1. Youd be suprised at how many DeLoreans are in Fresno! A lot of people like to time travel back to the time when they didnt live in Fresno! And the Licnese plate is kind of a thing we do in my family. My dad's is "RONKING" my mom's was "JANKING" and mines "RYNKING" Just kind of a "tradition" so to speak. -Ryan
2. We bought the car because we are huge fans of Back To The Future. The car not only has a Flux Capacitor, it also has a Hooverboard also. Since I last posted, the car has gotten a new stock DeLorean engine with Upgraded HP - (197). Custom Exhaust, New Radiator, plus a bunch of other random updated crap. Ive also posted new pictures. Kristen!!!
3. G-Force = Really Really Crappy! But Anyhow! Ive loved reading all of the updates and anticipate much much more! Also not to mention I look forward to the DVD with all the sexy HD Camera shots. Keep Em Comin! -Ryan
4. Awww...Damnit...Now I wish I shouldve gone on the Europe Trip! PLEASSE Keep up the updates, theyre keeping me occupied while I'm at work! Love all you guys! Give Kristen a Hug for me! -Ryan
5. I do agree with what you have to say. The point I was making is that you can't compare this movie to the other three. I honestly think this one stands by itself. It was really unique how they pulled the Roswell crash into this and tied the crystal skulls together. I was excited to see it, and I was pleased with how it came out. It just doesnt compare to the others... Really, I need to go see the movie again and gather my final thoughts.
6. Thank You! But I find the Ark, Grail and Magic Rocks to be more believable then extraterrestrial life...
7. Quoted from Wikipedia.org
Effects Stunts involving vehicles were shot on location in Hawaii, while CGI was used to add plants to the forestProducer Frank Marshall stated in 2003 that the film would use traditional stuntwork so as to be consistent with the previous films.[69] CGI was used to remove the visible safety wires on the actors when they did their stunts (such as when Indiana whips on to a lamp).[17] Timed explosives were used for a scene where Indiana drives a truck through a wall, which was dangerous because one explosive did not set off and landed in the seat beside Ford.[70] During filming, Steven Spielberg estimated 30 percent of the film's shots would require CG matte paintings,[66] which contributed to the total 450 effects shots, which also include monkeys, army ants, the infinite warehouse crates, the flying saucer, the City of Gold, its gods and the atomic explosion. Spielberg initially wanted brushstrokes to be visible on the matte paintings for consistency with the effects of the previous films, but decided against it.[19] The script required a non-deforested jungle, but this would have been unsafe. Visual effects supervisor Pablo Helman (who worked on Spielberg's War of the Worlds and Munich) traveled to Brazil and Argentina to photograph elements that were composited into the final images.[71]
8. Here's My Review - Go see it, get an opinion for yourself. Don't go by what everyone else is saying. But if you're going to go see it thinking its going to top the original three movies, you're very much mistaken. The original movies were all made in the 1980's when computer technology was just starting to take shape. The older movies all had to be made with sets and the actions scenes really had to be made believable. When seeing the Temple of Doom you really considered, Hey, Maybe this Temple REALLY does exist! Or seeing Indiana Jones find the Ark for the first time... But living in the 2000's, you have access to incredible computer technology that allows you to create scenes without having to leave your desktop. This movie does play in a lot of CGI, which is a disappointment when compared to the old Indiana Jones films. I was so used to amazing set designs, instead of CGI. But something I did read on the Internet was that Lucas NEVER once made Indiana Jones, Mutt Williams or any of the other characters CGIed. All of the stunts you saw in the movie were all actually performed in front of a green screen. To me, that's impressive when you look at the scenes where Mutt Williams is Sword Fighting the Russian. But the point I'm trying to make here is that the new film does still incorporate a lot of what the old films had going for them. And at the same time, putting a twist on things to "spice it up." Many people have said the beginning of the movie was the most incredible. Sadly, I must agree. As the film went on it lost more and more of its luster. But the story stands on its own. Yes, it is much more far fetched compared to the past Indiana Jones films. I said to myself that the old films were almost believable in regards to the Ark, the Grail and so on. But You can NOT compare this movie to the old films. In my opinion, they are two COMPLETELY different things and stand on far sides of each other. But this new film is much more "unbelievable." The movie was very odd and how it revolved around extraterrestrial beings from other planets. The story made much more sense to me since Ive seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind. But if you haven't seen this movie, then the story will seem WAY out in left field. Go look it up and read the plot - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close_Encounters_of_the_Third_Kind Overall, I thought the movie was great. The special effects were very well done and I found the acting to be incredible also. I loved Shia LeBeoufs Character in the movie and found his personality to be one of an Indiana Jones film. Although the film wasn't like its Counterparts...it really showed that Harrison Ford really does show you that you're never too old to kick ass.
