  1. Good pics, Joe. I never get to see much of that park, so it was a change of pace. Quite a shame Raging Bull let you down, though. It's the only stateside B&M hyper I've yet to ride, but your report doesn't make me wanna rush out to it anytime soon. By the way, that was the park Mr. PR moved to, right? If so, then indeed that was a promotion.
  2. Joe, how did you ever survive without a $12.00 slice of pizza?
  3. "Tin Cup Chalice" - Jimmy Buffett
  4. Well, it was time for a change. His yacht's been on here for quite awhile, so it was time to take to the air instead.
  5. Who ever said sense was common?
  6. Well, like it says in the post title.....some of us like to use our brains. Scott "it's nice to know who you can trust" B.
  7. ^ Amen to that. We'll just have to weather the storm of stupidity for another week or so, probably.
  8. ^ Would the Xanttans approve of that answer? Or maybe that thread didn't qualify as hypothetical to you?
  9. I've always been fond of Hulk at night. Thank you, Joel Styer.
  10. Derek, I'm curious....what kind of battery life does one of those things have?
  11. You and a person you love deeply are placed in separate rooms with a button next to each of you. You know that you will both be killed unless one of you presses your button before 60 minutes pass; furthermore, the first to press the button will save the other person, but will immediately be killed. What do you think you would do?
  12. "Numb/Encore" - Jay-Z & Linkin Park
  13. ^ Had a feeling that may happen. Did a couple searches, but found nothing. Guess it wasn't thorough enough, huh? Oh well, no sweat if it's locked.
  14. Okay, I figured since we've already got a sexual orientation thread on here, religion deserves a fair shot, huh? Obviously, this could start a real firestorm of arguments, so let's agree to respect each other's beliefs and keep things civil, okay? The poll and thread are only meant to be a barometer for what the membership is made up of. Good natured debates are welcome (such as the DaVinci Code, etc.), but I'm sure the mods would appreciate a fair game without having to edit, delete, or even locking this one altogether. After you vote, feel free to elaborate on your beliefs if you so choose.
  15. True, if they were going anytime from August thru October (even though hurricane season officially starts in June). And I would agree with what most of the rest of the folks have said about staying on property....skip it. That deal you mentioned probably sets you up in the low end Disney joints (the name escapes me right this minute), and while not bad accomodations, you'd be better off staying at Universal in my opinion. Barry laid it out pretty good for you. I think it just comes down to yours and your family's personal preference as to what you're looking forward to more. Since you're from SoCal, I'd think that Disney wouldn't have too much more to offer that you haven't already experienced (minus EE, M:S, RNRC, etc.), whereas IOA will blow you away if you've never experienced it. And if you can use your Universal room key as Barry suggested, that may be of more interest to you if you end up liking the thrills of Universal as compared to Disney. If it were up to me, I'd lean heavily towards Universal. Good luck with your choice...but you'll enjoy it either way!
  16. Well, at least the straight and single guys in here, water. I think I'll stick with my wife. No offense, Nicole. Anyway, good pics guys.
  17. I can't help but get the feeling that if someone told Black Mamba about Expedition:Everest, it would have to try really hard to stop from laughing at it. Black Mamba: "They spent how much on a scenic Vekoma?" But that's just my opinion....I could be wrong.
  18. Being the steel fan that I am, it's sounds strange hearing myself say this, but here goes. After closer inspection of the site, and now knowing the track (decoy conspiracy theories aside) is gonna be bright red, I can't help but think the Point fumbled the ball again on this one. What a golden opportunity missed to put up an incredible GCI themed to the old west and named "Maverick." They could have even blown up Mean Streak with some old fashioned dynamite for the Media Day festivities. Oh, well.
  19. ^ We should probably call this one a draw. I know I've read countless books on the man, and could debate this one for hours, but we shouldn't spam this one up for everyone. It's time to hear who everyone else wants to have dinner with. shepp, my hats off to you for some good banter on the subject. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on ole uncle Walt, huh? By the way, how did Jim Baker ever make his way into this? Scott "Walt thought up Mickey, Ub drew him" B.
  20. The fact that he was originally anti-union is about the only thing credible there, IMHO. Funny though, because you forgot to mention he was also an astronaut, the NFL's leading rusher, Canada's Prime Minister, the first man to travel to the center of the earth, and he had the ability to time travel. Interesting how one man found the spare time to accomplish so much while building the greatest family-focused entertainment empire on the planet. By the way, Tallulah sounds like a wonderful person as well. As qouted from a tribute website devoted to the actress: "Possessed of a tremendous energy level, very few people could keep up with her. She smoked over one hundred cigarettes per day, drank gin and bourbon like they were water, and carried a suitcase-full of drugs to help her sleep, stay awake and just function in general. She reportedly engaged in hundreds of affairs with both men and women. Her biting wit, salty language and outlandish behavior – like the propensity for taking off her clothes at the drop of a hat – shocked and outraged everyone." home.hiwaay.net/~oliver/tbintro.htm I still like ya, Shepp. At least your mind is always at work...I can appreciate that. Scott "Propaganda books make me laugh" B.
  21. Did Shapiro make that in his spare time? That's good comedy.
  22. After my first ride on KK, the guy sitting next to me had his in the corner of his eyes. I've always wondered what percentage of contact wearers actually had problems with TTD and KK? I guess as of now, it's 50% huh?
  23. I'm gonna say about the same percentage of Hollister-wearing white kids from the 'burbs that have actually been to the beach or have even seen a surfboard.... Most would probably think Marcus Garvey was batting clean-up for the Yankees, and Haile Selassie was some kind of food on a european menu.
  24. Well, naturally. But since I'm not a Rastafarian, and I'm not down with the hippie lettuce.....it looks like I'm stuck with Red Stripe (not that there's anything wrong with that ). Anyway, rock on, my brother....and long live Bob!
  25. "Easy Skanking" - Bob Marley
