I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed.
Erik Johnson replied to coasterdude5's topic in Random, Random, Random
^ Not to scare you, but I found getting my wisdom teeth out was a lot more difficult than a root canal. I should say that I did have complications with my procedure which was a little bit out of the norm. I really did look like Brando from the Godfather for a few days. Be super careful to try not to get dry sockets. The cleaning of those really hurt. Though I am not sure how you prevent getting dry sockets. -

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

For something that is not related to the Giga Coaster discussion, I went through some of my older video footage and put together a ten minute video with footage from 2006. Lots and lots of Hypersonic footage is included as well as everyone's favorite former park "ranger". Hey there TPR! I wanted to start up a new thread to share with you guys a new series of videos I specifically created for TPR/Coastertube for your viewing pleasure. Over these past few years I have shot hours upon hours of video while visiting parks across the US. You may have seen some of my footage in a much shortened format such as a music video. Well, I wanted to make things much simpler, plus I have a ton of unseen footage, and present a new series of videos that showcase these parks in a much more leisurely pace. The first video I present in this series was shot in 2006 at Paramount's Kings Dominion. As many of you know, 2006 was the finally year that Kings Dominion operated under the Paramount banner. In this ten minute video you will find a TON of Hypersonic XLC footage, as well as Italian Job, Volcano, and quite a few other attractions found in the park. After you watch it, please leave me feedback. I now present to you: Paramount's Kings Dominion 2006 [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=KDominionTPR2006outtakes_fx95[/coastertube]

Intamin Giga, as in something like MF? Or is it something else? -
I believe that SFoG has more rides on its Qbot system than any other Six Flags park. They do include every single coaster as well as many of the more popular flat/water rides. Since it is in the middle of summer you may decide that you want to get one, especially if you are going over the weekend. The Gold Qbot is quite expensive, but worth it if you are really into riding things more than once. Though you can earn all the credits and most of the regular rides with the regular Qbot, even on a busy day (I would do Superman and Monster Mansion ASAP) but you will probably not get many re-rides. http://www.sixflags.com/overGeorgia/tickets/flashpass.aspx EDIT: I forgot you mentioned that you will probably just be riding the big coasters in groups of one at a time , so the Gold Qbot will be the best bet. Especially since you will be going at "Little Kid" speed.

Great Photo:TR, and congrats on your 400th credit. For Cyclone, I have always found if you sit in the very back car in the front bench you can get some truly amazing rides. Anywhere else usually equals death. The same goes for Ninja. While it is still not a great ride, you just do not get banged up quite as much in that seat. Great Scream Machine I usually have somewhat descent rides sitting in the middle of the train in a middle row of a car (non-wheel seat). It still isn't really anything too special though. Dahlonega is named after a small gold mining village in north Georiga.

Have you ridden Son of Beast lately? I rode it last month, it was as bad as always. Seriously, that thing can really hurt people. I consider it to be the worst coaster I have ever ridden. Erik "Never going to ride SOB again" Johnson. -
