  1. You've missed the point, but I'll answer your questions anyway. Yes, I've ridden Cannibal. I do not have a high coaster count so the only even remotely similar element I've experienced on another coaster is that "dive loop" on Manhattan Express, which is by far the absolute worst thing I've ever experienced on any coaster, Cannibal's "Immelmann-like" element is great so there's no comparison. (btw, the point was, what difference does it make in your life how RCDB lists Lagoon's coasters?) I enjoy statistics and facts, as they don't lie or change on you. It annoys me that Dal Freeman isn't getting his Due Credit for many Arrow Coasters, Wicked, BomBora, and Cannibal, Dustin Allen isn't getting his Due Credit for BomBora and Cannibal, Arron Jarret isn't getting his Due Credit for Cannibal, and Lagoon and it's Ownership and Management their Due Credit for Pulling it all off In House. I'm also very detail oriented with maybe a little OCD sprinkled on top.
  2. Yup. And the "it's going to China" part wasn't inaccurate either, I was told. It appeared as though a segment was full throttleish. I don't have a zoom lens on my phone. The Bright Blue Track that was in the yard a year ago still hasn't popped up, but the Green Track for Zombie Ride did.
  3. I guess this is where the Orange Track down in the yard at Intermountain Lift is going.
  4. I've never experienced an Immelmann Inversion that wasn't quick in it's Entrance or with such a Steep pullout. The best way to describe it is you are waiting to invert.......then you get hang time while you invert while steeply diving towards the ground in a split second. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced on any other coaster or on any other Immelmann Inversion. It's like a drawn out very stretched out and tall loop with a steep heartline roll IN the pull out. I've never had sensory overload on a coaster and such disorientation since Maverick, and not to the extent of Cannibal. Have you ridden Cannibal yet Luke? How else would you describe the difference from your experiences on every other "Immelmann-like" Inversion?
  5. People don't call it anything. The experience is very different than an Immelmann Inversion, however, the Fun & Safety Guide does refer to it as "an Immelmann-like Loop" and "Switchback Rolls," instead of Inverted Loop and Lagoon Roll. Again, those who have ridden Cannibal can attest that an Inverted Loop is different than an Immelmann Inversion....it's Totally F'd Up! Dal Freeman, Dustin Allen, and Aaron Jarrett should be locked up in an Asylum for Cannibal.
  6. I don't know why but I have a small feeling that we could get something like Thunderbird. If we are all throwing out predictions, I see either a ZIERER Tower Coaster, Gerstlauer Euro Fighter, or a Premier Launched Coaster, possibly a Superman Clone. There's currently Orange Track in the Yard at Intermountain Lift, but it looks like it's for the Full Throttleish Clone going to China.
  7. It's like the beginning of Ellen show when people win. We play it in line for Cannibal. People around us seem to really enjoy watching.
  8. Cannibal's Inverted Loop is VERY Different than an Immelmann Inversion. While they may look similar in nature, when you ride it, you see the difference. I also don't know why RCDB Insists the Overbanked Turn/Immelmann Turn is an Inversion. Of course, trying to get RCDB to change anything is like banging your head against a brick wall. I have no idea why they still won't change Fire Dragon's Opening Year from 1984 to the Correct Year of 1983, when they have been supplied with Lagoon's Press Packet and Newspaper Articles. The same also goes for BomBora, as in numerous articles it is stated that Lagoon Designed it, not ART Engineering. By their reasoning, every Intamin should have Stakotra and/or Rutin as their Make.
  9. Don't. There is no Cannibal here. It's all a ploy by thMESSAGE REDACTED BY THE UTAH STATE GOVERNMENT Any government redaction would be at the order of the LDS Church, since there is no such thing as separation of church and state in Utah State Government.
  10. People who insist Lagoon has long wait times (Not Including Cannibal). I'm sorry, but on a Busy Saturday, 15-20 Minutes for Fire Dragon in 2 Train Mode, 20-30 for Roller in 2 Train Mode, and 40-45 for Wicked in 5 Train Mode is NOT a Long Wait.
