Whats your favorite Vekoma?
BeemerBoy replied to Neogreeneyez's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I don't seem to remember much chaotic about it though. In fact, I've seen moving sidewalks better than that thing. But hey, at least I agree with Rock'n Roller Coaster though. -
I concur. Second only to GASM @ SFOG....well the sharp stop, at least.

^ I suppose so.

Mine is my drunk mom....no wait...my mom holding me at WDW circa 1976. And we may have seen Wes's octopus later that night in the Seven Seas Lagoon while watching the Electrical Parade on water (or whatever they called it) from our room.

Judging from all the track pics I've seen thus far, it would appear to be the world's largest vertical loop. Seriously, have they delivered a straight piece yet? -

^ Yep, I knew I should've posted that sarcasm disclaimer. I'm sure some folks will get the joke...right? -

That's good stuff. It's a wonder she didn't bite her toungue off though. And how long was that lift hill anyway? It seemed like it was the half the ride. -

At Rumblefest, I got all the answers to all your questions... as you can clearly see in this photo. I swore not to tell anything though. -
Dania Beach Hurricane
BeemerBoy replied to thefitness's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, it'll be running up until midnight. It's been a while since I've been there, but I'm sure since school is out, there'll be some good package deals to get in, play unlimited video games, and get unlimited rides. Either that or just get the $10 band for unlimited rides, and you're golden! Enjoy. -

^ Amen to that! While we're on the subject, does anyone know what the deal is with the company that made it (Coaster Works, Inc.)? I see where the only other coaster they built was relocated from Pigeon Forge and is currently SBNO, but I've never heard anything else from these guys since. I've been singing the praises of the DBH for years, and it's ashame that most people don't make it below Orlando to experience it. Maybe R&E's newest DVD will shed some light on it and give it the attention it deserves. Scott "Not afraid to be the board's official DBH fanboy" B. -
^^Wait! You mean Taco Bell's not real Mexican, and Outback's not real Aussie? Damn. Now why didn't someone tell me these things years ago. Hey, I just dig Outback's menu a little more, that's all. And Joe's Crab Shack....eh, I was just throwing out a major chain name, that's all. Chart House or Legal Seafoods is the place to be for good chain restaurant seafood. ^ And yeah, Wes. That's the stuff I'm talkin' about. Some of the best Italian places I've ever eaten at always gave me that feeling that I should just walk in, sit down, order, eat, and never make eye contact with anyone. If I have the time, I'll always hunt down the out-of-way local joints for the best food. I'll keep Villa Sorento in mind the next time I'm out that way. Thanks.

How about a poll on this one? Let's see....Carrabba's, Chili's Bar and Grill, Joe's Crab Shack, Outback Steakhouse, Macaroni Grill, etc. in a steel cage death match? Just a thought.

^Yeah, no kidding. I had to put a kidney on Ebay for these seats. Okay, well maybe not really...I had a friend in the .406 club who I scored the tickets from. But had I bought 'em, the kidney thing would've been the only way considering the Yanks were in town playing on ESPN sunday night baseball. Still may have been worth it though. -
Hey guys I'm new!! (SFGAdv Questions)
BeemerBoy replied to n00b's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Nope. It it was unsafe in any way, it wouldn't have been built in the first place. In fact, those may be the most comfortable, yet thrilling restraints ever created. Seriously, step up to the challenge and try 'em out...all us us here are rooting for ya. -
^I believe you are correct. If I remember right, OSI acquired Carrabba's, but I could be mistaken.
-
I'm gonna back you up on this one, although I wouldn't go so far as to say Mickey D's, or express any hatred towards it. Any restaurant that has "Italian Ristorante", "Italian Grille", "Italian Food", "Italian Eatery", etc. etc. in the title is NOT real Italian food. If I had to pick one of the mass marketed chains....I'd give the nod to Outback. But that's just my humble opinion as well. To each his own though.

^^ I think the New England states are actually owned by Dunkin Donuts. No proof on that....just a hunch.

You should be able to get that POV. Just ask first, they've always been pretty cool about it. Enjoy it. It's the best wood south of Dollywood.
