Hello everyone, this is my second TR ever my first being an Alton Towers one back in 07. Ill just start with a little intro about me. I'm Scott, i'm 24 and live in Wales in the UK. I am a Police Officer and have been serving in my local force for the last five years and i'm currently single. I'm a complete coaster geek and would say that Intamin is my number 1 passion. Totally obsessed with accelerators and anything touched by Arrow..........Me + Old School Arrow custom Loopers = Sexual Arousal!! So, yesterday we visited Oakwood theme park which is about 1.5 hours drive from my house. we arrived at 10:30 and at that point there were 23 cars in the car park! Good Times! Upon entering the park via the Mini Train (which is compulsary by the way) and made out way straight to Speed as my friend Catrin hadn't experienced a Gerstlauer Eurofighter of that calibre yet! My last time of riding this orange beast was last year and as I remember it was smooth as silk, ahem......its VERY different now! They were running only one car and it felt as if they had been running the same car since the park opened months ago. The car was juddery, the wheels felt like they hadnt been changed in years and whilst on the transition into the loop, I honestly felt that the car was going to de-rail! Didnt stop me riding it 5 times though! Rough as hell but still quite fun! We then headed over to Megafobia and walked straight into the station as there were no queues whatsoever. MF was running superbly, smooth as silk on the first drop and a complete airtime massacre for the rest of the course! I didnt manage to get that many pictures of MF but im sure you all know what it looks like! We then rode every other ride in the park to wait for Hydro to open. Its no Giga or 2nd Gen Drop Tower......But its Intamin......and for you! Not open til 2pm! Bad times Oakwood, Bad Times! Oooooh Intamin Goodness.......but wait.......what does it say on the gate? The superb ride op's at the bobsleigh even let me take him on with me! Nice one guys! Cat and I carried him around like this for the whole day! He is now my child and I will love him forever! Three Great British Pounds later.........and he's mine! Oh i forgot to tell you..... Im Spongebob MAD!!! Time to win a new plush! This picture is amazing! "PC" get it? No, Police Constable!!! One of few Huss shot and drops in the world, and in my opinion its quite Lame! Its no Intamin 2nd Gen! The Waterfall! No one fell off whilst i was watching....... Gutting! Me admiring a Big.....Hard........HUSS! Highest swinging ship EVER! Total floater time and 4 minute ride cycle! Before the complete unacceptable amount of wetness begins! Cobra and Python are the two enclosed slides and there are two open slides! They were only running Python today! Snake River Falls, never go on with me, I have this tendancy to soak whoever i'm with by scooping all the water over them with my hands! Us after the waterfall! Water went up my shorts and to my special place! Total refreshment! In-line twisty goodness! HELIX OF DOOM! Headache central! Mmmmmm if it wasnt orange and green, it be quite pretty! Hello you big orange erection! Insane Airtime hill! First stop.....Speed! Catrin being............ well...........Catrin! On the mini train, which is not very comfortable for a 6'4 dude! This is me, Scott and this is Catrin. Both are single, and both like boys!! hehe Most of the Oil missed the whole! Its hard tipping that massive thing into such a small hole! Firstly, Oil up the thing thats gonna get us there! Her name? RITA Queen Of Speed!

Ooooh adding a new dimension to The thread.......... I'd have to pick a mondial topscan too. I love them beyond belief, however if it was in my garden I'd have to abolish the minimum 15 person rule that parks over here follow and just have me on it by myself!!

Either from the past or present. Say for example, a millionaire said "I'll buy you any coaster you want, its not allowed to be custom built from new, it has to be either one that is standing at mo, or one from the past"....... What would you pick? I am completely obsessed with Drachen Fire, so would probably ask for that. Dont want any of the S&S Arrow rubbish, i want old school, rib breaking, whiplash creating Arrow!!! Failing that my second choice would be an Arrow shuttle loop. Built into the floor so the station is at ground level. I would enclose it and make the interior pitch black so first time riders wouldnt know the layout. As the train reaches the end of the first launch, i'd have in house strobes that flicker slightly to add to the effect and disorientation. Ive been thinking about this whilst on a course today and would be interested to see what you guys would pick if it was offered to you on a plate!! Arrow induced hard on! Enough excitement to cause a stir in my pants!

B and M, steelish, plug'n'play aquatrax! That's what wet dreams are made of! (when I say wet dreams, I mean, dreaming of ten rides on perilous plunge, not roller coaster boners........ That's just plain weird......ahem). Let's change the subject LOL

So guys do we think it's gonna be an Intamin or B and M? I'm thinking world first B and M, which judging by Altons previous prototypes, it will be awesome for a year or so then a bigger better one will be built across the pond!

