  1. Red Dawn Awesome?? FINALLY, a PTR thats different! I REALLY enjoyed it! You added a little twist which was just well done! -Ryan
  2. The film that recently made me cringe the most was 28 Weeks Later... It was MUCH different then the first..more gore etc. I just wasn't prepared for the amount of gore in this one..but overall it was a well done movie!! -Ryan
  3. What do you mean by different priorities? I stated my opinion...if he doesn't like it then fine...but don't have to say that Im wrong And I said that in one of my above posts..it may be cheaper..but you're still killing an hour. Why not spend the full time in the park riding rides and only having to take 30 minutes to eat?
  4. Heres one to add to Kumba's Line! -Ryan "Love You Cam!" King
  5. You would rather go outside the park and pay MORE for less quality food then Disney? I absolutely LOVE Disney food. Although it may be a little pricey..its fantastic food. Mickey Pancakes, Pizza Port ETC. Nuff Said! Also...You really cant go wrong with that. And the only problem with leaving is that you're killing about an hour to leave the park, eat, then come back in! Its much more convenient to eat at the park, IMO -Ryan
  6. Hallelujah To That Erik!! Im really looking forward to Cedar Point...thanks for the awesome PTR!!! -Ryan
  7. Ill try and help you out. Been going to Disneyland since I was three..going there about twice a year! Best Places to Buy food-: I PERSONALLY, LOVE Pizza Port. Pizza port is located RIGHT next door to Space Mountain. You can get noodles, salads, pizza etc for relatively LOW prices! Plus they have an ampule amount of seating. All of which is indoors. Buying Dinner Outside the Park-: BAD IDEA. Later in the evening, MANY people leave the park. I would recommend you STAY in the park. Arriving at 10-: I don't see this being a HUGE problem. It all REALLY depends on lines. If Space Mountain is under 20 minutes, Id wait. Otherwise get a fastpass. Then I would head over to Indianan Jones. These are really the "big rides". Pirates, Haunted Mansion etc move VERY fast due to their loading capacity. Matterhorn-: I personally DONT find it all that rough! You BETTER ride it! Do both sides..they both offer a different ride. I would suggest you ride it at night. It gives for an awesome experience...plus lines aren't so bad. If you have more questions....please ask!! -Ryan
  8. Not too bad of a PTR. I was really pumped in seeing that SFMM has been repainting stuff. (Lines, Rides ETC) But for some odd reason..your report seemed to show to me a lot of the work that STILL needs to be done at the park! *sigh* Hopefully one day the park will be back up to speed... -Ryan
  9. Ummm...Ride doesnt open until Juneish. Way to keep up with current events! -Ryan As far as i knew, it was (before they tore out the piece of track) operational. I didn't mean guests, i meant any testers or somthing that could have said: A) The roll was too insane. and B)There was head banging. It just seems like ann odd policy to decide upon before the ride has had human testers. Oh ok, my apologies! -Ryan
  10. Ummm...Ride doesnt open until Juneish. Way to keep up with current events! -Ryan
  11. Disney HAS confirmed that the ride WILL be open on June 11th. Although..the ride WILL NOT open with the park that morning. It will open around noon-time. And Im soo going to be there. -Ryan
  12. AH ha! Heres a poll On Pizza I did-: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29260&highlight=pizza Pizza Chain - California Pizza Kitchen Local - Me-N-Eds
  13. Very Nice! Enjoyed your PTR very much so! Gave us a beginning - end day! Very well done! Thanks!! -Ryan
  14. The DeLorean is gone! NO!!! Damn the Heavens!! Anywho! Again, fantastic PTR..made me smile! I really do like how KT's hormones have made her to speak like Robb!! -Ryan
  15. You didnt steal the DeLorean for me!?! Jeez! And dang...KT is livin the life! *Jealousy* Glad you guys are livin it up in Orlando..keep us up to date!! -Ryan
  16. Well..that is the most logical post youve posted thus far. Youve actually stated an opinion that makes sense... These kinds of posts are what causes people to NOT "cut you slack"
  17. I don't hate Vekoma at all. Have you been on Deja Vu at Magic Mountain? That thing is INSANE. It didn't bash me around at all. Heck, it was smoother than Scream. I would assume that Expedition Everest isn't an awful ride. So that would mean that all the people who love that ride cannot completely hate Vekoma. How many of their rides have you even been on to make that generalization. Are you getting it from the coaster community? Because they are certainly not everyone. Man, I totally forgot about EE being a Vekoma! As I said earlier...I dont HATE Vekomas either! They just have a bad rep. for being a little on the rough side. But they take you to your limits.