9. Since I got to stay at your apartment the last time I was down there, i thought id be able to recognize everything. But No! it was hard for me to even recognize where everything was due to all those damn balloons! What did you guys end up doing to get rid of them all?
10. Im In. i just have to call the ticket office and reserve my place!
11. The addition of Thomas Town is really a great thing for this park. I remember killing the park in a few hours time on the UK Trip, and with the addition of Thomas Town, it really helps to add a little something extra to a somewhat boring park. -Ryan
12. I dont think words can explain the flight home with Robb after he ate all of those god damn slidders.
13. I know Jay Thomas has already mentioned the return of this system. It will be known as, correct me if im wrong, "Six Flags TV". It will broadcast a bunch of cool stuff! Something along the lines of commercials, shows, music videos, etc! It should be a cool thing to watch while waiting in line throughout the park. -Ryan
14. I would highly suggest you go ride it. Ever since the ride got its repaint, its been running incredibly smoother.
15. All I can say Is...Wow Jay, You were right! The Three-Point Basketball Challenge WAS going to grab A LOT of attention! At first, I didn't think a Basketball Challenge game would really grab my attention, but by the looks of it, it seems to already be a big hit! But really, I'm really looking forward to ALL of the improvements that are in store for Magic Mountain. I was there for the Spain DVD Party, and heard Jay, Neil & Tim speak for the first time during the Q&A. They had a bunch of amazing ideas in store for SFMM. But afterwards, I do recall myself saying "You can talk the talk but you gotta walk the walk." And during this last visit, damn, you guys are walking the walk! I love the improvements and I love the enthusiasm! Work is being done and Magic Mountain is looking sharp! Keep it up! -Ryan King P.S. I look forward to riding X2 Very Soon!!!
16. hzDXCGodsgr I missed the B-Day Topic... Well, Happy Birthday Elissa! Love you! -Ryan
17. Dude... I friggin laughed so hard at your "Snorlax" reference. Really. Colin, youre amazing! I look forward to the day when we can hang out again! -Ryan
18. To Everyone Who went to WCB - I had an amazing time with all of you, and Didnt really get to say goodbye! But everything was amazing, the people, the food, SFMM, The Tours etc etc. I was very impressed! So thanks again, to all of you and SFMM! -Ryan
19. Thats the thing, SFMM is trying to BECOME more of a family oriented Park, but still appeal to the "Thrill Seeking". At the DVD Party, Jay had mentioned he wanted to be on top of the coaster record again. Meaning, beat out Cedar Fair and have the park with the most coasters! So in regards to the new coaster, a new addition would be fantastic. We can hope for a new woodie, steel or really anything for that matter! Im just excited for a new addition in general...
20. Yeah, Im still curious about that also. I remember Jay Thomas talking about it at the DVD Party, during the Q&A Presentation. I found the idea to be really cool, and was hoping something would become of it. Did he happen to say anything more in regards to the tunnels?
21. Question... Did X:\ What The F&*k get its Re-Theme yet? Sorry...X:\ No Way Out... I knew they were speculatuing on getting it a Re-Theme awhile back.
