  1. Peter Davis' Camping & Coasters --------------------------------------- Fantastic video! Choice of song was fantastic in my opinion, and the footage was FANTASTIC. However, the quality of the footage was kinda "Eh"(part because the video had ot be scaled down to size so it can be uploaded, and part because some shots were taken form bad places(with a tree in the way, or the coaster appeared dark, etc.). But overall a really grea,t fun video, tha tput a big smile on my face! Adam Roth's Theme Park Entry 2006 ------------------------------------------- Ha ha! Awesome video! I really enjoyed it. Especially he vids of Ryan tryign to pound everyboyd. However I think that hte opening and credits music was a little on the anticlimatic side. But overall an awesome vid. Matt Jacob's Indiana Beach -------------------------------- Awesome video, hwoever I already saw it so my enthusiasm has probably been cut down to size by now. I don't know how much that song says "Indiana Beach", nor am I sure you really got a whole lot of the park's atmosphere in the vid(though in your defense, an atmosphere like IB's is hard to catch on video), but overall this was a good, fun video Jordan Ryle's Disneyland ------------------------------ Good video. However, while I am very much a "people having fun" video fan as oppposed to "Strictly coaster footage", I think you forgot that htis is after all a coaster video contest nad there were almost no rides shown in this video, mostly just people who are on rides. Fam Andreen's Europa Park -------------------------------- Eh... The footage was alright but with a park like Europa park I think ti could've been more thrilling. Plus, I seriously do not get the correlation between the slow-paced, mushy, 80's madonna music and a modern thill riding amusement park.
  2. You guys don't have Kinley Lemon over there? O_o Strange. though yeah, we have lots of weird fanta flavours here. Like Shokata, and I think nobody knows what the f*** Shokata is. Though WTF is Krest Gingerale? I don't think I ever saw that. Great Tr, Wes! Viva Las Vegas!
  3. Let me know when the spoilers end.
  4. Well, instead of the train facing down, like it would while doing a half loop, it would be facing the camera or away from it, plus, that way you can make turns that don't go as far up or as far down as the minimum height that would be required for a half-loop.
  5. Cody's Tatsu vid - This video was pretty good but nothing special in my opinoin except the quality of the shots. But it focuse don only one ride, and only random offirde shots. I know this is hte kidn of vid that appeals to many coaster fans, I'm just not one of them. Matthew's SFGADV vid - I am sorry but I can't help but be a little harsh on my review here because I rather disliked this video. The music is tragically overdone, whenever someone in the video talked you couldn't hear a thing over the music, some shots would've been better off if the sound had been edited out of them(such as midway shots where some other song was playing in the background), there was no synchornization between the video and the music, as if you first made the video and only then added the music, and the video ended before the song did. I am sorry that my review is this negative but the only redeeming quality of this video was that it had some interesting shots, like the looping starship actually working or kingda ka through the fog. Ryan's Disneyland - This was a pretty good video. I am a sucker for widescreens. Many shots were good, hwoever the few shots you had of actual people enjoying hteir time int he aprk came rather late int he video and were also kinda mediocre(someone putting their sunglasses on... some dude with an unexplained creepy expression next to the golden gate bridge, and some people with a "hm. that's cool." face on a ride. But overall a good show.(Also, I think the song mightve been too California screaming themed but maybe that's just me) Jimmybo's Port Aventura - I think you had some FANTASTIC footage, however, despite beign a fan of Mika, I thinkt he choice of song was all wrong. With fast paced, extreme, great fototage liek that yous houldve sued a much more pwoerful song with an "OOMF". It was just weird seeing allt hose fast paced shots of people goign crazy on Stmapida while the song slowly goes "Tum ta da di da di..." Also, I am not a fan of putting stills in videos but you made it look okay. But overalla great video. Justin's Dollywood/SFOG - FANTASTIC video! Defiantely this week's best! Perfect synchronization, and the second the beat started and the vids faded in and out of black it relaly pulled me into the groove of the video. Fantastic footage. Even ebtter editing, this is a great vid.
  6. Wish I could buy those dippin' dots...
  7. I think there should be an option to have turns without going upside down. That way you can make wooden coasters, too.
  8. ^Yes, I mentioned that, but why the rolleyes?
  9. where you set how banked the track is under "bank start" and "bank end" you have an option between smooth, linear, and cont.(which is what you want, assuming you mean NL's cont. roll button)
  10. theres a smooth button in SM, too. its on the left side of the screen. theres even a couple more buttons such as linear, which NL doesnt hazve(though im not surfe what it does) and my coasters arent that smooth compared to what other people make
  11. ^^Thank you! I am glad you liked it and that blule thunder caught you by surprise. ^Please do!