Sorry for a really naff topic, im just racking my brains for the name of a coaster i wanna recreate in RCT 3. Its a boomerang I think, so made by Vekoma and i think it was in either China or Japan and is noe defunct. It was red in colour and was quite extreme from what I can gather. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks Scott x

They already have a splash battle silly LOL I don't think a coaster will replace corky due to the small footprint it was in. The only was this would be slightly feasable if some serious landscaping was done. Somehow me thinks AT won't be allowed to do this! What flat are we guessing then guts? It must have to fit in with the race theme too! (Before anyone says Aquatrax...I'll get it in) Aquatrax!!

Anyone have any ideas what's gonna happen to this baby? Will it go to scrap? Or will it be sold? It was 1.25 million pound then and is now awfully old so I can't see it being sold for much nowadays. I'd love to buy it, well my dad could buy it for me........hehe How much do we reckon guys?

Im sorry for the MASSIVE pictures guys! Im not good on the somputer thingys!

Me and the Mrs went to Oakwood to get this years Maegfobia credit! It was his first time on a woodie and he absolutely loved it however he didnt like the amount of ejector time the ride offered! We then headed for Bounce (Huss Shot and Drop) which offered its usual amount of so-so fun unfortunately, when you have ridden Hurakan Condor, nothing cuts the mustard! Then we went to get our Speed credit. We were close to the front of the queue when a traqin left the station and was waiting at the bottom of the lift hill. All of a sudden some silly little girl was shouting "Get me off, get me off now" The ride ops E-Stopped the ride and evacuated the queue line. The dismount for all 8 riders took half an hour and when the girl got off she told ride attendants that she saw something fall off the in line twist and thats the reason she wanted to get off. So not only did she ruin it for everyone in the queue, by saying she saw something fall off resulted in the whole area being evacuated so the engineers could check it out. What exactly could fall off an inline twist I ask??? The track...........No still there............The bolts...................No still there................... after about 2 hours the area and ride were reopened and the ride attendants confirmed that nothing fell off the ride it was just the stupid girl imagining things!! So 3 hours of downtime for nothing!!! We then headed to Vertigo and after half an hour pursuading Justin to go on he agreed. I did feel really guilty when we were getting connected to the wires however i kept saying "its not as bad as it looks". Personally I think that sky coasters are NOT as scary as they look however after our flight he didnt agree.! All my other rides on Vertigo, I have been in groups of three and because im 6 ft 4 i always have to go in the middle and people who go in the middle NEVER pull the cord. Oh...shit......... now theres just two of us, and there is no way Justin is going to pull the cord so its up to me!! We were at the top and ~Justins complaining of a heart attack and wants to get off........ then we hear 3..........2..........1.............FLY and i pull the cord which honestly i never want to do again! I much prefer to just wait and let someone else pull the cord of doom! We then went back to megafobia and got our front row seats and as it was not 5pm it was running as smooth as silk! The amount of airtime on the bunny hops in the second half of the ride was immense! Whilst we were on MF we heard the unmistakable sound of speed running. Over we go......and suprise suprise its open! Again justin dodnt want to go on however i managed to pursuade him to last minute! Speed is alright however i think the airtime hill after the first drop is a tad too extreme. Its uncomfortable bordering on painful! Justin hated the ride which you will see from the on ride photo posted hehehe We then did a couple of smaller rides, pirate ship, spooky 3d, snake river falls etc and headed home. We didnt get the Hydro credit this time as it was freezing but i took some glorious photos for you to see! Beware - There are a couple of nerdy shots coming up! On with the photos! FLY! Look at the terror on Justins face HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (im so going to hell) lol Just before our ascent! The worst part of this ride is when the lift drops and you tilt violently to the floor! URGH! Before our flight on Vertigo! Justin and I on Speed, He did NOT like it at all! Vertigo doing what it does best! My favourite picture of the trip! What you lot think? Helix of death that makes your brain feel like its gonna explode! Twisted mess of steel! One huge mouth watering erection! Au Revior! This is when the stupid fanny got the ride E-Stopped! Down they go....... Thats one BIG lift hill and drop! Speeds 2nd inversion and 4.5G helix! The most extreme airtime hill I have ever experienced! Speeds super forceful neck snapping loop! TREETOPS! The Bounce! Station shot! Fobia queline waterfall which makes you really need a wee! Obligatory eerie mangled wood shot! Secondry couplet anyone? Me generally being a gimp! Just incase we forget what ride we are looking at! Flying over our heads! For you guys who get "wood" from lift hill shots! See what i did there lol I crack myself up! Wheel shot! Red Tain shot Arty farty lift hill shot! Megafobias Awesome first drop! Going over the second hill! Megafobia....Not my favourite woodie in the UK but it does have some kick ass ejector! The loudest ride in the park! The Bounce Closeup! Can anyone see a Eurofighter? Ummmm Fobia! Vertigo.......Dont worry, well get on ya later! Gone! Going......... Going..........
