  1. I second this. The motion of the ride reminded me of Transformers at USH.
  2. I liked elecTRONica, then it got stale. Then came along Mad-Tea Party, it also got stale (same songs every time). They got rid of it for the Frozen-fail, then Mad-Tea came back with some newer songs, then it got stale again. Seeing a pattern? I'm pretty sure once Food and Wine ends on May 1st, they will bring back Mad-Tea Party in time for the new Alice In Wonderland movie.
  3. What an awesome TR! I would kill to do this park with TPR.
  4. Yeah, I take offense to that. I'm a god damn local treasure.
  5. This is going to be a must ride for me. I can see a lot of miles getting put on my car in the next year
  6. oh no she didn't... Why yes, yes she did. Just a heads up. The re-track might not be rough enough for you
  7. That would be a terrible waste of vodka. I was under the impression that I'd be drinking it out of a sippy-cup, while riding.
  8. I'm looking forward to riding Ghost Rider! That, and Robb on both legs! Maybe I'll get a ride on that too
  9. I'm attending NAMM across the street from the resort this week. I'm hoping to pop in for a couple Hyperspace Mountain rides, but definitely going for cocktails at Trader Sam's Thursday evening. If you see me, say hi.
  10. I'm right there with you on all points. I already told my son that we might have to camp out before opening day to make sure we're on the first train. And if Robb can't make it out, I'm 100% down to do the media stuff for it too. Hopefully I can get the time off work to do the same.
  11. Definitely. Either bring back the Peoplemover somehow or get rid of the eyesore that is the old track. And move Astro Orbiter out of the entrance.
  12. In certain parts of the park. Drop Tower is 224′
  13. if you're also keen to it, this wine tasting tour takes place on a boat and they take you out under the bridges, around Alcatraz, etc. It's really fun, plus, alcohol! http://www.sanfranciscobayboatcruise.com/wine-tasting-on-the-bay/
  14. Exactly! I can't help but laugh at all the, "I won't support the parks changing what Walt did." Well first of all, the Railroad was altered back in the day, so it's not Walt's original design. Big Thunder Ranch was added 12 years after Walt's death. Do they really think people will pay big money on a family vacation to visit a dated park that was opened in the freakin 50's?! It looks to me like they're going to use some of the old Rainbow Ridge area. I bet the fan boys and girls will back peddle on their negative reactions if that ends up to be true.
  15. I'm curious... Did you expect something different?
  16. But then we wont get night rides during Haunt. I know, its usually down for refurb during Haunt, but here's to hoping its open. s
  17. I've seen this done in parks, shoot, I've seen this done in Vegas with those whalebone cups!
  18. This could turn out to be interesting...I mean, Cedar Fair has right of first refusal but what if the NFL/9ners drive the price up too high? They have their long term lease, but if someone buys the land from under them... Right now their only saving grace is their ability to hold big special events (The Superbowl this year, WrestleMania, concerts, etc). The park is a veritable ghost town during 49'er games due to the way the team is playing. This is what the stadium looked like yesterday... 2 years removed from an ‪NFC Championship‬ game, and 3 years removed from a ‪Superbowl‬ appearance.

  20. It looks like the land that the park resides on is up for sale http://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/news/2015/12/15/want-to-own-great-america-land-massive-santa-clara.html