  18. Very Nice Joe! Im sure Jahan wouldnt mind getting at your big meaty balls one day... -Ryan
  19. The park is in NO way Ghetto! For those of you who DONT know what Ghetto MEANS..let me enlighten you. I see NO discrimination at this park! Its a BRAND new park..gotta get it some slack! Of course operations will be So-So. Rides will be under maintenance..i mean the Log Flume isn't even finished yet! This park reminds me A LOT of Bonfante Gardens..but Bonfante is in NO way a Ghetto park. Give the park time to get ALL its rides done. Give them time to work on landscape etc. Its still WAYYY too soon to judge the park -Ryan
  20. Oh Ok! I TOTALLY get what you mean now! "It just doesnt fit" Your example of dropping a classic woody between Nemesis and Air Just DOESNT work...that makes perfect sense Lou!! (Not being sarcastic) -Ryan
  21. I think Goliath is the LEAST of our worries. I think Goldrusher and Colossus NEED it MUCH more then Goliath. But thats Just MO Superman is a huge rusting "garbage can". I find it in no way thrilling... You made a good point by saying the paint will fade and such...TRUE. But anything is better then looking at rusting metal -Ryan
  22. The only people qualified to make such sweeping statements as that at the start of your last paragraph are those who have ridden EVERY B&M and EVERY Vekoma in the world. And to be fair, to make a truly objective comparion they would have to have ridden them all within, let's say at most, a year. Generalisations like that make no sense. It doesn't surprise me, having seen some of the media coverage, to read the kind of comments Will posted on the last page. A lot of the GP *do* have seriously short-term memories. They rode Nemesis last year, they loved it. They rode Infusion this year, and think it's better than what they remember Nemesis to be. Of course, in their opinion, maybe it IS better than Nemesis, which is fine, but I think if most people could ride them one after the other Nemesis would likely win out. I'll reserve judgement until I ride it next month, but even if I like it, I'm not sure I like it being there, if that makes sense. Many here know I'm not exactly a Blackpool fan, but I do recognise the charm of the park in a fairly major way, and as somebody commented earlier, all the other coasters have some unique or historical value to them. This just seems... Odd. It doesn't fit in at all, in my view. But then, I guess the same could've been said for Big One when that was put in, so... I'll get used to it. Yeah..you make a good point Lou. But from what I recall..when I was there. The only thing standing where Infusion is now was a run down Log Flume? I mean...who misses the log flume?? BPPB threw something more thrilling in its place. Something to deliever more thrills to people. Im glad they did what they did...it only makes the park look THAT much cooler. They pack family fun in such a tight space. -Ryan
  23. Actually, it just says that it is going to be repainted, you didn't state in what colors. Eh, whatever, you got the point across to me. Sorry for your trouble! ---Brent Last time I was at SFMM (West Coast Bash), I remember talking to an Employee (No...not your normal Joe Employee). He informed the group that Superman WILL be repainted...the color scheme was currently Red, Yellow, and Blue. (These colors subject to change!) IMO...Superman is a WASTE of steel in general. I think it should be torn down and made into something much more useful, but I know THAT wont happen. So i guess a "repaint" will help make the eye sore in the sky a little more photogenic. -Ryan "Still thinks Goldrusher and Colossus deserve a repaint BEFORE Superman" King
  24. Dude...what the HELL are you talking about!?! Vekoma likes to take you to your "limits" per-say. Deja Vu, Boomerang, Face Offs etc. I Happen to enjoy Vekoma rides... TRUE..they're not the "smoothest" rides in the world.. But hey, when you're thrown backwards through a loop and a cobra roll, you expect that to be smooth!!! B&M is very good, yes. BUT..B&M Doesn't really take you backwards through Cobra rolls...or have you sit face to face like Vekoma does. I like to look at it as though Vekoma really takes you to your outer most limits. On the other hand, B&M is known for their fast, speedy, airtime, inversion after inversion coasters. Blackpool's addition of Infusion, IMO, is a fantastic idea! I believe you also noted that in 5 years the ride will turn to crap? Possibly..but that's due to low upkeep costs. BPPB does a FANTASTIC job at keeping their park up to speed, along with all their rides and attractions...so cut them some slack!! -Ryan "End Rant" King
  25. Probablly Late, But Happy Birthday dude! -Ryan
