That is too bad that Wild One was not running well that day, its normally the best coaster in the park. -
Parks Coasters and Rides in Movies and TV
Erik Johnson replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It is actually from SFMM, you can see Psyclone as well since it was filmed in front of the pathway that leads to those coasters. What was Deja Vu name in that again? Dragon Whip or something? -
Theme Park Review's 2008 Asia Tour!
Erik Johnson replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes, even in Chinese the coasters names are just as generic. For the 10 inversion coaster the chinese name is: Shi(4) Huan(2) Guo(4) Shan(1) Che(1) Shi(4) 10 Huan(2) Hoop Guo(4) Shan(1) Che(1) Through or over a mountain cart (roller coaster). So in chinese it means: 10 Hoop/Loop Coaster -

The Intamin wheel came from Superman: ROS as a gift from the park to Robb. I am pretty sure someone else ended up with it because it became the super duper Elissa Photo Bingo Prize. Boulder Dash is also now my favorite coaster, that thing was soooo awesome. -

Wow that is awesome. That has to be the best Superman clone simply for its theming. Thanks for spending the time posting these, it has been enjoyable to wake up and read these right before heading out to work. -

Is it sad that I live in Florida and still have yet to ride the Dania Beach Hurricane? I understand its a really good wooden coaster, which is an oxymoron in Florida. Thanks for posting. -

^ Awwww.....I am sorry. When was the last time you made a trip to Orlando? Maybe its time to head on down here for a few days. We can head up your way for next season, once the Boomerang is built at Carowinds. -

The coaster is based off Super Grover, which was one of my faves when I was a kid. Its basically just Grover with a cape. I Have no idea if they still use Super Grover in the new episodes, but he was popular in the 70's. Just to let you know Grover is voiced by Frank Oz who most know as the voice of Yoda and Miss Piggy. -

I am glad to have been your log flume shield Natalie. I can not wait to see more of this awesome Photo: TR. -
Ralph Bakshi's version of Mighty Mouse from the 80's was quite cool, but if we are talking about the 90's, my favorite has to be The Batman animated series.

Lakemont Park. It is basically a fair type park, but there is nothing wrong with that! The world's oldest roller coaster is located here, Leap The Dips. I found it to be a lot of fun, especially since there are absolutely no restraints. Everyone was denied on the kiddie coaster. #280 Skyliner. PTC Woodie. This thing beat me up a bit. I feel sorry for anyone who dares to ride in the back row. You do get some violent airtime on it, but it does hurt. #279 Leap The Dips. Oldest Coaster in the World! I cool little side friction coaster. I thought it was a lot of fun, for what it is. You do get little pops of air, especially in the back row. Which can be fun since there is nothing holding you in the car. #278 Toboggan. Chance Toboggan. Call me weird but I sort of like these things. Though this one had no padding on the roof of the car. What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Nitro at SFGadv. I was not feeling well at all that day, but I had to force myself to ride it since I really like it. -

Idlewild was the nicest park on the trip, and its my 2nd favorite park on the trip. Its really kind of reminded me of a smaller sized Knoebels, which is a really good thing. They have an assortment of rare rides/attractions that include the amazing caterpillar, Vekoma Mouse, decent flyers, adult hand-carts, Mister Rogers Ride, and Confusion Hill. #277 Rollo Coaster. PTC Woodie. Another nice family wooden coaster in another awesome setting. Yes, I do have a thing for coasters surrounded by trees. #276 Wild Mouse. Vekoma Mouse. It is the only mouse coaster that Vekoma built and it is a lot of fun. It does beat you up a little bit, but isn't that part of the fun? -

Time to add a few more reviews to this thread. The next park was Waldameer which ended up being my favorite park on the trip. ERT on Ravine Flyer II was really insane. It was pretty freaky to be on the front row heading up the lift hill when the heavens decided to soak us with rain. I should also note that Lake Erie was being lit up by continual lightning. I really liked the Wacky Shack as well as the Pirate's Cove walkthrough. #275 Ravine Flyer II. Gravity Group Woodie. Its my new favorite Gravity Group Woodie. This thing just is amazingly intense, especially at night in pouring rain. It makes it into my top 5 wooden coaster list. #274 Ravine Flyer 3. Miller Kiddie. While the actual coaster is average, I was really amazed how the whole coaster is over water. This includes the loading station. #273 Comet. PTC Woodie. A fun family wooden coaster which is surrounded by trees. The setting was nice, but the coaster was pretty average. #272 Steel Dragon. This was the second Maurer Shone Spinner coaster on the trip. While fun I preferred the one at Seabreeze. -

I too also liked the Sledgehammer. I wish that I rode a few more of the spinning rides that day, I really should have ridden the top scan after everyone said that it really did not spin too much...oh well. I too thought the powered coaster was the third best coaster in the park after Behemoth and Vortex. It might have been that cool monster surprise in the mountain. Was it a dragon? I honestly can not remember.