  11. There are also Hydraulic Locks as well. You can actually see the Hydraulic Fluid flowing when the Lap Trays are released from row 3. It also sounded like there were on board Hydraulic Pumps, not to mention I'm curious about the Proximity Switches on the Trains themselves.
  12. The Inverted Loop is just so Wrong it's Awesome! By the time you think, "when are we going to Invert?" BAM! You Invert immediately in the Dive! Did you get an after dark Ride?
  13. At Lagoon, the Green and Pink Trains on Wild Mouse do Travel Faster than the Blue, Yellow, and Maroon Trains and the Blue Train on Fire Dragon Runs Faster than Green and Red, when they are Empty, so it could be possible. If I hadn't operated these Coasters myself, I wouldn't believe such a thing, but the PLC and Timers don't Lie.
  14. There won't won't ever be another Coaster built like it, which just makes Cannibal that much more Insane!
  15. The Super Fast Vertical Elevator Lift on Cannibal and also how you keep waiting to Invert in the Inverted Loop, and as soon as you are like, we're upside down, you are diving down. It's like, wtf just happened to me.
  16. ALL of Cannibal is just Crazy and Different, especially the Super Fast Vertical Elevator Lift, Inverted Loop, and Lagoon Roll.
  17. One of those guys told Lagoon's Management that Cannibal was better than Fury 325.
  18. As far as I know, Lake Compounce hasn't Ridden Wicked, however, the Kennywood Operations Team and Lagoon's were pretty darn tight many years ago when I worked there. I do know people from Kennywood and a park in Japan visited Lagoon to Ride Wicked in 2007. And it shows...watch a POV of Sky Rocket and Wicked back to back and tell me the former wasn't at least partially inspired by the latter, especially with the first halves of both rides. Yeah, Sky Rocket looked like Wicked from the Very Beginning. The first half has basically the same Elements, except Sky Rocket is Banked to the Right up into the Safety's.
  19. Since Stakotra Builds Intamin's Trains, it would make sense the Restraints would be the same.
  20. I also know Knoebel's and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk visited Lagoon in 2012, and both took a gander at Wicked and Spider.
  21. Cannibal is INSANE and Fast Paced. You only get a few seconds to think about what just happened to you. The Ride Delivers Beginning to End, and the LapTrays and Trains are amazingly comfortable. Don't even bother riding Cannibal if you don't intend to Ride After Dark, because the ride is off the hook!
  22. Ummm, every HUSS Enterprise I've ridden does this, including the one I operated. I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure if Ed thought something was unsafe he'd do something about it. Also while I'm talking about Enterprise... Just a note: If your a smaller person like I am it's probably a good idea to ride with a partner. When your by yourself, it ends up pushing you forward in the carriage, and because of the force, it's alot harder to move back than you might think... This is why there are Foot Plates on the Edges.
  23. What do those coasters have anything to do with each other? It's not like Lagoon and CP are competitors. Clearly this needed more explanation. I grew up with CP always being the "cutting edge" park, always having the biggest and best of everything. I've always thought of them as competing against the whole world, not just their regional competitors. So I was pretty disappointed in the news that they're getting a B&M dive machine because to me, these rides are totally outmoded. Their only claim to fame was the vertical drop, which is now a common element on rides both much smaller and much larger including three at Cedar Point itself. And now the cherry on top is that a tiny park in Utah, one year prior, is opening a ride that appears to do everything a B&M dive machine does except 3x better. That's my humble opinion, if you'd like to discuss the various merits of this argument we should probably take it to the CP thread but anyway that's what I meant. Ummm, Lagoon is America's Largest Family Owned Amusement Park, at 143 Acres, has 3 Coasters Designed In House, and has 50 Rides.... that doesn't sound small to me. Lagoon is also well known and has a great reputation in the Industry, including those who own and manage parks.
  24. No, I mean that Roller Coaster's "new" lapbars suck compared to the old ones. I know it's been a long time, but I still remember how disappointed I was when they changed them. The stupid boxy divider and the stupid part of the lapbar that doesn't fit the 90 degree profile of the rest of the bar suck. That's how I felt about it when I was 12, so that's probably how I will always feel. Riding Roller Coaster with the Buzz Bars was Awesome!
