  1. Just make sure there is a spare room for me and my Geisha girls. I do want to take the time to really thank Robb, Elissa, and the rest of the TPR crew for putting this awesome event together. I can only imagine what kind of time and effort an event of this size takes. Nothing beats WCB! Thank you to the parks, too!
  2. The important stuff, tentatively: Parking lot at SFMM reportedly opens at 7 on Saturday. Check in should start ~7:30 given that the park opens (for us) at 0830. Park opens at 1030 to public. Park closes at 2000, we get the park to ourselves from 2000-2400. KBF check in may be harder to guess depending on if there are events in the morning before ERT. Beyond that, worst case, you'll find out when you get there! According to the SFMM site, the park actually closes publically at 6pm (18:00 PDT) on the 11th. That would put the buy out end at 10pm (22:00 PDT), depending on how fast they filter out the public. If it's like last years evening ERT, they will close off the entrances to the rides, bleeding the queue of already waiting GP, while letting us through with our credentials (wristbands). According to Knott's website, the park closes to the public at 7pm (19:00 PDT) the following day.
  3. I've not been to GCA, but I am simply shocked to hear about their out in the open stations! Hopefully that's a little something that CF works on at this park over time, as I know it's something that I would certainly be looking into if I were them! Doubt this will happen. It's going to take a lot of money in re-zoning, permits, construction, etc.
  4. Nah, I just got a great deal, I booked it a while back through Groupon. I think KBFH usually goes for $100-$120/night with no discounts. Still worth it for the convenience of being able to walk back to your room from the park. I used to do the same thing with Hilton Garden Inn at Magic Mountain, but now they're wanting $150-200/night so it's no longer worth it. Now you can find that hotel on the HotelTonight app for $120. If you want to use my code for $25 bucks off that, its "RREYNOSO".
  5. Every time I pass that place, I picture if filled with Guy Fieri's. I think we might venture out Sunday night to grab some cocktails at Johnny's Saloon in Huntington Beach.
  6. I met up with my friend tonight (I brought him last year to WCB and that was the first time he's been on a coaster in 20 years!), we are going to try to hit up Trader Sam's after SFMM, if anyone wants to meet up. We can't wait to hit the parks again this year with all of you!

I used to do the same thing with Hilton Garden Inn at Magic Mountain, but now they're wanting $150-200/night so it's no longer worth it. I grabbed two beds at the Best Western across the way through hotels.com for around $120. If I had pulled the trigger when the WCB announcement was made, I could have had the Hilton Garden for $100 I really lucked out booking at Sat and Sun night at the Anabella. I've stayed there so frequently, they gave me Saturday night for free.
  8. Did anyone see the new VR haunt experience at CGA this year? https://www.cagreatamerica.com/haunt/ride/Fear-VR-5150/cat/Experiences So looks like there is this, and the separate skeleton key rooms are what's new for us this year. What do you all think?
  9. This! No more waving to him on the bridge from the trains. This year, we get actual Robb "wheee"'s
  10. To be honest, they can really do whatever they want with that land. If they wanted to install a superloop, and use the land expansion around it to build facilities to tie in to the attraction, then they will. It's best to go in with zero expectations.
  11. You are all ignoring the fact that we get an upright, and walking Robb this year!
  12. Front row of the back car. Anyone who ever complains about an Arrow (or even a Vekoma) looper, I tell them to ride that seat. Makes all the difference. I can't tell you why, I just know that Viper goes from being an absolutely horrible ride to actually a LOT of fun in that row! This sage piece of advice is the only reason I like riding Viper!
  13. Morning ERT cocktails, post morning ERT cocktails, nap cocktails, etc.
  14. I am very much looking to finishing off WCB Sunday night with several consecutive night rides on Ghost Rider. I hope I'm still upright at that point. With SFMM ERT going until midnight on Saturday night, if KBF check in is close to what it was last year (6:30am) that means like 4 hours of sleep if I'm lucky. Welp, that's what NoDoz is for, and thats one reason I'm staying at KBF Hotel - easy access to take an afternoon nap in between events if I need to. I'm with you on that. I had a free night's stay at the Anabella, so I chose that over Knotts Hotel. Still close enough for us to take a post 'morning ERT' cocktail, and nap back at the hotel. Just a reminder for everyone else concerned..
  15. Exactly. More revenue, more budget, more awesomeness! The key rooms have been lots of trial and error. Before, when they were integrated into the maze layout, it really took you out of the maze's element. You would have to find the employee, show your key, then wait for your turn. Then they started to put the rooms in the beginning of the maze to help tell the mazes story. Was it better? Sure. Did it help with crowd control and lines? Not really... With the rooms separated from the mazes all together, it should assist with line backup, and general maze traffic. I hope it streamlines the experience, and adds to the overall haunt. Let's hope the escape rooms are better than the 2nd year of Trapped.
