quite alot of cash to help with their debt. Though on the other hand they'd be giving up the most profitable park in the chain.

And, apparently, CP was way more profitable than both...but I am sure the resorts were taken into account there.  Still, even if PCW is at #3 profitwise (a very good spot I might add), CF would be giving up on a good property. But I wouldnt put it past them to do it... I am sure the park would go for US$300 million on its own. Nice way to pare down the debt.
paulTT
ive purchased seasons passes to wonderland for about three years now, and i dont think ill be buying one for next year. PCW probaly wont even be getting a new ride for the 2007 season, which is why it may not be worth buying a pass. i was hoping for the MAXPASS to show up at PCW but i guess not....... Â PCW would have to REALLY blow PKI and CP out of the water attendance wise to top them in profit. (taking into consideration resorts and the US dollar conversion). RBOrrell
I think the solution is quite simple. I will make my first park visit of the year at either Geauga Lake or Cedar Point and get the Maxx. Then I can use it at PCW.
Three
To be perfectly clear, are the passes sold at other Cedar Fair passes valid for PCW?
