Hey Guys! I wasn’t exactly sure if this was the right place to post this but it seemed to make the most sense. If this is the wrong place I apologize. Either way I have had this idea running through my head for a minute and wanted everyone’s input and ideas. So the basic concept is this. As you know one of the most expensive parts or going from park to park across the country/world is the cost of staying in a half decent hotel. I was thinking wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a database of coaster enthusiasts who offer up their couches (similar to couch surfing) and or floors to other coaster enthusiasts visiting their home parks! This would be specifically theme park and enthusiast directed. I don’t know about you all, but I love it when I go to a new park and can meet up with someone who really knows and loves the place. Typically they can really show you the park in detail and they also know the good places to eat. I know I love showing people around my home park (Silver Dollar City) since I love it so much! It would also be a great way to meet other like minded enthusiasts. It’s a basic concept and my other half is a web developer and he says he could put this together easily. Do you all think this is a good idea? Is this something you all would use or like? What other things would you like to see it have? Thank you in advance for your ideas and thoughts! Nathan

My favorite is and will always be Fire In The Hole at Silver Dollar City! Although Verbolten is a close second!

Well despite how much I LOVE Silver Dollar City and Powder Keg the end of Powder Keg is a bit sad. That lift, dip, and curve seem pointless. I wish they would have just demolished the lift and added a extra airtime hill. But the first part of Powder Keg is still AMAZING! As Far as best well I was always partial to Orient Express at Worlds Of Fun. Perhaps it's mainly me being sentimental but that last butterfly curve and two turns through the trees into the station were great! . . . . Speaking of this I really miss Orient Express! Am I the only one? Yes it was a little bit painful and a tad racist but it was fun!

Well This really is a shame! But again it's not surprising. As we all know the board has a history of being . . . difficult. Oh Well I'm sure in the end this is a wise choice for Holiday World. Although I was really looking forward to going to that park with Koch family Running it! It was a basic guarantee of a world class wooden Coaster for the park! Oh Well.

Any kind of classic spinning swing rides scare me to death! I don't trust those flimsy chains! You won't see me on SkyScreamer at SF STL anytime soon! Also Ferris Wheels! The biggest tallest and fastest roller coasters don't phase me but those rides they scare the crap out of me!

OMG I never knew that I might get hurt on the stairs at a theme park! Well that's it I'm never going to another park! The risk is far to high! I guess I'll just go upstairs and take nap! At least I can't get hurt on those stairs!

I Agree Six Flags Did The Right Thing! It is still sad and I understand his disappointment I Do hope They at least issued him a refund for his day! I mean the only reason you go to a six flags park is for the rides! Seriously what else is there to do?

Wow Hanno! I LOVE this Thread! I haven't got to go on any TPR trip yet! My first will be next year! but this tread is getting me pumped up! Yep looks like those fancy new bathrooms with that new fangled indoor plumbing they are building for next year are really coming along nicely! lol

Thunderation at Silver Dollar City! First roller coaster I ever rode as well actually!

Well I'm not really new I've been on this site since like 2006 but I've decided to become more involved and actually post and stuff. I also plan to join club tpr! Super excited I am already saving money to actually go on one of these awesome European coaster tours! Japan too! Although anyone know when the next Midwest tour is?
