gmoney422 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Tough trip to SFGA today! Lots of ppl. Had to wait 2 hrs just to get flash pass! But once that was done, the day took a turn for the better. Got another ride on KK and 3 more on El Toro, which brings my totals to 10 and 16 respectively. But enough about that, on to the pics…! They planted these chili pepper plants all around the exit walkway of El Toro. Very ‘hot’ theming IMO (ha ha ha, I made a pun…!) Thanks for reading. This PTR is over! The bridge from ‘the Deuce’ to El Toro has been re-opened and gives a great view of the Bull. Here is our competition on the go-karts. Those 2 guys in the black and red shirts couldn’t kart for sh1t! I got behind them, and they kept swerving all over the damn track! So I put ‘em both into the wall! Huuuuuuuck…missed ‘em! (kidding again!) Congo rapids has this cool little observation deck/balcony near the $.25 canons where you can spit on riders (kidding) as they pass. Neat! Nice shot of Nitro’s ending whoop-dee-doos (technical jargon) from the Flash Pass entrance to Batman. Awwwe, there’s my big girl! My girl, Nitro, was in great form today! She ran 3 trains and only had one stoppage b/c some guy was mouthin’ off to the ride-op! Obscenities to ride-op + Security called = bye bye Our El Toro pic was a tad more on the risqué side. Easy fanboys, she a mother of twins now! Hmm, ya think I know where the cams are…? Also, I wonder if they want you touching the screens? Not sure… Our KK on-ride came out OK. TPR shirt in da hizzouse!!! This is my wife, Kim, in line for her maiden voyage on KK…she is less than enthusiastic, apprehensive would be an understatement. Yes, “more rides…less wait” is correct, but not for the Flash Pass booth. The Flash Pass registration building is the tiny one way in the distance. Not the first building, the second one! At least there were Dippin Dots on the way. Let’s just say we were not the only ones that decided to head to the park today…!
Golfie Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Lol at the "Whoop-De-Woos" Nitro always looks fun... I need to get to GAdv before I die... or at least go to College. Andrew C.
Hercules Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 A friend and I had noticed those chili peppers while waiting in line on July 4th. I thought that was a great little addition to the theme.
gmoney422 Posted August 23, 2006 Author Posted August 23, 2006 From the pics, you can tell how long the line was for regular tix, so we went to the VIP house and got 'all-inclusive' VIP tix. For $100, you get a whole laundry list of stuff! It was great, we didn't have to pull out our wallets again the rest of the day. Check it out, it's well worth it. Also a time saving tip: If the lines are long out front, go to the VIP house and inquire about VIP tix. Then decline and ask to buy regular tix there. 2 ppl in front of me did that and probably saved a bunch of time waiting in the regular tix line.
jamesdillaman Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 ^ Great, now the VIP line will be long -James "So many parks I need to get to" Dillaman
pvcoasterguy Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 ^^ Uh... I don't think so. Probably less than .01% of the people who go to Great Adventure on a given day would have read this.
noyzz Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Wow the park was crazy packed! I hope it won't be like that in October? Do you guys know if the frequent user cards are good at all the parks for the Flash Pass?
gmoney422 Posted August 23, 2006 Author Posted August 23, 2006 Not sure what that is, but I think it will be crowded in October due to the fact that the park is only open Fri nite, Sat and Sun, FF will be going on. But you never know.

DATman Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Was it still taking them 4+ mins. to load each El Toro train?? They were so terrible with that when I was there. Sometimes it would take them almost 10 minutes, depending on how many people couldn't fit. It's too bad that such a great ride has such terrible operations...

Because when it opened and for a week or two the crew was still trying to get everything down to perfection. Now they are great at it.
gmoney422 Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 We went on ET 3 times, and they were doing a great job! It was the passengers that were holding everything up. Cmon, how do you not take your fanny pack off on a ride like ET...idiots!!!