  12. Wow! That looks super cool! I'd love to see hwo this game progresses! Keep it up! also, it doesnt look like you have any problems in that department, but if you need any help on the graphics just let me know
  13. ^^Well, NL is alot more realistic. the grpahics are better, sounds are beter, and SM doesn't tell you hwo much Gs the coaster pulls, it just shows a color meter(for example, killer Gs are in red) On the other hand, SM has a much much wider variety of coasters you can build(including types like 4D and suspended), and a much friendlier transition between editor and the program in which you ride the rides. in SM theyre both the same program. Also, in SM you can build several coasters in one park, and have different kinds of stations. the editor also has a couple other benefits that the NL editor doesn't have, such as beging able to decide at what point in a segemnt does the banking start/end. Or being able to lock a track point in it's place so you can change the length of the little axis thingies without changing the angle the track is pointing in and abunch of other stuf fNL doesn't have. Basically I think both games are equally good. EDIT - oh and I forgot to mention, you can make different coasters be syncornized(so you can race them), and you cna put music on rides
  14. I think that one of Scream Machine's best features, which sets it apart from other games, is the ability to build several coasters in one park, and ironically, it is hardly ever used. So here is my park: Perplexity Peak! Featuring 4 thrill machines for everyone to enjoy. I actually built it several years ago but I always thought of making it bigger. eventually I decided to upload what I already have. Fuego Mine Train -------------------- This was a challenge to myself - build a mine train coaster that is only a single downhill slope, no uphill sections, and still make it fun and interesting. Delirium --------- A B&M standup, the park's main thrill machine. starts off very state-of-the-art and then goes a little crazy. Panic! ------ A family wild mouse coaster for all visitors to enjoy. Blue Thunder ------------- This was another challenge for myself - build a full circuit corksrcew coaster with an interesting twist. Please tell me what you think! Perplex.zip The Park Panic! And Delirium doing their little dance. Three of the coasters in perplexity peak
  15. ^Huh? What? There actually was coaster talk?!
  16. Whoa... Flashback. I think I've seen this restaurant on TV yeeears ago. Does that make sense or is this a new restaurant?
  17. Uhm... That outdoor pipeline porotype is the onew e all know and love, but what hte heck was the deal with that indoor version? I've never seen it before, and that thing was FLYING thorugh those elements, probably pulling insane Gs in illogical directions! Anyone got more info on it?
  18. ^If she does, that would probably be one of the awsomest things on the face of the earth. Tomi "Eric, you better sneak a video camera into the auditorium just in case she actually does" Zandshtein.
  19. ^Thanks for the tip! Maybe now I'll dare to ride the ones at my home park again!
  20. Hurray! Video contest entries! Let me rate them in the order in which I viewed them: Pam & Brian Kanal's Knoebel's PPP ---------------------------------------- The video was very nice, with some really good footage, and I liked how it showed the fun and atmosphere of the park. However, I wasn't a big fan of the music(that's just me, though) and I think it could've used a little more actual rollercoaster footage. Dave Thomas' UK Randomness ------------------------------------ Fantastic video! I loved it! It was fun, funny, and had a great balance of quality coaster footage and just people-having-fun footage. It was really funny(I'm A tree! With a camera!) and while it kind of really broke the flow that you "quit to commercials" in the middle, it was worthit because it was funny. Good job! Kevin Aglione's Cedar Point --------------------------------- Very good video, I liked the way you decided to start it off all slow motiony and the music actually fit. especially seeing millennium force geting airitme in slow motion. however very early on in the video some shots broke the flow - anyone who's been to CP knows that when youre arriving to the park you drive around it clockwise, so seeing those shots that were taken while going counter-clockwise kinda made me think "What, the video hasn't started yet, and he's already leaving?" I like the use of a wide angle lens. though at some point the same close-up footage of rides jsut became a little lackluster commpared to the beginning of the video which was exciting. I liked the syncing you did between the song and Maverick going into the turn at the black and white section. Darren Bailey's TPR Midwest Trip -------------------------------------- WOOHOO! MIDWEST TRIP! Alright, so while I'm naturally biased, because I was on the trip, I really love this video, and it quite possibly got me to start liking "crazy train". I have seen this video before, but it still splashed a giant smile on my face with all of the crazy and good and crazy good footage. Only complaint is that it's too R rated. I was looking for midwest trip vids to show my dad, so I showed him this one without really remembering what's in it, and it's basically an "everybody humps random things and Chuck" vid. Barry Hom's Alton Towers Video ------------------------------------- ROFL! Very cool video! At first I didnt know if I like the music bu it gre on me. There was some very nice quality footage there, though I think you used some of the strongest footage at the end when the music was dying, which I think wasn't a smart move. You stalking Elissa constanly and everybody bodyguarding her was both hillarious(at some point I was more on the lookout for elissa shots than coaster shots) though it also made me feel a little sorry for her XD but I like this vid alot, overall!
  21. Mmm... Coaster expedition 10... That has sucha beautiful ring to it, don't you agree? Heheh, awesome video, I love the "Caseyzilla attacks tokyo" bit. "Raaawwwr" -"Punt!" *Ryan just stares in dismay at the collapsed tower* I was really looking forward to trying white castle on the trip. I knew I might not like it because I was warned it's a taste you have to grow up on. Anyhow, luckily for me i entered the white castle on the trip a little late, so people already ordered their burgers. so I just mooched ne off of Max. And it was very very bad. I don't know what that thng was but that was not a bruger patty.
  22. ^HOly #@$%!!! That looks like the waterslides at the local waterpark, only taller and steeper! The ones over here give a wedgie from hell, I can't imagine how painful thos emust be!
  23. Fantastic pictures, Will! You really managed to capture the ufn and exictment of the racer! I love that first pic you took of me in the handslapping action part, it looks great! Keep it up! You're almost through!
