Just letting you know. I found a bunch of your photos on another website with the watermarks and the people removed. -
The Santa CLAW! Live Claw Machine - Crane Game!
Chroniq replied to Skramp's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Traincrossin.. That is a GREAT trip report.. Stuff like that is what really separates TPR from the random roller coaster sites. Thanks for taking the 50 minute walk and thanks for the awesome photos and report. -

Great pics.. I really enjoyed them. As others have mentioned though, the watermarks are intrusive and you should probably recalibrate your white point. Just my opinion, but Universal is photographed so frequently that photo theft is unlikely and the likely hood of actually selling these is minimal. At the TPR specified 800x600 they can't be used for any commercial use other than reposting on websites, so I'd just remove the watermarks and post them unprocessed. TPR's Ever Evolving Park Index

I vote for choice 3 and it isn't displaying correctly on my android phone.. Seriously though, looks sick.. Can we get a real link and not a screen cap? -
WDW Magic Kingdom vs. Disneyland Questions
Chroniq replied to OISU8P's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This person has never been to Disney World. .. My advice- Go once and see what you think. It's a completely different experience than WDW. If you go with the mindset that is isn't comparable (resort/size/scope/friendliness wise) to WDW you will have a great time. -
If you talked your way into riding it and you rode it, no matter what the outcome or the size, its a credit...

New TPR Header Logo
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The voting #4 choice and the actual header posted are slightly different, no? Looks like some colors were adjusted and the tagline was resized and moved color adjusted and sharpened? (or I'm just losing my mind). Edited for clarity..= I'm comparing the #4 choice on page one and the header and the forum that you can now see. Looks even better know. -

New TPR Header Logo...
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
LOL.. Stop hating on the gadzoox font Wes.. I use that in all of my formal writing. Colorwise- I just think the outline of theme park review should be a different color then the tag line or no outline is even needed. -
New TPR Header Logo...
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm looking at the two different logos on three computers and I have to say I can't really tell the difference between the greens..I'd just keep the outline a different color then the tagline... Maybe I'm neon green color blind.. Would explain my sneakers. -
New TPR Header Logo...
Chroniq replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes.. This represents the spirit of TPR AMAZINGLY.. I vote keep it.. Another good idea would be a random header logo with different quotes including " if you don't have a sense of humor, or are easily offended, please turn back now!" Edited to say- I agree with coaster guy.. tweak the outline color. -
The Official TPR Bag of Crap Thread!

Today I received a call at work from my wife. She seemed excited and I could tell in her voice that she had something important to share. Did we win the lottery ? Was she pregnant? Did someone drop off a pallet of four loko at our house? Nope.. It's much more life changing then all of those things.. TPR MEGA BOX OF CRAP (IAAPA THEMED). Inside the box (some assembly required)- Ephemera (I've been looking for a chance to use that word) Includes Gerstlauer Product Catalog Mondial Product Catalog Mack Product Catalog Proslide Product Catalog Moser Rides Product Catalog Gravity Group FIreball Information Card Gravity Group Timberliner Information Card Intamin Product Catalog GCI Product Catalog The huge blueprinteque map of the trade show floor (seen as the top item in the pics) The 300+ plus page IAAPA Program Xpress News letter (this is really cool, I need to scam my way into a subscription of this) Non Paper Products Vekoma Polo- They can't even make a polo correctly.. The logo matches the shirt color.. A common rookie tradeshow mistake. Intamin Lanyard- Posted on ebay for a starting bid of 1000 dollars (just kidding) Amusement Today Luggage Identifier GCI Canvas Tote Bag. So this, clearly, made my day. I encourage everyone to stalk Robb and Elissa when they go on trips and sharpen up their prince desmond photoshop skills. As you can see above, it's definitely worth it to participate in contests. -
Off Topic, but Big Mike & Mrs. Big Mike when will we see a TPR Wedding Trip Report?

Non Destructive Testing on ride welds
Chroniq replied to Anything's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Although I have absolutely no experience in NDT or welding, I believe the answer is that they ship the item back to the manufacturer (or send a team to the site) and the manufacturer either rewelds to spec or replaces the item. This is done for two reasons. 1- Insurance- Major theme parks must operate a ride with verification of safety and quality from the manufacturer. 2. Liability-Most theme parks don't have maintenance staff that are able to weld to manufacturer specs. For older rides or fly by night operators, I'm sure they just re-weld and cross their fingers. -

Seconded.. but it does make for some pretty photos.
